  1. Yes this is a perfect idea! What might I call it, would simply "Classic Lounge" suffice? Is that their actual name? And also would it make most sense to put it under "bars"? Thanks in advance!
  2. Here is a list of all Royal Caribbean ships and their technical information, as per request from @TJ! Click Here Hope you all enjoy, and yet again if there are any mistakes please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will make sure they get amended! Thanks and enjoy!!!
  3. No it’s not, it’s in order of classes as per release date. I do however have another spreadsheet listing the ships and their sizes (length, beam, capacity) if you would like to see it?
  4. Yesterday I posted the following post in “Royal Caribbean News and Rumours” and it received a good reaction, but I thought I’d put it here as well because everyone can benefit off this. Judging by numbers, this forum is much more popular than that one, and even if you aren’t interested in Royal Caribbean news, this may help you in choosing the next ship you want to cruise on. I often see posts in here asking about which ships have which venues so here is the answer to those questions! Any questions feel free to ask but I hope that this is able to help you out or answer some question you may have about activities on Royal Caribbean ships. ? —————————————————— So, a while ago, while roaming the internet, I stumbled across this awesome list of which activities were on which ships throughout the Royal Caribbean fleet. It was perfect! Maybe I lost it, maybe it was taken down, but I couldn't find it any longer. So I set out to make my own. After going through every deck of every Royal Caribbean ship's deck plans, I noted everything I could find onboard. Bars, dining, entertainment, I listed it all. Here is the result: View in full screen I find it incredibly useful and I thought that I'd put it here because you all might like to use it too. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. Disclaimers: This is my own creation and all information used is from https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/deck-plans (unless otherwise referenced) Therefore, there may be certain inaccuracies because of either certain things missing on the deck plans, or me missing something out If this is the case, please feel free to let me know and I will update it to reflect these. As said, I have not been on all these ships so do not have first hand experience for all these venues and activities, so please do let me know of any errors I may have made. It is quite large so it may take a moment to load, and you will need to zoom out. I intend to update it as new ships debut, or as ships get refurbished/amplified so it is hopefully always an up to date reference point. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy!
  5. Oh awesome thanks. These were a real pain to group together so that’s a great idea. I had the same problem at first with all of the individual ___ and ___ pubs and so i just called them the “and” pubs. I’m not sure if they have an actual name to go by?

  7. Simply an excuse to book another cruise on another ship!
  8. I do think that there's a fine line between doing a cruise to go on a ship vs doing a cruise to sail an itinerary. I don't know the exacts about where your previous cruises have gone, but if you have done, say, three western Caribbean cruises then you might as well wait until a different itinerary comes around before choosing a western Caribbean cruise on Empress. The exception of course is always Oasis Class. Then again, a second cruise is always better than no cruise, so if the opportunity presents itself, why not!
  9. Even a Voyager Class, Freedom Class, or Quantum Class would be an awesome step up from Empress. Each has just a little bit more to do than the previous. A "Royal Amplified" ship would be a perfect next cruise: http://www.royalcaribbeanincentives.com/content/uploads/2018-2019-Fleet_Guide.pdf
  10. For any of the caregivers that don't have an apple device, it may pay to ask them in advance what they would prefer to use. WhatsApp is a good option, as you only need a phone number to use it, and it still uses wifi to function, meaning no pesky roaming fees. Also means that there's no need to worry about adding usernames or becoming "friends" as if you already have their mobile phone number, it will all sync well.
  11. Unlikely it's a decoy... It could maybe even be Odyssey of the Seas, but was entered before the naming? Seems unlikely but there doesn't seem to be an obvious option for this mystery ship.
  12. For sure! I've even seen short-sleeve button downs in more tropical and summer-y itineraries.
  13. Allure of the Seas, based solely off the extent of his activity
  14. Welcome Sam! There is some really insightful information here: https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2553509-monaco-grand-prix-2019/ Sounds like it would be awesome fun.
  15. Not sure if the price varies by ship, but the following was taken from the Cruise Planner for my January 2020 Quantum of the Seas sailing. --------------------------------------- Individualised Personal Training Vitality Spa & Fitness Centre 60 Minutes $77.00 USD Stop training and dieting without knowing what works best for your body! 16. Place your bets! Is it an Oasis #5 or an Icon class? The largest ship to dock in the Sydney Cruise Port to date has been the Queen Mary II, which has rocketed the port into expansion, so Oasis Class is not completely out of the question!
  17. That is correct! It is simply too difficult to arrange the disembarkation of over 6000 people on tender boats. And additionally, as a Napier local, I'd say it is very unlikely that our port is capable of an Oasis class ship. To date, Ovation has been the biggest to dock and it was basically the maximum. In saying this, Napier Port has just invested in a large scheme to expand so as @twangster said, give it a few years and anything is possible! Here's hoping that Icon Class ships can find their way to this corner of the world!
  18. It should be 90 days out from your cruise. The cruise itself appears on the app when there are only 15 cruises before yours but the actual details are loaded 90 days prior.
  19. I think it’s a shame that NCL got the rights to Six The Musical, as it’s a bit shorter than the average, smaller cast, good music, and a really fun storyline. You win some you lose some I guess
  20. If you’ve been following the events of the past few days, you’ve probably seen the huge relief efforts being made by Royal Caribbean to provide aide in The Bahamas. Something that may have gone unnoticed, however, is the interesting signage attached to the crates of supplies leaving Florida ports. The signs say “Relief Supplies” accompanied by the six logos of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. cruise lines. Except not quite. The fifth logo seen on this signage is that of “SkySea Cruise Line”, which was 35% owned by RCCL between the years of 2016 and 2018. In March 2018, they announced that the final sailing for this brand will be in August 2018, and the brand has subsequently been “closed”. Therefore, why would it be on this signage? My best guess is that this is an old template from the last hurricane relief efforts by RCCL, from at least one year ago, and it was not edited or reviewed. In fact, it is almost definitely from before July 2018, the month in which RCCL bought a 67% share in Silversea Cruises, who are not mentioned on this sign. It’s not a huge deal, simply overlooked, but it is interesting to see that it was missed, even with such a simple fix of replacing SkySea Cruise Line with Silversea Cruises. Let me know what you think of this slight mistake in their signage. Also, I’d just like to say how incredible and prompt their generous response to this disaster has been. A huge well done to Royal Caribbean and all those raising funds to go towards these relief efforts!
  21. Yeah, for sure. In fact, the reason I was asking this is because I have been making a full list of ship features, (which i eventually plan to publish online) which is a spreadsheet of every bar/dining/entertainment/etc... venue on each royal caribbean ship, so over the past few days i have been through every ship’s deck plans and recorded every feature of them. There used to be one, I couldn’t find it, so i made my own!!
