This pass September we flew into FLL and took a lyft to Port of Miami. We took the first flight out of Michigan and landed in FLL at 9:40am and got to the Port at 10:34am. Everything went smoothly but I was on edge the whole time worrying about what to do if we hit a delay. With me and wife high demand jobs it's not always easy to get extra days off. If you can fly a day early, then do it. If you can't, take the very first Direct flight to FLL. Traffic can get really heavy going to Miami.

Nervous about cruising in September
Royal Cruiser replied to Lovelysmile29's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I cruised last September. It was a week after Hurricane Dorian. The weather was perfect throughout the cruise. Perfect day at cococay was perfect. I mean it's a risk. If my cruise was a week earlier I would of had to deal with the hurricane. If you get travel insurance you will have nothing to worry about. Even during Hurricane season you will have a great time. These ships can out run a hurricane. Your itinerary might change depending on location of the hurricane but you would still have a great time. -
CoCo Cay Pricing Getting Ridiculous
Royal Cruiser replied to WannaCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Right now Independence is 89 per person for May 2020 Oasis is also showing 89 per person for December 2020 Which I feel is still high because I paid 50 per person back in September 2019 I love the water park but the Oasis Lagoon is fun also..... and free. -
Navigator was my first cruise back in September 2019 and I have been hooked since. I look for a deal once a day and already have future cruises booked. Wife thinks I'm crazy but I know she enjoys in as well.

Expedited arrival for some guests
Royal Cruiser replied to ultimatefans's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You should be fine. Miami Port let me and my wife use the EA line even though my set sail pass did not say it. I had all the information entered but only hers said Expedited. -

I can definitely tell you are excited. Sound like me when I was coming up on my first cruise. Shopping tips: Disposable Clothes hamper (dollar Store) Motion sickness wristband (Just in case, I did not need mine) Plastic Luggage Tags. https://www.amazon.com/Royal-Caribbean-Cruise-Luggage-Holders/dp/B074TRRXCS/ref=sr_1_4?crid=34M0ZOUDWX4L&keywords=royal+carribean+cruise+luggage+tags+2019&qid=1574712398&sprefix=royal+carr%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-4 Lanyards. https://www.amazon.com/Lanyard-Polyester-Retractable-Vertical-Offices/dp/B07HQ5Q843/ref=sr_1_4?crid=37K0G5MP1EXRB&keywords=lanyard+royal+caribbean&qid=1574712442&sprefix=lanyards+royal%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-4 Cruise Tips Before Sail: Check out the Cruise Planner to see if there is anything you want to your cruise experience. It's always cheaper to do them pre-boarding. Airports: Make sure you have all your travel documents Show up at least 2 hours before boarding. You are coming from California. I hope you are flying into Florida a day before the cruise. That's all I can think of but I am sure everyone else will have more tips for you. Enjoy your cruise! -

I was there in September. Me and the wife had a Full Day pass. We enter the Park early and got on all the slides before lines started to form. Went to the Chill Side for awhile. Went back to park to enjoy the slides again. You can leave and come back as many times as you want. Full Day is definitely worth it. Makes it feel like the whole island is accessible at all times.

Ill keep this short. I just sailed my first cruise ever back in September on the Navigator. I must say I had a blast and was by far the best vacation I have ever taken. My wife also had a fabulous time. Perfect Day at Cococay was Perfect. Nothing to complain about. I say all this to say Thank you for this blog site. The message board and videos has helped us so much. I already booked another cruise and in the process of booking two other. I'm a Royal Caribbean customer for life. Thank you everyone!

All Great Tips!!! I'm taking notes. Leaving in 11 days. Pop up hampers is a really awesome idea.

Do they enforce 300lbs weight limit for the water slides? Where are the scales located? I’m 300 on the nose as i’m a power lifter so I have a decent amount of muscle and fat on me. If they go off entirely what the scale says then I need to start cutting as I’m 46 days away from the cruise. Thanks in advance!
