It's Italian night in the MDR..I'm skipping because I wasn't paying attention to port time being an hour earlier and I didn't shower and get ready in time.
Tomorrow was supposed to be Costa Maya but the captain came on and said the meteorologist says it's going to be too windy and unsafe to dock tomorrow so we are going back to Cozumel for another stop. This time we are going to dock at Punta Langosta. It's been a long time since I've docked in that part of Cozumel. It's close to MEGA though so I may walk the couple blocks there and grocery shop for unique Mexican goodies.

I actually did an excursion in Belize today. Never been here and while I would have loved to go cave tubing, definitely wasn't going to do that solo. I just took a bus tour called "Best of Belize" and it was the typical bus tour. They used full sizecharter buses which was nice and more comfortable.

I ran into handcuffs in the casino last night. She said she was avoiding chatty Alaska and just couldn't handle another dinner 😂
She definitely isn't trying to hook up with scuba boy, though.

I'd starve on a smaller ship without the WJ, lol.

Last night my handcuff beastie didn't show for dinner. Neither did scuba boy (who apparently won 2nd place at the belly flop competition). So it was just chatty Alaska and her new friend that she invited to join us. What killed me last night is Alaska made it a point to sit in the chair next to where handcuffs had sat the first 2 nights so she could talk to her, leaving her new friend on the complete opposite side of the table by herself.
Then her friend's salmon was overcooked and that was a whole thing. I think I lost my voice from saying, "Thanks, everything was great" eleventh five hundred times to every random crew member that had to stop by the table because the salmon was dry.
Alaska won't eat seafood on cruises because she catches and cooks her own and it is much better, which I don't doubt at all and didn't doubt any of the 10 times she mentioned it 😅

Welcome to Cozumel part 2.
Sent my wash and dry laundry off this morning so I will get it back all folded for packing into my luggage.
Last night was just shenanigans with my handcuffs BFF...watched karaoke and then went to the Schooner Bar, they finally opened up the casino at 10:30pm so we went there..then back to karaoke and then to the nightclub 😅 and then back to the casino. Good thing this is a small ship and not as much running back and forth as it sounds.
I still haven't decided if I'm going to bother to get off the ship. I feel like I should take advantage of bring docked downtown but I also like air conditioning and staying out of the sun.
 
 

Ok I'm finally caught up, and i still stand by my UC comment! 
And ha! Give a vintage an inch and they'll take a mile! One time, Batman and i were on a canceled flight. Instead of waiting in line, i called the airline to make sure we were rebooked and had seats together. This vintage came running at me waving her ticket and her phone in my face, saying "now do the same for me! My name is on my ticket and I'd like an aisle seat!" I hadn't hung up with the airline yet, and needless to say "Betty" was my "aunt" and i got her an aisle seat near us on the same flight. 🤣

You are a shenanigans magnet for sure! I'm fortunate that I don't get unsolicited conversations from random most of the time..just the way I like it.
Although last night when I was walking around the casino this vintage came up to me out of nowhere right up into my face and asked me how to use the slot machines. Before I knew it I was showing her how to set her PIN number and charge to her room. Then she asked me how she gets a drink and I told her to look for the servers as they roamed. Then I offered to get her a drink at the bar and she took me up on the offer 😂

I don't need fb for shenanigans 🤣 🙃.  But you find out a lot that way.
I think radiance and Grandeur suffered from the same issue as I could smell sewage smells when I was on Grandeur last January.
But being in the casino and solo often allows for you to view the worst of humanity.
Personally I think nothing was as bad as the group of 900 on Allure in October 2023. They kicked people off in every port I believe.

It's really a disturbing look into the human condition.
Someone apparently knocked a lady off of her scooter yesterday too..not related to the pool bar fight.

This pretty much sums up the griping.

I haven't decided if I'm going to be motivated enough to get off the ship today. 🙃 I haven't been motivated enough to leave the cabin yet this morning.
Not having to share a bed with this bed hog has been glorious, not gonna lie.

Facebook never lets me down...apparently there was a Pool Bar fight yesterday that sent someone to medical. And those involved in the fight are going to be kicked off in Cozumel today. 🍿

You would think this ship is falling apart.




 

People ask me why I enjoy cruising when my pasty, white self avoids sun and has never been in a cruise ship pool or hot tub more than ankle deep... this is pretty much why. 😂
For some reason the people watching on a cruise trumps all other vacations I have experienced.

Today has been uneventful. Had to work a little bit so spent most of the time in my cabin. Internet speeds have been amazing which is great for me as I have to use a VPN.
Handcuff lady is my dinner BFF. She's a casino cruiser as well and said she closed down the casino last night at 2am.
The other 2 solos at our big 8 person table have bonded. I don't think I remember names but one lady is from Alaska and the other is a guy that likes to scuba dive. Alaska is quite chatty. 
They went to the solos and singles meet up this afternoon and made friends that they want to invite to join our table. 
Handcuff lady is not the biggest fan of chatty Alaska. Alaska is one of those that has a story about everything. Handcuff lady told me she is going to try to come up with the most outrageous thing she has ever done to see if Alaska can one up it. I can not wait. 😆
Alaska also didn't like the butternut squash soup so that had the servers and head waiter and maitre'd hover at our table for the rest of the evening.

Choosing early dining means there's time for second dinner..

She gave us some story about how she's has a friend onboard and she's gonna toss them into her cabin so the steward will see them..not quite sure what the game is but makes me want to make sure I make dinner every evening 😂

But back to dinner...my "healthy choices".
Watered down spaghetti sauce..menu said it was tomato soup, and I guess technically that was not a lie.

Prime rib, medium rare

Cheese plate which was a ball of blue cheese (my favorite! 😍), orange cheese (tastes like plastic), and Swiss (🤮). There was also a ball of something that felt sticky and smelled sweet that I vetoed putting my mouth.

This is my third time cruising out of Tampa. I always mean to catch going under the bridge, and I always miss it. This time I was close! 
Getting an Centrum elevator is rough on this class of ship but I didn't have the time to run all the way to the forward elevators nor do I have the knees to climb from deck 4 to 11.

I think this is Radiance's first sailing after a drydock. It was a check under the hood kinda thing I assume. They still kept Samba Grill!


I will not be springing for the meat sweats this sailing.

This is an interior for 4. Last time I was in an interior cabin with 4 people I was tempted to Oscar, Oscar, Oscar one of my cabin mates.

For just me it's more than adequate. Storage would definitely be tight for more than 2.
