  1. I would bring them if my husband drank wine just for the convenience of having a pre-dinner option in the cabin.
  2. OK so the ship will allow a guest off and on with BC, ID and cruise card; and also Nassau port people will allow that as well? Thanks for the info!
  3. I am not sure if it's worse board etiquette to comment on an old thread or start a new thread that's surely been hammered out over and over, sorry! For a 'closed loop' cruise leaving and returning to the US (Florida) I understand a certified BC will work to travel (I also understand Passport is best) but in the event an adult can only travel with a BC and ID can they still get off in a Caribbean port? In this case Nassau.
  4. January 3, 2020 Mariner oTS my first YOLO booking!
  5. we had GTY Balcony on Navigator last month and ended up with a corner aft balcony (6688 on the opposite corner I think) and could not have been happier! We were on deck 6 which is less sought after and were still so happy with our cabin. Happy Sailing!
  6. thank you for this blog! You're spectacular at sharing your experience.
  7. I wish I knew I could get coffee delivered to the room each morning at no charge, didn't do my research on that one.
  8. We're not the call and complain kind of people, I felt bad even complaining here. We imagined all kinds of scenarios that could be happening in this guys world to make him off his a game. Can't wait to try Labadee!
  9. I was really surprised this was our almost exact cabana attendant experience also. I'm sure it was a one off and not the norm though! We loved Cococay none the less! Edit to add: the people next to us had really great service (different attendant) so again I think it's a rarity & we were just the unlucky ones ? (I don't usually complain ?)
  10. I am in planning stages of our stop at Labadee; we loved the cabana at CocoCay and are torn between getting a cabana at Labadee or taking a boat trip to a quiet island for a couple hours (Amiga Island or Paradise Cove). I love the idea of spending a couple hours at a non crowded beach but am also a fan of drink service and shade that the cabana offers. Can't decide! ENJOY that floating cabana and please post pics ?
  11. I think what's sticking in my craw is that the TA said I will not find a better price, and his invoice is broken down a little different than the Royal invoice he also gave me so it's just not sitting right in my head. I'm sure it's fine, thanks for the advice, now I'm off to watch drink package prices and over think excursions ?
  12. I booked thru a TA (same one as my first cruise, it rolled over to the same guy since I booked on board) with his 'group pricing' 14 months in advance. I thought there would opportunities to get a better price but I am thinking that may not happen and I don't need to watch the sales obsessively? When I asked him about it he said unless there's a major world economy event the price will not go down from what I paid but just want to get a 2nd opinion on that. I am happy with the price I paid, but of course wouldn't mind saving on a sale but won't continue to mock book all the time if this makes sense. From what I gather: it's possible I got the best price that I will see? Thanks for letting my random questions slide in on occasion ?
  13. Start rolling around some ideas for the next one! I do all the above too, DH doesn't enjoy the lead up like I do ?
  14. As of today I see both in my planner as well and have been unable to find any real difference between the two, @2cmu92 did you do either of these to share your experience?
  15. Mine went from $37.99 yesterday to $29 today for our sailing on Allure November 2020; hoping it gets to $25 (wow $19.99!!) to purchase; mine planner also says ONLINE ONLY
  16. Like Pima1988, we got and loved the Chill Island cabana for my husband and I. We were looking for a nice quiet beach day and got it. If we had kids with us we probably would have done the water park Cabana but for the 2 of us it was perfect. Really it would have been perfect with out teens too! I think you'll have a great time whichever you choose. ENJOY! Edited to add: I agree there are plenty of free chairs and umbrellas to make a perfect beach day but if you have the budget for a cabana you won't regret it.
  17. @deep1 Did you have a tubing experience since this post? I am trying to decide which tubing excursion would be best and like you am hoping to hear about someone's experience with one.
  18. Was on Navigator this past weekend, also read the 'these mattresses suck' postings on social media and got a little concerned for my husband after reading that. The mattress we were on was fine, I had no complaints, and I agree ones frame of mind going in dictates having a great cruise or not. LOVED Navigator! Enjoy! Try obsessing about the good stuff, it worked for my over thinking mind ?
  19. I booked my next cruise for November 2020 on Allure, I will be thrilled to be on any ship but see some similar sailings on Harmony in November (Similar as in 7 days out of Florida). I am not familiar enough with itineraries to have that be my deciding factor (although would prefer Coco Cay over Labadee) so I am wondering opinions on the 2 ships if YOU were choosing. Too broad a question, I know, and I've searched the boards for some info as well as looking at deck plans so in an effort to make a decision I am wondering about the Solarium. Did I see there's not a Solarium pool on Harmony but there is one on Allure? Both deck plans looked the same to me and I didn't see a solarium pool on either so in an effort to just make a decision and sit with it I thought I'd ask here. We love beach days but since this is a 7 day we want to take advantage of some more activities this time around, tubing down a river sounds awesome and we found that in Falmouth (lots of help from the boards here) If anyone has any helpful deciding factors you'd take into consideration I would appreciate it. I have listened to Matt's podcast on how to choose the next cruise; we have no kids with us, can be as active or relaxed as we feel like being to go with the flow, can go with or without shows and i think these 2 ships are similar enough those things aren't relevant here. Itin is Cococay, Cozumel, Roatan and Costa Maya or Labadee, Falmouth, Cozumel
