  1. I'm adding that to my list as Bailey's on the rocks with a shot of espresso, and I'm having it with lunch.
  2. Watch out for that Iced Tea, though, I'm sure they can replace "Coke" with something else ?
  3. Sorry you have that reaction but at least you understand the cause. I've been avoiding corn syrup like the plague for years now so I really don't know how I will react to it if it ends up in a cocktail I'm trying, we'll see... As to leaving a drink behind after one sip, package or not, I don't think I can do that though. Somewhere there's a homeless guy on the street that would love to have that drink, so I will drink it for him.
  4. Good to know, thanks. So, if I ask for a drink on my list at an Empress bar, there is a chance (possibly a likelihood) that they may say "Sorry, not offered here" ?
  5. Which brings up an interesting question: I'm on the Empress (first cruise ever) and are these drink options generally available across all R/C ships? If so, are they available across all bars on each ship?
  6. All three sound great, adding to my new list. Tequila is most definitely a go, although I remember the time I ate that damned worm decades ago (but that's another story...)
  7. Yea, I suspected that. I may have to trim my list down from the syrup containing ones. But, I'm beating my liver up with alcohol anyway and maybe I should just get off my high horse and endure some of the other bad things. It is about the experience and the taste after all, and it's only for eight days.
  8. Just kidding of course, they could always airlift in more supplies.
  9. Thank god we're on different ships! ?
  10. This is my current list (before adding the ones here) and I plan on trying each one over the 8 days. They seem to meet my no added sugar requirement and only the Iced Tea adds coke, which I could ask them to skip. These were taken from the R/C site so I assume they are accurate. • Rolling Stone: Ilegal Joven mezcal, honey, lemon & cucumber juices, yogurt mix and basil leaves • Baton Rouge: Captain Morgan Original Spiced rum, Hennessy Cognac and pear syrup with bitters and lemon juice • Sandy Collins: Whisky - Crown Royal and maple syrup whisked with lemon juice and ginger soda • Spiced Rum Runner: Captain Morgan spiced rum, creme de banana, blackberry brandy, pina colada, grenadine • Teqmo: Jose Quervo Gold Tequila, agave syrup, fresh lime, mint leaves • Strawberry Mezcal Pepperita: Del Maguey Vida Blanco Mezcal, Cointreau, strawberry rita mix, pinch of pepper • Kentucky Burgundy: Maker's Mark, creme de classic, fresh lime, strawberry mix • Long Island Iced Tea: Mount Gay Eclipse rum, vodka, gin, triple sec, sweet & sour, Coke • Wildberry Margarita: Patron Silver, Island Oasis wildberry, margarita • Mango Sunrise: Captain Morgan mango rum, Smirnoff Raspberry vodka, cranberry juice, lemon • Shanghai Smash: The Macallan Select Oak, orange curacao, lemon and mint • Vanilla White Russian: Absolut vanilla vodka, Kahlua
  11. I wonder if R/C bartenders read this forum? Maybe one could enlighten. I prefer vodka also.
  12. Actually, vodka water is my primary drink! I'm sure I'll have a few of these ?
  13. Rum Punch: Jamaican white rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, and nutmeg. Sounds good!
  14. Lavender Martini: 2 ounces gin, 1/2 ounce dry vermouth, 1/2 ounce lavender simple syrup and 2 dashes orange bitters. Looks like the French is made with vodka and, raspberry-flavored liqueur. Added...
  15. Long vodka: Lemonade, or soda water, and lime cordial with 1 or 2 shots of vodka on ice. Added to my list!
  16. Taking my first cruise shortly, the Empress to the Bahamas, bought the deluxe drink package and I'm looking for some suggestions. I avoid sugar and corn syrup based sodas, I drink vodka for the most part and looking to try out some good whisky and rum, but open to anything adventurous! Thanks.
  17. That Cruise Wall Tap looks perfect ZMANATL, buying it now...
  18. Great forum, pleased to be onboard!
  19. Great advice, informative link! I'm going to just plug my laptop into the two-prong 110. I already have an external USB hub for the laptop so I'll just charge my other devices from there. I went ahead and bought one of those 220 converters, it may come in handy, but a little leery on that. Anyway, thank you, they don't make it easy considering the digital age we live in!
  20. Thanks, that's what I was concerned about, and thank you for the link! Does the ship supplied outlet have two plugs? One to plug my laptop into and one for the USB wall charger. Also, (I'm in a small room on the Empress) is the outlet next to a table where I can set my electronics on, or is it like in the bathroom? ? And, are they grounded (three plug) outlets or just two pronged? So many questions...
  21. I'm a first time cruiser and a bit confused about the extension cord restriction. I have a USB hub for charging my devices and wondering if it's acceptable. If not, I will certainly go with another option, if one could be recommended.
  22. Looking forward to getting the first one under my belt ?
