  1. I think it depends on the ship. We are on Oasis this week and we were able to make our Izumi sushi reservation at the Suites Concierge kiosk when we boarded. Frankly, I was surprised. I was expecting to have to go down to the Izumi desk to do it but the Concierge handled all of my specialty and Coastal Kitchen reservations on the spot. I don’t think we could have done that for hibachi.
  2. Certificates can be combined if they are the same offer code. I am assuming, but do not know for sure, that the offer code on any 2 annual Prime tier comps would be the same…..so I’m tentatively saying the answer to your question is “yes”. Just be aware that the upgrade for a combined offer is pretty crappy….usually. We have found, over the years, that we are better off keeping our annual tier certificates separate. The small upgrade that you receive by combining them just doesn’t compare to 2 entirely separate 7 night cruises on the ship(s) of my choice. Can it be done ? Probably. Should it be done ? Not in our case.
  3. YIPPEE !!! So excited for you. We never made it to the RLS and at this point, we probably never will. Glad you are doing it while you can. Everything is going great this week on OA so I have no doubt it will continue for you next week. The weather has been awesome. How is your dad doing ?
  4. Welcome back, @teddy ! Glad to hear that you are doing well.
  5. Just left the Top Tier Event on Oasis. we are heading for Labadee right now....and an announcement was made during the event that we are still calling at Labadee. That could change but it isn't anticipated.
  6. Yes ! Noticed this about 3 times last night during Aqua80. I said to Dan, "they must have waved him off". Very interesting.
  7. Here's the thing though....let's say it does stop people from "wasting" food. What happens to that same food that is prepared, waiting to be eaten, but never ordered/served ? It goes to the fishes just like the plate of food would do if you ordered it and then wasted some of it. The whole thing is just stupid.
  8. We do not have photos taken often but we recently ran into this as well. I’m not sure if it’s a “new” policy or not. But yes….apparently photos taken in the restaurants are not eligible for the free Diamond benefit….which completely sucks b/c that is generally the only time I will be patient enough to have my photo taken. So now, we just wave the photographers “off” at the restaurants. What a waste of money to have them print the photo and drag it back to the restaurant with that cheap paper “frame”.
  9. Yes, this is a relatively new thing….maybe 6 months ago. My recent experience has been that the servers have been largely ignoring the rule but it is still a “thing”. I have found that if I tell the server that Dan and I are going to “share” the second entree, they will just bring it.
  10. Tapas in Vintages are not covered by the UDP and frankly, I don’t know about the pub. When we sailed on Anthem we were Star Class so pub food was included but I don’t know about the UDP.
  11. Definitely a full show tonite. It is possible that they are missing a female diver but it didn’t impact the show at all. Excellent show as always.
  12. Thanks ! It’s my fave. Looking forward to it. Wish you and J were here with us.
  13. We should all be going through the Panama Canal that week….
  14. This happened when Allure was launched. We were scheduled to be on the inaugural but they moved it up 1 week. They did call and ask if we wanted to move over to the new inaugural but we were flying to cruises in those days so we just stayed on our original sailing.
  15. We’re supposed to be going to Labadee this week. No indication of a change of itin.
  16. We have reservations for tonite’s show. Hopefully all is well.
  17. On OA now and I noticed this morning that there are casitas that face the ocean.
  18. I thought the Sky JS on Utopia WAS full Sky benefits. No ? I have one booked on Utopia in Sept.
  19. Congratulations on getting to Prime. It’s an important hurdle. Yes, the number of casino comp rooms are limited. Nobody really knows (intentionally) how many rooms of any cabin type are a available on any particular sailing so it’s anybody’s guess. Yes, everyone will be trying to book as soon as the comp cruises are made available (usually around 4-15 but can be any time after 4-1) so booking ASAP is wise. Yes, available casino comp rooms will become harder to get the longer you wait. Casino comp rooms will be very limited (assuming, based on previous experience) on the newer ships….for instance, Icon will be eligible for casino comps sailing after 1-27-25 so everyone and their brother will be trying to book an Icon comp for Feb-Mar 2025. My guess is that very few cabins will be available for casino comps on those sailings to begin with and they will go quickly. Maybe Royal will block casino comps from Icon entirely but if they do, that would a dick move. I hope they don’t.
  20. If I recall, all beds can be split EXCEPT for those in Star Class. So unless I'm mistaken (which is entirely possible), the bed in the MBR on the 2BR ATS cannot be separated.
  21. Not exactly the same thing, but with the Royal Up, which is kind of like a GTY....I found that the resulting room that was assigned to me (oceanview balcony) was actually a much nicer room than I had chosen for myself on the second half of my Radiance B2B. I thought I had chosen a nice room for leg #2, but when I got there, it was a huge disappointment and it turns out that the RU that was awarded on leg #1 had been a much nicer room !! Completely random chance, I realize that....but it goes to show that sometimes the room you THINK will be better, really isn't !
  22. This is very disappointing. How in the world are you supposed to know what the fare/cost will be BEFORE you make a booking ? Completely unsat.
