  1. I have enjoyed following this, as we have the same itinerary next May, except we also stop at St. Marteen. Did you go to that port as well? Your pics and narrative is making more excited! We also want to do the trikes on Aruba, and maybe Woodwind on Bonaire. Thanks for the details!
  2. Follow-up question: how does this work? You get a special cup and can only use that cup to get your soda? Are the sinks in the room big enough to wash them each day? Also, do you take that to the MDR if you want soda for dinner? Thanks!
  3. Thanks. That is what we are thinking. Just a soda with lunch and dinner will cover the cost of the package. Do you know if they have ALL of the coke products, like Coke Zero and the various flavors? Or, is it just the standard "five" you find at fast food restaurants?
  4. Debating if we should add the Classic Soda Package to our cruise. It is down in price, to $6.50/per day. We are not big drinkers, other than water, but might want a soda once or twice per day. How much are they on average if bought on the ship, ala-carte? Also, where can I get a list of the types of soda's on the ship?
  5. UGH. That totally stinks. I just spoke with my TA and she said they will be watching and let me know ASAP if our cruise is impacted. It will impact so much in terms of tourism for Puerto Rico, she said, which is sad for their economy.
  6. That would work for our particular cruise! However, hate it for others!
  7. We are supposed to be on Freedom in May, leaving FROM and returning TO San Juan. ?
  8. Can you point me to the videos you are referring to? I love the message board and would enjoy finding videos to prepare for our cruise too! Thanks!
  9. @Ken-55, I notice on the RCI description, it states that this excursion is for individuals who have advanced snorkeling experience. Any thoughts on how "advanced" one should be? I am a good swimmer, but haven't snorkeled since I was a kid. Not for me?
  10. Yep. Will make sure we have everything we need. We already have passports, so we will just bring those I am sure. Thanks!
  11. Ah, thank-you so much! We don't go till end of May, but I am already counting down the days!! Less than 200 now!
  12. Good to know! Can you tell we haven't cruised before? !
  13. We do have passports, but I was under the impression we didn't need them because Puerto Rico is a US Territory? Drivers Licenses are not enough? Also, good suggestion re: checking in. Sounds like that will make embarkation quicker and easier when we return.
  14. GREAT. So, we don't have to board the ship, the same time as our luggage?
  15. Playmakers does incur extra expense, right? It is not complimentary like WJ or MDR?
  16. Flying into San Juan to take the Freedom in May. Is it possible to drop luggage at the cruise terminal, leave and come back later for embarkation? If we fly in a day early, thinking about dropping off luggage day off early day of cruise, and then touring San Juan as we don't have to be on the ship until 3:30pm. Is that possible? Otherwise, maybe our hotel could store our luggage? TIA.
  17. Love this idea! Is it true that there are also some complimentary items we can order for breakfast room service, in addition to coffee?
  18. Thanks for the feedback! We are mid-ship, 7th deck and are doing Southern Caribbean, ABC islands and St. Marteen.
  19. We have a balcony room on FOS next May. Never having cruised before, I imagine enjoying sitting on the balcony on sea days, watching the water pass by etc. Is that a reasonable expectation? Are the balcony's too hot during sea days? Too cold? Too windy? Just right?
