I got my vacation protection plan back on both of my cancelled cruises from March and May. I know at first my TA said they would not refund it, but she called back explaining that RC cancelled and the Plan was not able to be used. I guess this is not much help as my TA took care of getting it back, but you should be refunded it as long as RC cancelled and not you.

Mine dropped from $71 to $53 for a March 2021 spring break sailing.

The family bonding. We usually try to go with my mom and dad, just having a nice scotch sitting out by the pool.

I got mine also about an hour ago, also only for two of us instead of 3. Also, they didn't give me the additional 25% on the FCC. Been on hold with them for an hour so far. On the bright side it really didn't take that long to get the FCC, even though it was not correct.

This is interesting. Especially stating if you have a fever, don't even show up and you'll get a full refund. I wonder if they require any proof? If not, this may give a lot of people a way out who were worried about the virus but didn't want to take a financial hit so they planned on sticking it out.

Balcony area is not totally private. You will definitely hear your neighbors and the partitions do not go all the way to the ground nor to the bulkhead, so there is a gap. Smoking is not allowed on any balconies. If you are at the railing you will see neighbors, above below and next to you. As far as valuables, I would not leave anything of value out there. I normally only leave a bathing suit or towels out there.

Can you point me to the videos you are referring to? I love the message board and would enjoy finding videos to prepare for our cruise too! Thanks!
I'm guessing the videos Royal Cruiser was referring to are the blog videos. You can look at the those on the Royal Caribbean blog tab at the top of the page.

definitely the earlier you book the better. It's all a shell game with the numbers. This new offer, though, actually saved me $100, but then it took away my $75 OBC, but still ahead $25.

Does anyone know what the menu is like? They are offering this in Giovannis while we are on Serenade, and we are curious if its the usual menu or something different. If we hadn't scored the $18 a day drink package the unlimited wine would be more of a determining factor
The full menu is not an option, they give you a limited menu with appetizer, main and dessert. Wine is only choice of a pinot grigio or a merlot. It was good enough for me.

If ppl weren't using these perks..then they were making MORE money from the promo. They are full of BS.
Exactly if they weren't using or "overlapping" benefits that just means the customer was buying even more. Overlapping benefits isn't a bad thing if one of them is being paid for.

I know it's not really a cabana, but are beach loungers and/or bungalows on the island still? First time RCCL cruiser and I'm getting confused with all the options from before it was Perfect Day. I don't see the loungers or bungalows in my Cruise Planner to pre-book, so are they either not there anymore or just not available to book prior arrival?
Loungers are still free and there are plenty of them. Beach beds/Cabanas are not free.

We recently booked the anthem in October also. Haven't seen the price below $56 a day. Anyone else see lower? It seems like $660 for 2 adults has been the lowest total regardless of whatever "sale price" they advertise.
I just paid $57 a day. I think it's funny how they can advertise these Buy one get one half off price that is going on now for my cruise. I saw it listed at $61 a day and thought that is great one at $61 and the other at 30 for 91 a day....nope price shown is for both....gotta love cruise math and the ever floating on-board pricing.

I did it on the Adventure last summer. It was fun, I enjoyed it. They line up the tables so there are two rows and the actors walk around the room during the play. Some audience interaction, but not much. The all you can drink wine of course is a plus and the food was good. The show is on par with any other local murder mystery dinners that I have done in the past, not great acting but a lot of overacting. I was entertained and thought it was a great way to spend the evening. I would do it again, but it is not an option on my next cruise.

$499 is a great steal especially with the wristbands, if you have a party of 6 it almost covers the cost of the cabana by itself.

Looking at next to the last paragraph I see this...
It says NO refund!!!
But the next sentences contradicts that. Very unclear. They need better lawyers.
But it also says in accordance with RCL policy. I believe the policy states that under certain days amount of days from cruise there is no refund, this is probably in that window for no refund. Got to love confusing language in terms and conditions

I recall when I booked with Royal Caribbean through my Travel agent she requested a copy of my DD 214 and sent it them. I guess they must have it on file now, but they haven't asked for proof since that first cruise, besides didn't really notice a difference in price.
