I just saw a 3 yr old youtube video where they are talking about an escape room on Anthem... but it is the first mention I had seen of it, and was wondering if it is something they even still have??

How does everyone handle taking their medications with them? I have several that I take and am not planning on bringing all of the original bottles.... would take up a lot of room! I was thinking that I could get my script medication list from my doctor to bring with me... and then put my medications in a travel pill keeper... does everyone do this? I have always heard that you should have your original pill bottle with your name on it for prescription medications when you travel... but i know that most people probably don't actually DO that.... right? lol

@Skid on this one I will have my family (cousin and aunt and others) with me... but I have not ruled out the possibility of going one one solo some day...has always been a bucket list item of mine to just take off somewhere alone .... make friends along the way....

I am Julie and I am new to the site... have been asking all sorts of questions, as I am super excited in anticipation of my first RC cruise (on Anthem) with my aunt, cousin and cousins boyfriend and son, this coming NYE! I have been on one cruise, but it was a Greek Island cruise for 4 days, in the middle of a 17 day greece tour, back in 1994. That was a long time ago, and that ship (the MTS TRITON) was tiny compared to these ships! I am super excited and am one of those people who enjoys the trip planning almost as much as the actual trip, and so I have really enjoyed this site! I was thinking it would be awesome if there was a section on here for 'Singles' to get to know other singles. I am not trying to find myself a Love Boat situation, but it would be nice to touch base with other single cruisers... most everyone I have met here so far is married...any other singles out there?! lol

@KathyC you are more brave than I am... I think I would be too chicken to do the Ice... i would do rollerblading if they still had it... wow, i guess that was a fad, funny how it was the hot thing and now they are back to roller skates! lol

@fonemanbob Yes... I thought the same thing... was glad that Anthem has roller skating rather than ice skating. I don't think i would dare try the ice skating... I remember how hard that was the one time i went when i was 15 yrs old! lol

I was thinking that if I do it, I will wait until the last day... so that if I break an ankle, it won't ruin the whole week! lol

@JLMoran ohhh cool... YES, i want to definitely check that out (Matt's roller skating block!) I am seriously pretty excited about it, i even ordered a cheap pair of skates from Amazon, so that I can practice before I go! haha PS..and WOO HOO.... I like this new age timeline thing a LOT!! Is that really true...I mean it DOES make sense, since people are living longer...retiring later .... that we should get to put off moving to that next age classification just yet... Actually, I am turning 49 in less than a month (aug 1)... and so I am all about the middle age classification beginning at say, 60...??

Any other 'out of shape' middle aged folk dare to get on roller skates on the ship? I am a chubby 48 yr old ...and I have not been on roller skates in like 30 years... but it sounds SO FUN.... Did anyone else do it??....

@Qeytondude ... wow.. yeah , Im sure that is frustrating! I wonder if maybe they are still deciding on shows... or don't have them set in stone yet? I am new to all of this and so i dont know when they start over with new shows, or how any of that works... but that does seem to be getting close!

I am going to be sailing my first time with RC, with my aunt and cousin, who are both Diamond level cruisers. They were talking about the exclusive lounge/ areas that you have to have Diamond level to go into. Will I be able to go with them into these lounges, since we are one group (I am sharing a room with my aunt), or will I have to sit outside while they go in? lol

How close to sailing do you have to be before you see the 'entertainment on board' start to show up? (Like where you can reserve North Star... flowrider.... shows.. and that sort of thing... or at least just see what kind of shows there will be and such.) Our sailing is for NYE (Dec 28 thru Jan 5) on Anthem, and I can view everything else in the cruise planner, except for the onboard 'entertainment' section....

...i guess the one key question is.... was there bacon? ?

Yeah, you know how last week i was talking about getting food for breakfast to take back to my room, since my roommate (my aunt) likes to have her continental breakfast on the balcony. So, anyway, my cousin pointed out to me that the Windjammer is as about as far away from our room as possible, lol. Our room is 12540, which is directly below the Solarium, and so i thought that might be a better option for me to go get my bacon and eggs, if they have it there! lol

Is the breakfast in the Solarium Bistro on Anthem a buffet.... and what all types of foods does it offer at breakfast time?

I tried to download the RC app..the one that just says ' Royal'., but it says that 'Your reservations on ships not yet available in this app' and showed my reservation there. I noticed that Anthem (which is the ship my reservation is on) was not listed as supported by the app. Why are some ships not supported by their app?
