  1. Please add Independence March 18th, 2022 While I'm here: my May 9th, 2022 is now on Freedom, not Indy
  2. My family doesn't enjoy hearing me drone on about cruising for months on end so I hang out here with like minded cruisers to get me thru the in between time. As my next trip nears I join the Facebook group for that sailing (if there is one) and also check in on the ships Facebook page to share in my excitement and check for ship specific tips. Other than planning and waiting for the next step (check in time! Luggage tags are ready! Bid on Royal Up! Etc) it's just an agonizing wait. My husband doesnt have the vacation time that I do, so I've recently started cruising with a friend for shorter sailings and it's great that she's wanting to talk cruising just as much as me. I agree, it's like waiting for Christmas
  3. The joy in all of your faces is delightful.
  4. Is this public information anywhere? Not important, just curious where he's from.
  5. Well be at Cococay Sunday, it's going to be chilly! When we went in January 2020 (Mariner) we weren't able to dock at all due to wind so I'll be happy to step foot on the island and bundle up in a cabana for the day. Going back in May and expecting warmer weather then. Nothings getting us down for our getaway! I hope everyone else sailing in winter has better weather luck
  6. I think the cruise planner closes 48 hours before you sail.
  7. For some reason I thought the pool in the Beach Club was heated. Good to know it's not, although most of the year it won't deter me.
  8. Does anyone happen to know if the bed in a 1 BR GS on Freedom split into 2 beds? I saw a video and if the bedside tables are fixed it doesn't appear to have room to separate
  9. I understand you're only charged for the 1st two people in the room for the Royal Up
  10. Crossing fingers for all those waiting! I'm on pins and needles myself, many on our sailing have received their RU confirmations. My offers are all pending and editable. If it's a strategy it's working because I increased all my offers I enjoy the anticipation but will really be happy to be in the JS we booked. But I'm hoping!
  11. I've ordered twice in the last 30 days (sorry for posting in wrong thread) Both times from Optum Ordered 12/15/21 Delivered 12/16/21 Expiration 11/8/21 (+3months) my cruise is 1/28 so this works by about 2 weeks Ordered 1/5/22 Delivered 1/12/22 Expiration 11/6/22
  12. I've order twice in the last 30 days Both times from Optum Ordered 12/15/21 Delivered 12/16/21 Expiration 11/8/21 my cruise is 1/28 so this works by about 2 weeks Ordered 1/5/22 Delivered 1/12/22 Expiration 11/6/22
  13. We were able to cruise in our first full suite in November by applying FCC to an existing reservation. Without the FCC we'd probably not sail in a suite ever
  14. I canceled bidding on 2 BATS because this suite just looks amazing! I hope you enjoy the suite!!
  15. Do we know if we are we allowed off the ship in Antigua without an RC excursion? Sailing the 21st, and am finding conflicting info. My MEI TA is OOO this week but I figured someone here may know?
  16. Has anyone here been to Antigua since the restart? I'm thinking of canceling our ship excursion to the dock yard and DIY instead. Would love to leave the ship early, catch a cab to a beach for a bit and then hit the dock yard after for a self guided tour. I think I'd regret not going to a beach on this island but want to hit the dock yard too since I think DH will enjoy it. Are the taxis running in Antigua since restart or lately, do we know? Sailing Nov 21, 2021. Does this sound like a reasonable plan? I read Matt's review of his fav beach and how they navigated a visit here but believe that was 'before' times. TIA
  17. I have a low offer in on a 2 bedroom ATS. I don't expect to actually win the bid, but am still trying to determine if we really want a 2BATS over a crown Loft. I'd Ike the crown loft with Star amenities
  18. Best I can recall I got an email that I responded to via phone. I distinctly remember having the ability to easily correct the situation but the exact details are fuzzy. Sorry for the missing details (or brain cells) I just know they made it easy to resolve.
  19. I have to share my experience from July 2019 that's similar to@SpeedNoodles . I placed a Royal up bid and was notified we won but the card was declined. I was able to immediately resolve it and provide a new card to secure the bid we'd won. I don't remember all the details but I know that I was immediately able to resolve it with the information provided to me from Royal or the the Royalup folks. Congrats to all who won and happy cruising!
