I was in the cruise planner app and it says I'm traditional dining. Does anyone know how can I change that to my time dining?

Contact Royal direct. Once you are switched to My Time Dining, go back and make reservations for times/days you want to dine at/on the Cruise Planner.

Getting kind of fed up with RC over transfers from Venice to Ravenna.

I booked the cruise from Ravenna and phoned for the transfer to and from the port to the port from Venice and from the ship to Bologna.

I got the e-docs and the voucher supplied is only for the post cruise I have no pre-cruise vouchers so I phoned them up and had to spend 40 minutes on the phone while their supervisor had to manually update their booking. I was then told it would be reflected in my docs in 5 days. We are now 7 days later and my docs haven't changed.

I'll need to phone tomorrow again now and spend another 40 minutes on the phone. We fly out 2 weeks tomorrow to venice. I'm not sure if we don't get on the coach that we would be able to find alternative transport. (Taxis cost 350$ one way.) This isn't something to leave to chance, I'd prefer to have something in writing.

Have you tried the online chat feature from the UK website (not sure if the US site has it?)? It is very quick to sort many issues with it., and you can stay connected while they email you new documents.

  3. What's the price of 3 night or 5 night dining package on your sailing? They usually price the single night high to get people to buy the multi night packages. For instance on my sailing it $65 for one night and comes down to $40 with the 3 night package, and lower to $37 if I buy the 5 night.

Hi guys I’m sailing in next few weeks and hadn’t received my itinerary so called up as first timer and didn’t know time span to receive

last I have no extras in they asked me if interested in drinks packages etc.   they offered me £40 each per head   Total bargain as won’t take a lot to reach that even on coffees etc and odd drink

heads up for any cruisers in next few weeks make the call ✔️✅

This deal is only for EU/UK passengers for the 2022 season sailing from EU/UK with some exclusions. Not everyone can partake in this offer.

How would i find out which ones are obstructed view on Oasis? Our allocated rooms at the moment are on deck 11 front facing, which im not massively keen on so i think we would still be better off changing to the oceanview balcony guarantee. Bit of a lottery i suppose.

You would have to google your cabin number once it was assigned (unless you booked through Royal direct, it's on your invoice). You are right it's a bit of a lottery, you have to decide if the location and view of your cabin is worth the savings, as you have no say in these.

If you booked a non-refundable deposit cruise, you likely got a lower price.  Stated differently, if you had purchased a refundable deposit cruise, you would have been obligated to pay more at final payment.  We typically book well in advance and have our travel agent book with a refundable deposit.  But in the end we are hedging our bets as we pay more for the total package.

Bottomline: The net "loss" is the deposit less the discount you received at the time of booking, not really the total deposit.  If you want planning flexibility, book refundable deposits, and consider the type of travel insurance you purchase (the conditions under which you are covered for changes or cancellations).

I have a sneaky suspicion they are from the UK (or London, Ohio). Unfortunately persons who booked in the UK are unable to book refundable deposits, or at least I have never seen the option. We do however have very good consumer protections in place when it comes to package holidays(which Royal sells its cruises under here).

Booze package would have to be in the neighborhood of 100 bones per day for me not to break even. Between the coffees and pelegrino with every meal and mucho booze in between, poor royal loses money on me.

Same here, even with the wife drinking less than me (she makes it up in bottled/canned water). Between, sodas, coffee, water, juices, and alcohol, we easily get our money's worth.

    I'm curious about these Airtags..

You’re sitting on Aircraft watching last of luggage getting loaded and your luggage is still showing in main terminal. Can you instruct crew to find your luggage even if it holds up flight?

I think the answer is no you cant, but at least you will know that your luggage didn't make it, and then you plan to get it to you on the next flight out to your destination?

I don't see anything about the honor system.  Am I missing it?

The vaccination appears to be more strict, requiring the booster if your original vax is over 270 days.

    Vaccine requirements

All guests aged 16 years and over need to be fully vaccinated* with an approved COVID-19 vaccine a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. If more than 270 days (calculated from the last day of the cruise) have passed since the full completion of a vaccination course, a booster vaccine will also be needed and must be administered a minimum of seven days prior to travel.

Guests who have had one booster vaccine, regardless of the date, are considered fully vaccinated. At this time, a second booster vaccination is not required, however, we strongly recommend all guests to have booster vaccinations at the earliest opportunity, should they be available to them, in order to comply with evolving vaccine policies from the countries we visit.

All guests aged 12 to 15 years need to be fully vaccinated* with an approved COVID-19 vaccine a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. A booster vaccine is not required.

Guests under 12 years of age are not required to be vaccinated.

*The definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ is having completed an approved (by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL)) two-dose COVID‑19 vaccination course, or the approved single-dose Janssen COVID‑19 vaccine (plus a booster if applicable).

My comment is in regards to testing - they will only be asking guests if they have had a negative result from a self administered test, no supervision or certificate of negative result required. My post has nothing at all to do with vaccination status.

    Ah interesting, thanks.

So a proctored test somewhere in the UK? There doesn't seem to be any guidance as to who to use; testing is on the way out in the UK so most of the places have shut down!!

Not True. Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy, Dam Health, and many others still testing and taking bookings through the end of the year. Several proctored tests being sold as well in the UK, you could order and take with you.

    Really useful to know, thanks.

Do they also accept the negative test results saved on an NHS app?  Assuming done 48 hours before etc..

NO, your test results have be from the test centre that does the test. You have to have a supervised test to board. Supervised/administered in person or proctored by video. You cannot do an NHS test at home and use the results to board.
