  1. HOWEVER ..... IF you are in a grand suite or above, your concierge will email you about 7 to 10 days before the cruise ....... you can reply to that email and tell them you have the unlimited dining plan and give them the nights and times you’d like to eat dinner at each restaurant and they will make the reservations for you. That’s the only way to get specialty restaurant reservations BEFORE the cruise with the unlimited dining plan.

  3. I hope at the very least they add the bedroom wall to the Grand Suite 1 bedrooms like they have on Harmony and Symphony. I hate how both sides have to share a tv on a wall between the 2 areas that’s only separated by a curtain on Oasis and Allure. Then you have to leave the curtain partially open and both side have to watch the one tv ..... fist pic is O and A ..... second pic is H and S setup for GS1 to show what I mean.
  4. Teddy, watch the video above your post and also read the link that KathyC posted just above that.
  5. We will be on her July 19-26 with a bunch of family ..... first cruise ever for all of them
  6. Here you go, this video answers all your questions:
  7. On the UDP, it says children 0-5yo eat for free, which I’m assuming is the same menu as the kid’s menu in the MDR since it’s free. For children 6-12yo who have to pay $10 each per meal ....... surely they don’t have to order off the same kid’s menu as what’s served for free in the MDR? Or do they have a $10 kid’s menu in the specialty restaurants that has the same exact food as the adult menu, but just smaller portions for the $10 each per meal?
  8. The biggest advantage with booking thru RCL, no matter the price difference, is that if something happens and the RCL excursion arrives back late, the ship will wait for the RCL excursion people ........ if something happens and your 3rd party excursion is late, the ship WILL leave without you.
  9. Ah ...... just noticed this is a post from January that got pulled back to the top........ explains why that the sign on my cruise changed since the pic above.
  10. When was that picture taken? We were just on Symphony in a suite for the 9/14-21/19 cruise and sat right next to that sign, except on our cruise, that sign said “Suites, Pinnacle Club, The Key”.

  13. Sorry, I don’t know why the print on that last post was so huge and can’t get it to go to normal size
  14. Ignore all the FAKE deluxe beverage package sales ....... if you want it, buy it any time you see it for between $45 and $59 day MAX before gratuity...... then keep looking and if you see it cheaper, cancel and repurchase at the cheaper price ...... I have 8 cruises booked and for many they want $65/day with their so called 30% off fake sale ..... Anything over $59 day is very hard to break even ..... especially if you’ll be in ports many days and won’t be on the ship to drink all day
  15. YES, the soda package and all drink packages work on CocoCay .... On BOTH the ship and on CocoCay, you only need the soda cup for the self serve machines ..... you can go to any bar on BOTH the ship and CocoCay with your SeaPass card or Wow Band and they’ll serve you soda when you have the soda package or any other package that includes soda. YES .... the birds will go insane for any food if you leave it laying around, just like the do on any beach with seagulls. YES ..... your 1, 2, and 3 strategy will work. You can go between the ship and CocoCay as much as you want. You can also enter and leave the water park as many times as you want, you just have to scan in AND out each time you come and go. VOOM internet also works on CocoCay
  16. I don’t know about glasses with or without straps, but I do know that they won’t let you wear goggles or even have them in your hand on the slides. They made my son take them back to our seats before he could ride.
  17. I just now noticed you have My Time Dining. Just make reservation times for each night in the cruise planner. You won’t be assigned a table with MTD. Then each night when you’re there for your reservation, ask to be seated with just yourselves. They usually do sit you on your own for MTD anyway.
  18. ‘You can call Royal now and ask for a 4 seat table for just the 3 of you. Then when you get on the ship and get your seas pass card, it will have your table number on it. Go right to the dining room and find your table. It will most likely be what you requested, but if not, go to the maitre d and ask for a table for just you guys. Just don’t wait, because many people will be asking to change tables and if you wait too long, it will be too late.
  19. ALSO, any still open seats in the Key/Suite Reserved area are released to anybody who wants them at about 10 min before the show starts
  20. Do you mean when Starbucks is in its own Kiosk? Or do you mean when Starbucks is in a regular ship owned shop that serves coffee? I’ve been to the stand alone Starbucks kiosks with my DBP and used the Starbucks app on my phone to pay because I’d always been told the separate Starbucks kiosks were not included in the DBP .......... If the separate Starbucks kiosks are included as well, then I’ve been paying there for nothing.
  21. Everything except Starbucks is included in the DBP. The only restriction is it technically only covers drinks up to $13 each. For instance, if you get a glass of wine that costs $16/glass, you’ll be charged $3.
  22. We LOVE Coastal Kitchen, including our 8yo son. It’s so much better than the MDR. I may have missed it, but I don’t think anybody mentioned that you need reservations for dinner in CK. About a week before your sail date, you’ll receive an email from your concierge to introduce themselves and see if you need anything. Reply to that email and ask them to make your nightly reservations for whatever different times you’d like to eat in the Coastal Kitchen each night and they’ll do it for you. I’ve never seen the CK available to make the reservations on your own in the cruise planner.
  23. My 8yo son and I are also booked on that sailing! Spouse has to stay home for this one.
  24. I just got the updated invoce from Michelle and the difference was actually $200 LESS than what I had bid to RoyalUp!!!!! Plus now I save $199 on the UDP I cancelled since we can eat at CK and saved $207 on the Voom Surf & Stream internet we get for free now!
