CrimsonCruiser got a reaction from CanHardlyWait in Royals Transportation
We used Royal's shuttle bus on the cruise before last and booked it onboard. In fact, it was regularly an option in the cruise planner starting about midway through the cruise. It told people to go to guest services to book. For Ft. Lauderdale it was $20 per person. They use shuttle buses. And they assign you a departure time based on your flight (before noon or after).
We didn't use it on our last cruise because the option through our pre-cruise hotel was $5 cheaper per person and could book it in advance so we didn't have to worry about anything being filled up.

Might be worth getting the earliest boarding time, completing your muster drill and then getting off the ship to see the city. That way you get rid of your bags and have the day to explore.

The shower curtain hung perfectly! I had a full size curtain folded in half, 3 magnets through the hoops on top and screwed off the hooks on 2 more to secure the bottom. Never had any water on the bathroom floor! I will do this every time I have a Jr Suite from now on!

I'm not counting on stopping at Labadee on our 5 day cruise on Indy starting April 22nd.  If they replace Labadee with a sea day, we will cruise for 5 days with a stop in Nassau on the last day. I don't mind sea days but not to go to Nassau.

Like @twangster said, the benefits are specific to the individual, however your sister can use here "diamond vouchers" to purchase drinks for you if she is not using all her vouchers.  We did that recently on a cruise with my in-laws.  My wife and I are Diamond, so we all got the soda package and just got my in-laws the few "mocktails" they wanted during the trip. Event then, we never used the 8 total vouchers a day we had access to.  At some point, we may even drop the soda package, but if you get it at the right price, it's hard to pass up.  We don't drink alcohol and have to watch the sugar, but I can put a way some iced coffee at the cafe!

    Good Luck!

Does your son need a drink package? why not just let him use his vouchers (and yours) for any beverages he may want and save the money on the package

No, nor do I think you, an over 21 adult, could use his card to get adult beverages because his card will always register as under 21. It's probably best for the friends sailing along to take advantage of the wine/champagne and soda they can bring on board and then buy their drinks a la carte. If it's as you say, that they don't drink enough to justify the package, I'm sure a couple drinks a day won't be too hard on their wallet.

I watched the whole series, but I think I recall it was his last video because he was nearing the end of his content. I may be wrong. He seemed pretty bummed about it.

When you ride the zip line you are driven from the Labadee compound to the mountain side where the zip starts.  You are briefly outside the fence of the compound on the bus ride to the zip line start area.
The compound has a couple of layers between guests areas and the outside world.

There is a staging area with fuel and other supplies.

Then the buffer ends at the security office and gate.  This is where day workers would enter the compound, going through security.

Once beyond the gate you are in the true Haiti.

The road to the zip line goes up the mountain where it connects to a main road that would go off towards the rest of Haiti.

    The main road.

The top of the coaster ride next to the zip line start is also fenced off.

For most of the week I kept ignoring mentions of this story thinking that people were dredging up the older story where a staff member was found to be recording in the public bathrooms because "surely" my brain reasoned "there aren't two separate instances of this happening so relatively close together..."
But there are and this one is miles worse and I am sickened to read what he did and how long he was able to do it and i hate that we as vacationers have to consider all these extra precautions just to having a good time...

Good point.  No need to worry too much about the private destinations, they won't leave without you there (but not for a reason you're going to like...)

Sacrilege!!!! Hot Dog Nirvana. I'm still mourning the closure of a Chicago Dog joint that was a couple miles from home in Altamonte Springs. Owned by 2 women (Chicago natives), served Chicago Dogs, Polish, Italian Beef and a smash Burger dubbed the Ditka, along with the best fast  food fries I've ever eaten. Victims of the pandemic and the insane increase of commodity prices (they used only Vienna Beef dogs). How I miss it.........😥

I landed on this topic because I was really hoping for a Chicago dog (sailing HOTS 4/21/24), but alas I believe I will be sorely disappointed... A dedicated hot dog house with NO Chicago dog? Ahhh, the sport peppers, neon green chemical relish, poppyseed bun...? I'm guessing if the normal buns are suspect, there will be no "gourmet" buns.

For me it depends on what port and what I'm doing.  Labadee or Coco Cay?  You may find me headed back to the ship 20 minutes prior to All Aboard.  Any excursion where I'm being transported away from the ship (not just wandering on foot) that isn't Royal Caribbean's doing?  I'm going to make sure I'm planning to be back 90 minutes prior.
