Real quick: as a policy-- anything or anybody under no circumstances goes on the other side of the railing of the ship. Even if you paid us $160 for us to dangle you out there in a jumpsuit, helmet, and harness. Also, this feature is going to induce genuine fear into many people. This is different than a climbing wall or a raft on a water slide. It's the wrong kind of fear, it can become terror. Finally, it's very windy out there and there is going to be some tall, lanky teenager that meets the height and weight requirements but with the wind and their surface area they are going to have a hard time making it back to the boat after the bottom drops out and they are going to get stuck.

I bet Michael Bayley knows exactly what I am talking about.

Wow, crazy to to think of a casino as a place with a lack of integrity. Too good to be true. Not exactly goods as promised. A swindle even before you get onboard.

Does your sailing stop in Nassau? If so, I don't think the Blog has written in depth about the new port area. I was so surprised how nice it was when I was there last month; they did such a good job. More needs to be said about it.

Royal Bling-- Has Royal really just caught on to the amount of dollars spent in St Thomas for contraband Royal Caribbean jewelry??? I'd like to see what Royal Bling has on the shelves and well....would sorta like to see at what price. Warn me if I should be seated.

Aquadome Market-- Wow! Have they really been paying attention to how young people eat in 2024? The menus seem really short but is this goods as promised?

Celebration Table-- This is your reward for your hard work and this is your private party, but my question is: Can the food possibly match the venue?

Their underlying message to solo travelers is clear: We Don't Want You.

Using @DunkelBierJay example: It is going to cost the solo traveler $724 per night ($706 + $18 daily gratuity) for balcony that goes to Nassau and Coco Cay and is out of Port Canaveral. Mariner is over 20 years old. 

As a solo traveler,  I can get a lot more value for my buck on so many other vacation choices spending the same $2,888 budget over 4 days.

Call whomever you booked the cruise with and change your reservation to one where you select a cabin. Problem solved and anxiety gone.

I am finding the World Cruise fascinating!!! 

We all should be watching and learning.

If Royal was smart and really wanted to maximize cruise fare revenue, they should have the contractor that operates Royal Up create a new program....Royal Down.

Then they could play all kinds of games of upgrading passengers for more money than people would be willing to be downgraded-- all after final payment.

It takes a considerable amount of time to get to the Gulf of Mexico. If the boat leaves at 4pm I think it will be past 10 or 11 when the ship gets to some open water. You'll certainly pass some barge traffic along the way. 

Shortly after leaving NOLA you'll pass a Domino sugar factory on the port side, I always think to myself 'Wow, this facility is there just to service Cafe du Monde.'

You've got two obligatory requirements; book your flight with Air Canada and enroll in conversational French 101.

Quebec City is a stunningly beautiful city, not spending extra time there is selling yourself short.

The venue Music Hall and the bar bands that play there are a feature of Quantum class ships. 

Pirate parades, balloon drops, and the perpetual Village People revue--that's every ship with a Royal Promenade.

The old man is sitting in his rocking chair trying to find the ambition to drag the soapbox into the good ol’ town square again. Star of the Seas has brought about many philosophical questions.
