your post could not have been more apropos. We have been looking at and would love to do a Hawaiian cruise also but have school aged children which seems to rule out any of the major cruise lines (since they dont seem to cruise in the summer) besides NCL and Pride of America. So, why is it that there are no summer hawaiin cruises otherwise? repositioning issues?

I’ve done symphony and wonder and am about to knock out Harmony in march. I’ve also sailed navigator which I loved. Having said that , I’m an oasis class homer so far.

I’ve sailed several times on Royal and can say I’ve never even thought about the amount of children onboard. The lit adults are more of a problem In my book.

I was looking at the celebrity website and looking at the edge class ships. They look gorgeous with lots of cool looking dining venues and then I thought to myself, man that’d require me to bring a lot more formal clothes than I do for a Royal cruise and have to routinely dress up more than a polo and slacks for said dining venues. Seems like too much work. Royal hits the sweet spot for me, which is why I’m loyal to Royal!

What you need to know , is that you’re going to have a blast and become a cruise addict.

Interesting question. I have only sailed symphony and wonder as far as oasis class. I loved both. Maybe slight edge to Wonder. Very subjective though.

Yup , a problem on the suite sundeck as well. It’s well documented. Although Im Sure the boardwalk is an issue on all oasis class ships

I’ve sailed both , wonder hands down. Although the wonder itineraries leave a lot to be desired. The coco , Aruba , curaçao itinerary was awesome though

I watched video. Sounds like his symphony contract might be the end of the road for him and Royal Caribbean. If so, its been a good run, chris!
