  1. Marti...I want to buy bring my own straws too....do you know if 8" or 10" stainless steel straws would work the best?
  2. Hi Friends I understand that I may be allowed to bring 2 bottle of wine for our 1 room? If this is the case, I may want to do this since I didn't buy the alcohol plan (wife is a non-drinker). Where should I store it when boarding the ship. Do I put in my suitcase? which I'm hesitant to do because if one breaks, my clothes are toast. Do I carry on in a carry-on bag of some sort when boarding? Thanks
  3. Ashley...great info...thanks again! I will check with Verizon too.
  4. Ashley....perfect thanks! So we don't plan on using any data on our iphones so I guess the best thing is just to keep all 3 phones in airplane mode and then we can just use the RC App for messaging each other (we will have to go into the app to see messages but that's fine) and maybe once in a while get some wifi spots when we port somewhere so we'd be able to do normal text I guess on the iphones...does all this sound about right? Thanks again!
  5. Thanks for the reply...I understand we will be on the ships free wifi (Harmony of the Sea) for texting/messaging purposes throughout the day by using the Royal Caribbean App, but my question is after my family download the RC App on their phone, which they have done...they need to register/log into the App...so do they log in under my master username/password or do they register themselves and then after we board the ship link up with each other somehow on the app?
  6. For the Royal Caribbean app that i am using on my phone...in order for me to message my family members, do they also need to get the app on their phones and log in with my name/password or do they create their own account and we sync them in when we get on the ship? Thanks
  7. Speed...thank you very much for the info and prompt replies...looking forward to our first cruise!
  8. SpeedNoodles...that's good to know but i dont think i'd get my moneys worth if i got the DBP myself...i'm fine with 1-2 alcoholic drinks per day....is it true that if i buy the Refreshment Package that it's cheaper to buy now (5 days out) than later or on the ship? Say i even buy the Refreshment Package for all 3 of us for $26 each (so $78 per day...so 6 days is $546)...is there a one-time gratuity of 18% on top of the $546 so another $98 too?
  9. Ok...got it...so facial recog is only when we come back for final disembarkation thanks for clarifying the soda package.....my wife and i weren't going to get any drink package (she's a non-drinker), so cant buy the alcohol one without buying 2 which im not doing! So maybe we'll get the refreshment package for $26 per day each person...yikes that adds up fast but seems to have some good options rather than no package at all....i can still buy my 1-2 drinks per day.
  10. SpeedNoodles...good stuff! So basically we wont need to take our passports off the ship for any of the disembarkments...correct? Just hope we can get back in the door! While i have your attention...im going with my wife and son...can i just buy my son the classic soda package now for $8.99 per day, or would i have to buy for all three of us? Thanks again.
  11. Hello Friends Im cruising this Sunday. I just got an email from RC that said "Guest who sail with passport can take advantage of our facial recognition." What is this and how do I do this? I can't find any info on this. Thanks
