  1. If you connect to wifi and THEN put phone in airplane mode it will turn wifi off also...so make sure you go back in to turn wifi back on and connect to ship wifi
  2. Put phone in airplane mode then go back to settings and turn wifi on and connect to ship. You might have to make sure you have wifi calls turned on too in settings. You also have to imessage to text (both devices have to be apple...send and receive devices).
  3. Why annoying? I get the crowded...last cruise on Mariner we were in the overflow bar outside and next to the lounge but it wasn't too bad. Met some nice people
  4. Sounds like an awesome place! We are fairly new Diamond members so have not experienced a lot of boats yet at that level....but we will ?
  5. I would think the sea pass card on her should be sufficient since if they scan it her picture is associated with it (Under 21 has a different style card also). We just went on a cruise with our son who was 2 months turned 21 and he had no problems whatsoever.
  6. Hopefully you get to experience this same cenote! Enjoy!
  7. Some replies were posted in link above. I copied my reply and posted it here too... We did a turtle swim, cenote, and beach. Not sure if its the same cenote but this was the best excursion we have ever done! and we have done 2-3 dozen. it was very clean, water crystal clear, and fun. You don't really get to snorkel like you envision you would in the ocean. Its not real expansive. Some of them you can then "cliff" jump in to, which was fun. Not the one we went to in Cozumel though because you went down a hole to the cave. Heres some pictures of the one we went to.
  8. ...and people will be hitting it hard! People learn the hard way on day one that they need to pace after that ?
  9. Edit: didn't realize how old this OP was...ooppsss sorry We did a turtle swim, cenote, and beach. Not sure if its the same cenote but this was the best excursion we have ever done! and we have done 2-3 dozen. it was very clean, water crystal clear, and fun. 10. Bring snorkel gear and you can snorkel for free. Or rent some...great snorkeling there! They have wave jets you can rent and kids can be passengers. I have a video of the wave jets you can see to decide if you'd like it. Or you just hang out on the beach like any other and just relax!
  11. Some diamond/suite lounges don't have windows I think. I might have had my class wrong on which one does not. Someone can probably tell which ones don't have them. Just looked at liberty specifically and it DOES have windows!
  12. Agreed! love the personal feel of having the same waiters everynight! We will walk through the "mouth jammer" in the evening watching people grab hotdogs, burgers, pizza and can't believe people choose that over MDR food!
  13. No it is not better quality and taste! Think buffet ribs sitting there to be picked or going to a restaurant and getting ribs where they are served to you when they are cooked. If you go to MDR and say you need to hurry they will get you out in an hour or less. We do this when there's something we want to do and dinner gets in the way.
  14. They will get split up at the dolphin cove. We did this in 2015 at the Ocho Rios one with the falls climb. It was a 45 min drive FYI. This dolphin swim was fine but it was the least favorite of all the ones we have done at other ports FWIW. They had a lunch provided on our excursion that was outstanding...the jerk chicken was to die for!!!! We were not fans of Jamaica as the people are rude and pushy trying to sell all their crap!!!!!!! The pictures are VERY expensive but at other dolphins you can negotiate, so I assume you can at this one too.
  15. Very true! Signs posted to whatever time you need. That one couple that didn't pay attention to that and got captured on video standing on the pier yelling at the boat as it went away were evidence that you need to pay attention to boat time! ?
  16. FWIW, the Falmouth dolphins was our least favorite of all the dolphins we have done. It was at least a 45 min drive too. Its across the street from dunns river falls. The jerk chicken was outstanding that was provided!!!!!
  17. As mentioned several times, if something goes wrong on your excursion booked through Royal (and it will sometimes) they WILL get you back to the boat at their expense. This happened to a friend of mine. The boat left port so they took a boat to catch up to the cruise and they boarded like a tender would as the boat was moving. Worth the extra money to book with Royal in my opinion! Lots of excursions you book with 3rd parties use the exact same companies and you go with the masses to the same locations. Just like when you go on these booked through Royal you will have people from other ships and companies at port. Im sure there are some 3rd parties that are not though.
  18. Wow thats way better than our experience. They just left us in the area you wait to board......for hours...granted it was 2019 so 13 years difference.
  19. Agree, more intimate like sitting at a candle lit table in a fancy restaurant with dimmed lights. The atmosphere is pretty nice. Less hectic than MDR since theres less staff and guests.
  20. Maybe someone has a different experience but the ship has always used local time of the port you are at for us.
  21. We had that experience also but we didn't get on until much later. The boat came back "sick" so they had to sanitize the entire ship (which is another conversation in and of itself!). We sat in the port a LONG TIME!!! Pray you don't have this experience! But yes, generally you can start boarding by 1030-1100. Just remember your room won't be ready until 1pm.
  22. We tried specialty once. It was nice and fancy but for the extra money we didn't feel like it was all that much better than MDR. We really like the main dining room where the waiters get to know you and what you want and expect. By day 2 or 3 they know what to have when you sit down ready (drinks, etc). They also will pay attention to things you like extra of (breads, sides, etc), We feel more pampered in the main dining with the extra attention you get from building the personal relationship with the waiter and asst waiter. The food is usually really good too! We value the personal-ness a bit more than the better food (but again the MDR is very good). We would rather put the money in to shore excursions, escape rooms, other activities, etc and experience those since the MDR is usually VERY good and the experience for us isn't that much better in specialty dining. Just our thoughts and opinions...
  23. As noted in post and just to make clear....Junior suites don't qualify for most of these
