Thanks for this!. I’ve been wondering who would replace Allure, since her last cruise listed in Oct 2023 is only a 6-day Assumed she may be repositioning after that short trip. Exciting to be able sail on both from Galveston within 2 years. it’s strange to think we don’t even have Allure yet, and we are discussing her potential replacement.

Suggest you find a way for your little one to have the bracelet with child’s muster station somewhere on him (pinned to shirt, etc). On last multi-generational cruise, while heading to muster station in the crowd, one of the grandchildren got cut off from the group by other family groups pushing ahead of him. One of Royal’s employees stationed at a stair landing noticed him looking around, and used the info on the muster bracelet to take him there to join his mom. Muster process is now different, but separation could happen at any time. Best to have a means to reunite with your little one.

I admit that I did not read this thread from the beginning. I picked up with yesterday’s posts about opting in to Highly Vaccinated (95% +). At the time, I was happy to read masks not required for vaccinated! Then the happiness subsided when I saw all youth (vaccinated or not) would still be required to wear masks in Adventure Ocean. After some thought, I realize this is not the news I expected from CDC and the cruise lines. I honestly felt there would be a point this year (2022) where all protocols were listed as optional - including vaccines. My family is vaccinated, but this does effect others who may not be. @Matt, I am trying to keep to the “No arguments of masks or vaccine rule” with my statement above. I truly felt most protocols would end soon. With the new CDC opt-in categories, I see that is not going to happen. Guess I did not have realistic expectations ?

Not much of a vacation for the kiddos if they have to wear the masks the whole time in Adventure Ocean. I was surprised to see in the message you posted from Mr. Bayley that this “highly vaccinated” status takes effect in 1 week - sailings from next Friday. Right before Spring Break cruises.

That’s good to see the children under vaccination age are excluded from 95%. But, it’s sad to see that all adventure ocean youth still need to mask in those facilities. Poor kids.

Thinking that the difference b/t this outdoor crowding and those at football game, is the effect it could have over a week’s time on the assigned waitstaff, stateroom attendant, bar staff, etc. on this cruise. A crowd at a football game doesn’t Interact every day for a week with a team’s football players, coaching staff, training staff. (But I can’t say the same for a theme park as some families may stay in hotels there for a week! ). Hoping Oasis’ crew stays CoVid free , for their health, and for those of you cruising on her soon!

Hmm. For the last week I’ve had an error using the above process. After 4, 2, 1 it asks what do you need and I respond “confirmation”, and it asks what my travel agency number is. I cannot get past it, even though had I chosen prompts for “booked online”. It won’t let me get to the point that I enter my reservation numbers.

Agree, does not seem like enough parking for 2 ships. I drive in via the ferry, and would hate to have to pass up Royal terminal parking because the lot was already full. If they let us book and reserve a parking space online for that lot, it would make a difference.

I read on a HAL thread on CC by a young guy (30s) who currently is quarantining on a Panama canal cruise. HAL representatives told him they follow the CDC guideline that 5 days is not applicable for a residential-congregate setting, so HAL’s cruise ships require 10 day quarantines according to the passenger quarantining on HAL right now. After reading the thread, i thought it odd that the cruise lines are not in agreement on their quarantine length approach. 10 days seems excessive. I like Royal’s approach.

Good news on Optum Store expiration: I ordered a 2-pack from Optum store directly. Shipped Friday the 7th, arrived Monday 10th afternoon. Production date December 2021. Expiration Nov 20, 2022. Perfect for my needs.

Hi! rethinking my cruise from Barbados. We have air and airport transfers booked for the first time using Air2Sea - do I need to call them and cancel those arrangements, before I call Royal to cancel the cruise? Thanks so much for the help and advice.

@rjweber3, where did you find the correct PCR test that Barbados requires for entry (not a nasal swab?). Either throat swab or the invasive Sinus scraping PCR test? Have not found testing locations around me that do the original PCR testing. Trying to find The 2 allowed types listed in the Barbados website. Thanks for any help.
