Hello all, we are getting very close to our 1st cruise (10/14 on Navigator) and I have a question about the pool towels. I understand checking them out but do we need to take our used towels back to the towel station each day? Just trying to know what to expect. Thank you
-
I know I can check in on the app and get our boarding time but how long do I have to enter the rest of our information? We are traveling at the moment so I don't have all our passports and things to add to our check in if needed. Thank you

If you're in the USA, have you ordered the govt tests? You can still do that. I'd never ordered any so I went in and did it and they sent me 24 tests. So we'll use those and just pay the $15 pp to do OnPoint or something similar. The only thing is it took like a month to get the tests, so you have to have time for that.
I ordered ours and it only took about 10 days for me to get them. We live in Alaska, I was super surprised how quickly they got here

Thank you!

How far in advance can you schedule the tests? Our cruise isn't until October, would rather book it now so it's 1 less thing to take care of later
-
We got the unlimited dining plan for our October cruise on Navigator and I has a reservation for the 1st evening at 5:30 but it doesn't specify which restaurant. Is that normal? Thank you

We are scheduled for our 1st cruise in October on Navigator so please forgive my ignorance. Do the cabins have "do not disturb" door hangers for when we are in the cabin during that day and don't want the steward to come in? If they don't, can I bring one? Thank you

That explains it! I'm not sure if they're going to honor it as a UDP or not.
Did they detail anything concerning it in your letter about the change? I know they're letting you keep your cruisefare pricing but I'm not sure if they're honoring the packages at the 3 night cost or not.
I do recall it was discussed somewhere here on the boards from someone with the same situation but no one has reported back any outcome.
I purchased the UDP after they changed over to the longer sailing. My receipt shows it was UDP, not the 3 night UDP and I have screen shots printed of the booking I made that says it's for each night and lunch on sea days to take with me. I'll keep an eye on it and will call RC again closer to the sailing if it continues to show incorrectly on my planner.
I already got cancelations and refunds for all the items I had purchased in the planner before they extended the sailing. The rates for all that like the beverage packages have updated in the planner for the longer sailing. The refreshment beverage package will now be over $400 for us if we were to repurchase it but I'm pretty sure we won't do that.

Was this one of those Navigator sailings that went from 3 to 7 nights?
Yes it is

We purchased the unlimited dining package for our 7 night October cruise but both the app and calendar on the website say it's a 3-night dining package. Will the ship honor my receipt and give us the unlimited package as advertised in the cruise planner, that it was for every night of our sailing and lunch on sea days? I called and they resent my receipt but said that was all they could do.

Is there an option to use the UDP for lunch on embarkation day? 1st time cruisers thinking about purchasing the UDP for our October cruise.

No, it would be extended for free
No actually all of that is being refunded and I have to rebook. Everything I had booked in the cruise planner has been canceled according to all the emails I got, I should have refunds for that within the next couple of weeks. Anything not cruise fare was canceled and refunded.
-
Our 4 night cruise in October got changed to a 7 night cruise by RC. The email I got said if we decided to go ahead and keep the cruise -
- You'll automatically be moved to a like-for-like stateroom on the new 7-Night October 14th, 2022 Navigator of the Seas sailing. So, there's nothing for you to do except enjoy the extra nights on us!
- You'll enjoy your sailing in a Oceanview Balcony, stateroom number 9692, and all your amenities will remain the same.
-
Your original stateroom category price will either be protected at your original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
- If your booking was already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we'll provide you with a refund for the difference
Our original cruise was paid in full and what I understood the message to say was that we were responsible for taxes, gratuities, etc. Any ideas why I now have a balance due of over $1000??

I would go ahead and cancel anything you bought in the Cruise Planner now, and not wait for RC to cancel them automatically. I've found that I've gotten the refund(s) much quicker that way.
We didn't get that chance, it won't let me in that part amymore.

My October 2022 4 night cruise has been converted to 7 night cruise that now leaves 10/14 instead of 10/17. RC emailed us and we have 3 options. We have decided to go on the extended cruise so yay for that but since we are now going to different ports none of the excursions I purchased are needed. I'm also assuming the drink packages, specialty dining and spa treatments I had booked are also not good anymore either. Nothing was in the email about when to expect refunds for those items and the cruise planner only lists the cancelation, not the new cruise. Has this happened before and can anyone offer advice? Really wishing I had used a TA

We were told one time on a bridge tour that the Marine Pilot only advises and doesn't touch any of the ships controls...They don't have the ships specific skills to be trusted to maneuver the ship. I'm also sure there must be some insurance liability issues.
Sorry, incorrect - at least for the pilot's in Alaska. The pilot's have US Coast Guard Merchant Mariners credentials with a Master endorsement for unlimited tonnage for the specific region in Alaska where they work. They complete a lengthy, unpaid, training program and are trained on many vessels, they have mandatory maneuvers that must be completed on cruise ships in order to complete their training and become licensed by the State Board of Marine Pilot's. I am the Marine Pilot Coordinator for the State of Alaska Board of Marine Pilot's and I issue their state licenses . The cruise ships aren't the only ones they are trained on, they complete about 2 years of training before being allowed at the controls of the vessels.

Are you still on it? If so you can just edit the title. Unless there's already a roll call for your new trip?
I tried and it won't let me edit the title. I posted the roll call back in April lol. Very excited for my first cruise and now it's changed somewhat but still excited.
-
Can someone please remove a roll call for me? The October 17-21, 2022 on Navigator of the Seas. Got notified that it has been canceled and converted to a 7 night cruise Oct 14-21. Thank you!

You don't NEED to print it, you can use the app and/or take a screen shot or save it to your Apple wallet (if iPhone) for quicker access.
You can also rely on an e-mail of your covid test results.
You do need to print luggage tags of course.
All that said, many people choose to print out those items anyway b/c it can actually be faster to just have the printed versions in hand along with your passport and vax card rather than spending time scrolling through your phone. Sometimes the old fashioned way still works better but your call.
How far out from the cruise can you print every thing (except the COVID test results)? Thanks

We are going on our 1st cruise in October 2022 as a late honeymoon and my fiance picked the Vineyard Falconry Harris Hawk excursion. We don't drink but thought the tour and seeing the falconry would be really neat.

I would call them if you don’t get one within 24 hours of payment.
I emailed them requesting one, will call if I don't hear back. I also printed screen shots of my profile on the website showing I don't have a balance.

I made my final payment today for my October 2022 cruise, will I get an emailed receipt for that showing the balance is paid in full? It's our 1st cruise so all this is new to me. Thank you!
