  1. How long will they hold it? I will be on the June 24th President's cruise...
  2. Sailed NCL Breakaway in 2014 - 2016 out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. I would buy a case of plastic water bottles wrapped in plastic. All I did was to slap a room tag on it and hand to the porter when I arrived (with tip). It would get to my room no problem. But that was then on NCL...
  3. Agree, it seems like bidding is wide open. On the Adventure I was in a balcony and allowed to bid on a 2 for 1 balcony. Crazy, so if I won I would have 2 rooms for the price of one? Not sure why I would want that? To put my wife in another room, to invite friends, for solo points? I understand Royal wants to make money, but don't really understand what they were thinking with that offer - other than they had extra balconies to sell...
  4. @10-42 We had Dark & Stormies on our recent Adventure cruise. Were going to make a point of trying Kraken Rum on the rocks, but we never got there (too many drink of the day sampelings). Good stuff...
  5. No. We like Liqueur 43, but we cannot bring it on-board and Royal has not stocked it on-board since the early 2000s...
  6. Which bags? Royal allows your carry-on drinks in your carry-on bags per rule, but not sure how closely they check this.
  7. @scottb76 Nice! Just curious as to what ship you plan to try this on? It seems like most Royal TVs are Samsungs. Make sure your remote can change inputs - that is all you will need it for.
  8. @LizzyBee23 Very sorry to hear this! Can you elaborate?
  9. I am wondering if a currently booked double occupancy room can be converted (re-priced if need be) to a solo room (keeping the same room & getting a solo price all while the room is still booked by you as a double)? The idea would be the First Law of Wing Walking - don't let go of what you have until you have something better to hold on to...
  10. @krumley428 Welcome to the Royal Caribbean Blog Forum! I agree with @Pooch and @SpeedNoodles. With that in mind and our cruise from last month and this month, I would say that my experience is that the first formal night on day 2 seems to be a bit more "formal" than the second "Dress To Impress" formal night. Also, it seems to us that there are more formal dress participants on day 2. Just our experience...
  11. @HoneyBVegas Welcome to the Royal Caribbean Blog Forum! Here is some info for you about using in cabin TV HDMI ports. My universal remote worked perfectly on Anthem last month, but I just got off the Adventure (yesterday) where it did not! But after further investigation, I did not need it. By luck I discovered that if I plugged into the HDMI port and used the RCI room remote that I could tune it to channel 3 and activate the HDMI! I am guessing this maybe true of all Voyager class ships and maybe other older ships too. As far as streaming movies - forget it. Even if you have your content downloaded onto your device and either mirror it to the TV or to a HDMI device (like Chromecast) it is not worth your trouble. I find the zoom WiFi to be unreliable. It may work for a while and you may get through a movie, but if you don't it is frustrating and a waste of time. Even worse if you try streaming from an off ship server (NAS, commercial stream company, etc) as it is almost never satisfactory. Instead use an HD Media Server w/ HDMI. Some laptops. tablets, & phones can do this too, but might not be as compact as my solution below. Before your cruise you can pre-load your movies and TV shows onto a 512GB micro SD card. This will give you more hours of your favorite content than your cruise is long (unless you do Royal's World Cruise). This is what I am using and it has worked perfectly... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089VXSD1H https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B1HMJ9Z https://www.amazon.com/3-Device-Universal-Preprogrammed-SRP9232D-27/dp/B07B4P1DK9 Let me know if you have any questions...
  12. Yesterday I was able to click on the link in the "ACTION REQUIRED" email sent to us last Saturday for our cruise tomorrow. It was then simple to upload our Covid test results. Worry free. Now just waiting for an email back on the status of our Bermuda Travel Authorizations...
  13. Well all this worrying about the CVS "Rapid test with provider visit" and for no reason - it was smooth sailing! Ready for an Adventure on Thursday...
  14. @cruisecruzcrews Your pic shows the lowest price possible, which is probably for an inside room. Do a mock booking for the cheapest category available to you and see if you can approach that advertised $255pp price.
  15. @BrianB So far so good. We cancelled our CVS PCR test and now have the Rapid test scheduled for tomorrow. Did you do the same?
  16. @billnj Welcome to the Royal Caribbean Blog Forum !!! We just cancelled a CVS PCR test for tomorrow and re-scheduled a "Rapid test with provider visit" also for tomorrow. We are very aware of the many text messages they send to confirm the visit. Did you get these? We have never have any problems with CVS. We are in MA. Are you in NJ? That is where @BrianB is, so maybe he can comment on this.
  17. Also, 12 bottles can be brought on-board in your carry-on during embarkation, but on no other day.
  18. You will save money if you drink sink water over purchased water - of course. But with sink water it will be a bit more difficult to keep it cold (gotta get it in the frig or ice it) and to carry it around (you will need your own cup - insulated cup with ice preferably). The point is sink water is less convenient. So is it worth it? Only you can decide...
  19. @GoBills @kdaruss @Never Cruised Before Welcome all to the Royal Caribbean Blog Forum !!! Happy cruising and dining !!!
  20. True. They do this for mix-drinks and spirits too.
  21. @JessMay Did you call Royal and did you have any luck?
  22. For my April & May cruises final payment was due 30 days out and my Jun cruise is due 60 days out. My guess is just a phasing back to the pre-pandemic environment...
  23. Truth be told I get the soda package on every sailing now. I try to buy it on the Black Friday sale which is usually the best of the year. Of course that only works when booking that far in advance. I am not sure I actually get my money's worth, but I like it when my sea pass card has soda written on it.
  24. No! Only on embarkation can you bring sodas onboard and they must be carried on.
