  1. My wife has to always remind me which side of the pool deck NOT to walk on. You are right, it is bad enough as it is. Shutting and locking all windows on a cruise ship isn't a solution. Next should they prevent you from walking on outside decks? Then maybe prevent balcony usage? There are plenty of other ship railings where passengers can use bad judgement. If the Cruise Lines had to fully protect against bad judgement they would go out of business.
  2. Hi Pete, Are you asking about 12 nights in general or are you concerned specifically about a 12 Baltic? Like others, I would say more is better - that's if you can afford the time. We did the Anthem's very first US cruise out of NJ on 151110 which was 12N to the Southern Caribbean. I love the SC and 12N allowed us time to get there. It was awesome. I also did a 14N transatlantic on the Splendor in 1999. That was just so incredible all around, including the price which was only $69 per person per day including the cruise and Virgin Air to England. Every day at lunch the headwaiter for our table section would make a special (and not on the menu) pasta for just us at table-side. Probably the best cruise I was ever on. Really a once in a lifetime experience! The longest we did was a 14N just last year where we booked the Dawn back-to-back from Boston to Quebec City to Boston. Loved it. Quebec City was awesome. Been wanting to do that cruise for a long time. BUT, 14N for me was a bit tough from a work standpoint. Probably won't do that again until I retire. In the end I am glad I did those cruises. If you are itching for the Baltics, I think you will be too.
  3. Welcome to the RCB forums! @doubleJ @foxrunner @Oreocruiser & @Chaosgirl426
  4. I really liked where you were going with this equality idea. But if my wife and I like to dress up on our cruises why should we have to pay extra for that experience? After all we would be the ones following the RCCL rules and it would be the others who aren't. So why shouldn't they pay to dress down?
  5. Agreed! Well put. Why do so many people in the world today believe they are entitled? Such a sad state of humanity...
  6. Welcome Pippa & MD to the RCB! Ditto on that Job too. I sit in front of 3 computer screens at work, but they make me do stuff for my cruise money.
  7. Skid, thanks for this info! Not sure why, but I never noticed the 'ORDER HISTORY' link before. My eyes always go right to the 'CART'. I have been waiting for prices to go down before purchasing, but with this info, I will book now and then keep looking for a price drop. No, my preference would be to do this directly on the website and to not have to call. This is great. Thanks Again...
  8. @KenCP So how is it possible to cancel an existing Cruise Planner purchase and re-book it? Do I need to call RCCL directly to do that? This sounds easy in theory, but hard in practice...
  9. Ahhh, the 'ol common whitetail dragonfly. Of course! I was going to guess Orville & Wilbur... ?
  10. Hey Tennessee, Welcome to the RCB Forums. Yes, you find lots to do and plan for on the Oasis. I love the Oasis class ships...
  11. Hi Greg, Welcome to the RCB!
  12. Brenna, ditto on all the above. Sorry your husband is having difficulties. As for a second cruise, my choice would be Anthem. We love that Solarium. We were on it in JUN and will be on it in OCT. So if it works out for you, then go for it. Like so many of us now say thanks to Matt - "You Only Live Once".
  13. I am interested in this topic too. We are Diamond and are looking to cruise Celebrity for our 25th in 2021. We am looking for British Isles or something in that area. Thank You @CGTLH for your informative post... ART & CEIL
  14. @MaritimeR&R Are both you and your friends Diamond members? Also, for your Adventure cruise were either of you in a Suite? I am trying to understand the relationship between the Diamond Lounge and the Suite Lounge as it pertains to you...
  15. Was this this first time you walked into the Diamond Lounge on this cruise? I always say "Hi" to or at least catch the Concierge's eye when I walk in. My experience is once they engage with you for the fist time then they will recognize (and not bother) you for the rest of the cruise...
  16. Yes, Congrats to all Blues Fans !!! ? For me, thankfully I was on the Anthem so I could not watch my beloved Bruins lose... ?
  17. Sorry to read this about your wife Bob. I hope she is doing better now.
  18. @chipo Hi! I was on your sailing. (I wasn't a blog member then.) How did you like it? I am ART from MA. I was on it with a friend from High School and JUN 6th was 40 years to the day that we graduated. We had fun. Going on the Anthem again in OCT.
  19. @BrianAlt How did you like the cruise? I sailed the June 6th 9N Anthem cruise. We liked the Anthem and booked the upcoming OCT 24th NE/Canada cruise on it.
  20. Hi Dan, I booked the OCT 24th version of your cruise: 9N Anthem to NE/Canada. You shouldn't have any problem getting signal in ports. I did the NCL Dawn back-to-back last year from Boston to Quebec City to Boston. We stopped at most of the same ports. I am on Cricket, which uses AT&T equipment and had no problems. Cricket has a Canada option which I enabled last year and it worked fine too. Not sure if I will bother with that this year with only 3 stops in Canada. Did you find any excursion info? I need to start looking. I also need to make final payment as it is now due.
  21. Celebrity has been sending me emails (the latest one at 10AM this morning) with these subject lines: "Hello Massachusetts residents, you're eligible for special resident rates." I would love to see a great deal on a 2021 British Isles cruise. Still looking...
