I love the addition of “caption this”. I think we should keep this going in future blogs. I’m waiting for a picture of you and Shane and my caption will be “Reunited and it feels so good” Lol Oh and happy cruise day!!

You should start to feel Genie powers soon. I am surprised you didn’t just have Shane speak to the front desk and concierge.

Details are so sketchy on these cabana/villas. It’s frustrating. I reached out to Royal Caribbean about this one also and got no helpful information and the pictures I requested never arrived. After being at the resort I still don’t know what/where these cabanas were but agree the picture leads me to believe they are on the 2nd floor of the villa. Who knows Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Report back if you sort it out.

So annoying! I went back to check my reservation and I wasn’t charged the extra fee for Reyd. He was on the reservation but I always check us in when we arrive by myself so it’s possible we didn’t pay an upcharge because they didn’t see Reyd. Regardless, I don’t think they monitor who goes into the lounge so I would be tempted to let the girls enjoy it. Lol Interestingly enough I also saw my price I paid for club level bay view and it was under $300 per night in Dec 2021. It’s more than double that on our upcoming stay this December.

This made me laugh. If he is anything like Lindsay I understand why he drew the short straw. Reyd and I always sit together because Lindsay sits down, puts in AirPods and we don’t hear from him until we land. When we fly economy we put him in the middle seat and talk around him.

Hey, Blog fatigue is real right along with star class food coma. Lol Speaking about food, I am pretty sure I mentioned it in my blog but food portions are on the small side at Paradise Beach so the guys ordered doubles of most things.

You will really enjoy having a table to yourself. We found it to be a totally different the experience, more engaging and fun. This^^^^^^ I offered to take the tub Add in Portside and Playmakers and it’s a hard combination to beat.

I know, it’s crazy! I am faced with similar or worse pricing for our upcoming cruise over Christmas. Ugh I agree, they were all empty when we were there and for that price for 6 people it makes sense. I hear you! This was our first time to Roaton but we said next time we would stay on ship too! Good for you. Then I would do it. In my case the villa was $1599.00 and definitely didn’t compare to the overwater cabana at PDCC. I think I paid $145 pp for the VIP so it was quite a price difference for the 3 of us. Beach was nice enough; we walked in the water but that was the extent of our water adventure. lol My expectations were low and it was fine, not great. Not sure anything would compare to PDCC but I went into this knowing that. I love Oasis; we had Shane as our genie who was the best! Oasis has great genies. We definitely get spoiled by our genies. Star class perks are definitely not recognized on excursions. Closest we got was receiving messages from Berty checking to see how we were doing. lol Yes, you are at the resort for 4 hours. Travel is about 45 each way. I was worried about the trip over there based on the warnings in the cruise planner but thankfully we had a good driver. No harrowing corners or drop offs. The bus ride was very squishy but it had AC. I stuck with bottled water and soft drinks but there is a good selection of drinks.

We were here over Christmas and stuck with the VIP excursion. I was glad we didn’t spend more for the villa. By the time you arrive you only have 4 hours so the cost is harder to justify. It’s not like at Coco Cay when you have from 8-5pm to enjoy. The service in the VIP area was excellent but food options and food quality were not great. Food choices in the VIP area are very limited and the server was not able to bring food from the non VIP menu (hotdogs, burgers, fries etc) Both my son and I ended up going to the main dining area to eat lunch. Hubby stuck with the VIP food and regretted it; we think it was the lobster, regardless it wasn’t good and our genie alerted the excursion manager. Thankfully something tasted off and he stopped eating it. Here are some pictures of the villas, located behind the VIP area. I felt the VIP was overpriced for what we got and I grabbed it for a pretty good price. On the plus, we were there over Christmas and it was not over crowded in the VIP area like many other beach excursions; plenty of loungers, umbrellas and towels. Our experience was fine but we wouldn’t do it again. I know villas and cabanas value are subjective to many people but I am definitely #teamcabana. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions.

Lucky you! We will be getting off her on a B2B over Xmas a couple days before you guys board. One of these days I will get a chance to cruise with @Lovetocruise2002 but until then we may have to meet on land post my cruise and pre her cruise. Lol

Ravi took care of us too. We loved him but didn’t spend as much time in CK as we normally do due to 3 early morning excursions and 2 early morning flowrider sessions. I made a point to mention him in our survey.

They tried that with us too…so boring and when you have purchased a package it gets redundant. We started to refuse the Huggie Huggie, Kissy Kissy shots. They always turn out awful. Disney had some of the best photographers. I still remember when they had Lindsay lay and stacked Reyd and I on top of him. If you ask Lindsay he will say it wasn’t worth the shot but I disagree. Lol

Don’t forget about the crouching tiger hidden dragon pictures. Still no idea why the photographer kept telling Lindsay to crouch down further but it was all the urging Lindsay needed to misbehave. Some sans shirt inspo for @GregD

I feel the weighted blanket things puts a whole new spin on my 5 checked bags and 3 carryons weighing in at 268 pounds. Just saying….

Berty saw pictures of our photo shenanigans; we joked with him about them having a board in back of office with our pictures pinned showcasing all the outrageous stuff star class guests do. Haha, nothing to see here! Have you forgotten we stayed in 4 hotels in 8 nights with ALL our luggage. Poor Lindsay and Reyd, hauling all that luggage in and out and they didn’t say a peep. Lol My biggest biggest fear with Uber/lyft is that our luggage won’t fit. That’s why I always book the SUV.

This brings back such great memories. Getting on Oasis, Shane and lunch at Portside BBQ. It remains our best embarkation experience to date.
