Passport cards
Melody of the Seas replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We got the passport card instead of the book because it was good for sailing the Caribbean, I do not fly so no plans on sailing anywhere outside of the Caribbean, so passport card was sufficient for us, but it does make sense about the rona thing and being out off in a port and having to fly home. Glad we are vaccinated! -
Does anyone have have an idea why Passport cards are not being accepted for a Caribbean cruise? we have always used our passport cards for these cruises .

Melody of the Seas replied to nate91's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I am thinking they might trace unvax via the contact tracing bands? -

Melody of the Seas replied to Leroyr55's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I think this is put out because they are going to lift the no sail order and are trying to warn people not to go.. I will not be one of those people.. LETS CRUISE!! -

I checked all 7 of mine and nothing ? -
IMO it depends on which ship you're on, I think the key is more worth on the larger ships, do you utilize things like the flow rider rock wall? When we bought the key on the Navigator, the perks we took advantage of was the priority check in, but is that even going to be a thing during this pandemic? Lunch at chops on embarkation day, but if we can not get on the ship until late in the afternoon will the lunch be an option? The internet and breakfast on debarkation day. We didn't need to use it for the shows on the smaller ship but would be a good use for the larger ships for sure. We didn't use the flow rider, rock wall options. also if you were plan on getting the internet package, sometimes the key is only a little more then the internet packages so to me that would definitely make it worth. I would wait for the price to drop to 19.99, I purchased mine on the Symphony for 19.99.

Melody of the Seas replied to DanielB's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Everything would be fine if they had testing upon arrival at the port with immediate results. -

Time frame for Covid Testing
Melody of the Seas replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Royal is going to have to come up with some sort of plan here or a lot of people won't be cruising, not for the lack of not wanting too but not being able to get tested. -

Time frame for Covid Testing
Melody of the Seas replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I called CVS, they wont even let me make an appointment if not sick, I called MDNow, she told me their results takes 5 to 7 days.. She told me she herself was trying to find a rapid test and could not find any anywhere with results less then 5 days. -
Time frame for Covid Testing
Melody of the Seas replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This is the issue I am finding, if you're not sick or haven't been in contact with someone who was sick, if you just need a test for say a ..."cruise" they don't do rapid testing or even let you schedule an appointment -
Time frame for Covid Testing
Melody of the Seas replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This is the part that scares me lol -
New protocols are calling for prior Covid testing 24 hrs to 5 days prior to boarding, What has been the time frame for the people who have been tested to get their results? I am seeing most places take 3 days to get results if you are lucky. I foresee this being an issue if everyone in your party can not get results back in time to set sail due to the labs being over loaded with test. Please let me hear your input and ideas on this issue

2021, the year of many vacations
Melody of the Seas replied to JasonL's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
5 booked and looking for more!! -
My offers stopped showing up early this year, I called and it was the same email issue, they fixed it on the spot, withing a few weeks I received an offer on the Symphony for December 12th. I have noticed however that I have to check the offers page, the emails from casino royale don't always show up. September has been the only month that I did not receive an offer since March. I am very grateful they are letting us move our canceled comp'd cruise up until Feb 28th,! Happy sailing everyone and lets hope we all are on one of these magnificent ships VERY soon! I have very high hopes fro December!!
