  1. We sailed to Key West and the Bahamas several years ago, only it was on a big Carnival ship (the Magic, I believe) and we sailed from either New Orleans or Galveston. I enjoyed the change-of-pace from Cozumel, Roatan, and Belize, and since then, I have been rather hoping to set sail to visit Key West again, without having to fly to Florida. We will also get to see Coco Cay - I doubt that we will pay extra for the water park (we are 2 ole fogies, lol) but it will be fun to explore the island, having never been there before. So, yesterday I booked a cabin for myself and hubby on the Majesty of the Seas.Technically not a new ship, but definitely new to us, and we have enjoyed cruises on smaller, older ships. We are set to sail from New Orleans in December 2020.
  2. We have that link bookmarked, but have yet to see anything but this message: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED DOES NOT MATCH ANY OF OUR CURRENTLY LOADED OFFERS. PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY TO REVIEW WITH A CASINO REPRESENATIVE AT OUR TOLL FREE # 1 888 561 2234 OR VIA EMAIL AT [email protected]. The website link is: https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/ Dh called Casino Royale (again) on Monday to see why he never has received any offers...they said that the only offer to appear was the code for the free inside cabin ( certificate earned at 2400 points on our cruise.) We used that certificate the day after returning from the first cruise to book a second cruise, lol, so it’s gone. The delay in receiving offers may be because the first cruise was not quite 2 months ago (perhaps there is a backlog of new Prime members to be added to the system?) Then again, I have been reading on this blog, on Cruise Critic, and in the Facebook group for Casino Royale patrons, that many people, even longtime casino club members, have yet to receive email or snail mail offers. Not encouraging...
  3. I am not sure myself, because we have only been on one Royal cruise so far. I was just reading some of the “ fine print “ in Royal’s Crown & Anchor web pages and “primary member” was mentioned.
  4. Hi- How does one figure out who is the “primary” person in a household? Does it take a phone call to Royal to find out or is there a way to tell by looking at your online account? Dh and I both have C& A numbers and each receive the standard Royal emails concerning cruise sales and discounts. Dh also made Prime status in the Casino Royale program on our one cruise with Royal but has not received any emailed or snail mail casino offers yet. Thanks for any advice!
  5. I can really only answer your last question, because dh and I have only been on one Royal cruise ( so far. ) In the Windjammer ( where we ate many breakfast and lunch meals ) I recall: hot tea ( bags) coffee iced water iced tea ( tasted like raspberry tea to me, we both really enjoyed it ) one other choice of punch ( never tried it, and flavors seemed to vary ) milk ( in small cartons, both white and chocolate ) orange and maybe other juices at breakfast I believe that iced tea and coffee were also free in the main dining room. Orange juice was also free there at breakfast. Our ship (Liberty OTS) had a Cafe Promenade on the 5th deck - I would often go there for my free hot tea fix. I know that they also offered free coffee and there were packets of hot chocolate available, too. That’s all I recall. We had pre-purchased soda packages beforehand, and we used them. On our next cruise, dh, due to being a Prime member in their Casino Royale casino rewards program, will be able to get free drinks at the casino bar. I will likely forego the soda package because I really prefer Diet Pepsi and found out that we can bring up to 12 bottles or cans ( up to 17 oz.) with us on the ship. So, I think we will be okay, as long as Royal keeps providing its tasty iced and hot tea!
  6. You are welcome! I think that dh and I are kind of addicted to that FB group, lol!
  7. Yes, you do qualify for the free Prime cruise. You won’t get the code you will need until sometime next April, according to the Casino Royale rep who sent dh and I a nice email explaining what dh would receive, and when. There is another set of messages going on right now that is closely related to this one: Scroll down a bit and you will see one lady who posted some helpful information regarding the casino club program. I also have a post in which I mentioned an active Facebook group.
  8. I am no expert (not even a gambler) but the casino host on the Liberty provided dh with a brochure ( that included the chart as seen in the previous post ) when he was getting close to the 2400 point mark. Btw, dh also received a certificate good for $300 off a cruise, but it’s now invalid because we booked the free cruise instead (as per Casino Royale, you can’t use both certificates.) I believe that you can even apply points towards your folio - that might be a good option if you didn’t earn enough points for the free cruise certificate or don’t want to use a “discount “ certificate. An active Facebook group for Casino Royale patrons is available— dh and I have learned and read quite a bit of information regarding the casino club over there. You just request to join. My experience so far, with both this message board, and that FB group, is that people are usually willing to answer your questions. They love to talk casinos and cruising! ?
  9. He played table games, including Roulette. I am not sure what other games, but it took several hours over the course of the cruise, and he spent quite some time at the casino on the very last day and night of the cruise. The purpose of doing so was because the host had just told him that he was close to earning the 2400-point free cruise certificate, and then dh figured that he might as well try to reach Prime status (2500 points.) Meanwhile, I spent my time relaxing on a deck somewhere or just sleeping in the cabin. He told me that he doesn’t like tournaments, so I know he didn’t play in any of those in order to earn points.
  10. Dh has called them twice in the last week, and they have no answer as to why he doesn’t receive email or snail ? mail offers. At least we have 1 cruise booked ( from certificate) and another one that is supposed to be available to book next April. That is one more than Carnival offered us; NCL didn’t even offer dh free drinks in the casino.
  11. We have been trying his last name and C& A number there quite often , but all we have seen is this message: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED DOES NOT MATCH ANY OF OUR CURRENTLY LOADED OFFERS. PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY TO REVIEW WITH A CASINO REPRESENATIVE AT OUR TOLL FREE...
  12. I actually do not gamble, but dh recently earned Prime status on our first ( and only) Royal cruise. I had booked the cruise through a travel agency and only my email address was involved before and during the cruise, even while directly dealing with Royal Caribbean. My husband didn’t provide his email address to Royal (Casino Royale, actually) until he called to book the free cruise he earned (with certificate) at the ship’s casino. So of course, I don’t expect any email or snail offers, but I am wondering that because I used my email address throughout the cruise, that somehow doing so prevents dh from receiving those elusive email offers.Maybe I should just use his email address in my account settings, but then that might mess up any Crown & Anchor perks that I might eventually earn. Who knows?!?
  13. Once I saw that other “Pre-Golders” had very few posts, I realized that scenario was probably why I am Pre-Gold as well. Live and learn?
  14. Yes, I am not sure what “Pre-Gold” in my byline means in these message boards. Anybody know if it’s actually related to our Crown & Anchor status? Or maybe it’s that I have only made 2 posts so far ( but I am great at lurking, lol...)
  15. My husband and I went on our first cruise with Royal a little over a month ago. I think that I was able to obtain a Crown & Anchor number for myself online very soon after booking the cruise with the travel agent. I didn’t think about my husband not having his own C&A number until right before we boarded the ship. So, as soon as we boarded, we went to Guest Services, who told us to see the Loyalty Ambassador as soon as possible ( her office opened right after the muster drill finished.) In any case, it was a good thing that dh received his own Crown & Anchor number - he likes to gamble in the ship’s casino, and the casino club rewards system requires that each player have a C&A number. I very rarely gamble, but I wouldn’t want to be without a number myself. Btw, we are Gold members, of course, but I will be darned if I can figure out how to change that “Pre-Gold” status that’s in my byline. I have already tried a few times, but no luck, lol!
  16. Actually, we went on our first Royal cruise almost a month ago, so as far as Crown & Anchor status goes, my husband and I are now Gold, lol.
