  1. We live near Port Canaveral so it's hard to justify going out of FLL, but RCL doesn't have any 7 nights not on the mega ships, and they cost more (family of 5 coming from NM and they are more expensive). Soooo, we will go the day before, stay on the beach, and get this vaca started! Does anybody have a cruise compass from the Adventure OTS eastern Caribbean?
  2. It's a shame it's $79 each way, takes as long as driving, and doesn't include food. We just can't embrace high-speed rail as an auto alternative in this country.
  3. Attach the link for it - I live near Cocoa Beach and should be able to identify it.
  4. I booked the Thrill Water Park cabana - it says in the description it is for you and 6 friends/family members. Question - is that 6 or 7 total? TIA trish
  5. I follow Matt’s advice and just book the drink package if ultimately I would spend that for the convenience and budget factors. I can benefit if it goes down, but what if it goes up? My question about that is purchasing the Thrill Water Park Cabana as a Christmas present for our family cruise. They sell out so what option would you have to cancel and we-book?
  6. I live near the Port - there is a lot of eco-tourism here - great kayaking - Karen's kayak tours does a great one on Crane Creek (lots of Manatees and Dolphins) Also 1,000 Islands in Cocoa Beach. There is parasailing, jet skis, kite surfing, surfing, water jet pack, ax throwing, helicopter rides, Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventure, a great Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures at Brevard Zoo (great zoo, lots of shade) You zipline over the alligator pond and can kayak through Africa. Kennedy Space Center is a great attraction now. You have Ron Jon's and Cocoa Beach Surf Company for great gifts for you and taking home. Great dining venues - in the Port you have Fish Lips, Rising Tap & Tide, Grills, Gator's dockside. In Cocoa Beach hit 4th Street Fillin' Station and Coconuts on the Beach. Let me know I can be of any additional help trish
  7. LOL, Well this would be if the all-aboard time wasn't 3:30! What up Royal? When are you ever in port late enough (well Bermuda).
  8. So good to hear! When these pop-up sales happen I don't want to wait on a TA. I prefer to do it all myself. Thanks for the quick response
  9. It's been a few years since we sailed (October 2019) - refresh my memory. I believe I can purchase RCL packages on my own but if the price lowers my TA needs to cancel and re-book? TIA
  10. I have done both on Voyager. We loved the Southern with Aruba, Curacao, Dominica, St. Thomas. Curacao had the rainbow colored Dutch homes I saw 40 years ago in a Premier Cruise line brochure!! The swinging bridge is very cool! My favorite on the Eastern itinerary was the Grand Pitons and volcano on St. Lucia, but the trip to it was not fun!
  11. Yes, we did it last year as a Disney excursion--you board the Fury on the dock near your ship so no buses! The cat and crew were a lot of fun--the snorkeling is open water (near shore but you still have more waves than in a lagoon). The beach was a lot of fun--they had all the blow up slides and such in the water (they were a blast), chairs, volleyball, served buffet and free soft drinks and beer. I believe there were kayaks and such there too. There were a few shopping kiosks there too. It was a great day and I do recommend it. I would say about a 45 minutes for the snorkeling and an hour or so for the beach. We were the only ones there, and another cat pulled up as we were leaving so it worked out really well.
  12. We booked on Good Hope Estate through DCL last October for the House tour and lunch--as noted they operate on island time and it seems rather haphazard but everyone was wonderful. The house is quite amazing in the innovations it had for the time. The facility for lunch is a very large new pavilion which also uses old structures brilliantly. The lunch was very good. We really enjoyed the day, and driving back through Falmouth to the ship made us doubly glad we booked this trip and didn't venture into town.
  13. We were at Cozumel last November on Disney Fantasy and did the Fury Catamaran snorkel and beach break as a DCL excursion. We got off the ship and boarded the boat right on the same dock. The crew and cat were a lot of fun and the Island had all the blow-up water park platforms and slides that was a lot of fun! Food was served and beer was included on the island. The snorkel--it is close to shore but open ocean and I personally didn't like it--I didn't have time to get my bearings when I got in the water, and I don't like swim fins. I stayed on the boat and my husband enjoyed the float snorkel. If it was a calmer area it would have been a perfect day. https://www.google.com/search?q=fury+catamaran+snorkel+%26+beach+break&rlz=1C1CHZL_enUS770US770&oq=fury+cat&aqs=chrome.4.69i57j0l5.7655j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
