Another benefit i found is I can book a flight and lock it in without having to pay for it until the final payment date.
This allows me to price shop and at least have a low fare locked it. I found it easier to search the flights first the call Air2Sea to see if they are available.
They don't offer all flights but they're very helpful in finding out for you. I think the only offer refundable flights. My flight from Boston to Vancouver has gone up $400 in the last two weeks and that's for a June sailing.

Another advantage to booking thru RC Air2Sea is they get you to the ship...if the flight was cancelled or changed they make arrangements to get you to the ship. This is especially handy if the cruise ship is late getting back into port and you are going to miss your flight home. They will rebook you before you even know there was a problem.

You can also call them to book a cruise and ask for a deal. I sometimes check the RC website for a specific cruise and make a note of the price, then call the Casino and they usually match the price plus offer a Casino 10% discount. I do this when I am going to book something anyways...

All of my recent casino bookings also allowed me to stack several different discounts in addition to the casino discount.  This hasn’t always been the case.

When I have played in the past with promo chips and won a hand they don't touch the promo chips only put down my winnings next to them. They only touch your promo chips when you lose. I then take the real chips and put them away and keep playing with the promo chips until they are all gone.

I wouldn't do it....I would book another cruise with the $1000 in another interior cabin. Prices are good now...very easy to find a 7 day cruise for under $1000.

Not sure the ships test will work with the new 2 day requirement. If they tested you on Friday you would be OK but they will test you on Thursday...so you will not qualify unless they have a special exemption for B2B. (Maybe you will be able to get a test that morning before you disembark...but I would doubt it....)
We leave the Oasis on Dec 12th and fly to LA to board the Navigator on the 13th...but because our first cruise on the Navigator is only 3 days I think they don't require a Covid test to board....I think we will ask to a test on Oasis just in case.

I would double check the testing requirements, I think everyone needs to be tested regardless of cruise length.

This is not the case, even if you pay off your cruise if there is a price drop and you claim it and it's before final payment you will receive it as a credit on your CC (the one you used to pay for your cruise) The RC agent has no control over this, the system will either process a refund or OBC depending on final payment date.

I only do 2 bookings at once now. In the past I did one with 3 but they only did 2 of them so had to resubmit the forgotten/missed booking.

Agreed. I paid off my cruise two weeks early and then the price dropped before the final payment due date. When I re-booked it, the difference came back as a refund to my credit card.

We will be onboard for 3 weeks starting late Nov. but I was hoping that numbers were going to be below 3000....oh well.
I guess its a good sign that things are getting back to normal.

I just wanted to recommend anyone applying for the Shareholder OBC to do it via the PDF form and not the new electronic system. I just sent in 3 PDF's on a Saturday before noon and have already herd back on each request and the OBC has been applied and visible on my cruise planner.  I did a Google search for the PDF form and was able to download it.
I requested one last week via the electronic system and still nothing....

We really enjoyed Christmas and NYE on a cruise ship in the past. They are so much fun and the menus on both big nights are upgraded in the MDR.
This year we will be on Navigator out of LA for both so we are very exited to finally be able to sail on RC out of California again.

Rob&Ana got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Anyone else encountered bar drinks that are suspiciously weak tasting?
I found the same thing. I drink Gin & Tonic or Vodka Soda and at first felt they were weak. I normally just order Vodka or Gin...on our last cruises in September we were ordering Grey Goose and Bombay and in both cases they are much smoother than the well swill. I was getting just as drunk as before but no hangover in the morning.(this was a nice change) So I think it's just that the better quality of the alcohol made it less apparent in the drink.
Not 100% sure but I liked it!
