  1. We visited the monkeys, went into the siege tunnels, visited europa point and went in the St Michaels caves. Then we had lunch in a place called ‘the ocean’. They had the most amazing meat paella along with fish tapas to die for. Overall a great port day. Have a feeling that’s going to be the best of the lot ?
  2. We have had a lovely day in gib and are now back on the boat ?
  3. We have just left our baby girl Tinkerbell with my mum and dad, cruise tomorrow!!
  4. Hey, Just saw this post. We are going to be there on a Sunday. Will things be open for visiting in the afternoon? Don’t want to struggle into town for everything to be shut! The churches sound lovely and also the new museum! Thanks, Nikkoo
  5. Great news ? Thank you! 5 days to go ?
  6. On RCCI kids can have a separate room so long as adults are in the room next door or directly across the hall. They don’t even need to be connecting. Our cruise we have 3 rooms for the 6 of us. The 4 kids have interconnecting and we have the room next door. They are all teenagers but RC will let any age so long as location rules are followed. Not sure I would be happy if kids were younger but it suits us for now. They all 13-16. This was the main reason for choosing a cruise and RC ?
  7. Hey, We are going next week and bought the dbp last week in the sale. It’s was £41.04. Been checking since Christmas and have not seen it cheaper. There “should” be a sale on next weekend if the pattern holds although worth pointing out the current price for outs is £46.37 and we have never seen it that high in 8 months of checking. We were not going to bother but a beer is £7.10 after the tip and cocktails nearly double that. You’ll soon hit the £47 every day, I know I will and I’m not in any way a big drinker! Even my wife who will only have coffee and a couple of cocktails a day will break even. People say it will ALWAYS be more to book it on the ship so even if it stays at £46+ until 4 days before book it as it’ll be over £55 on board if the 20% discount is true. Have a a great time, Nikkoo
  8. They told me we were SOL when there was a £1500 price drop just before final payment. We booked direct. I got $150 OBC. With the 3 rooms we had booked it was not a big difference if you considered the 3 deposits lost. I’m still a bit salty though! I was 45 mins on the phone to get that too. Maybe it’s different in Europe?
  9. I think she is already perfect. If only she read these message boards I might get some brownie points for saying that!!
  10. Hey, I just clicked through to see if it was cheaper when picking a time. They said “from £80” but not a single time was that. Cheapest was £98!! Thinking I need to YouTube how to give a hot stone massage!! Thanks for all the replies, Nikkoo
  11. Hey guys, once again thanks for all all the help, 14 days to go!! My wife was wondering if the prices on the planner for the spa are the same as on board or if the on board prices are dynamic and she might get it cheaper if we wait? Not my thing but she wants the hot stone massage but at £80 for 50 mins it’s a lot of money! Thanks again ? Nikkoo
  12. Winner winner, chicken dinner ?
  13. Really? Even on an inside cabin? Would make my wife very happy and mean I don’t have to find her some coffee while she gets ready, making me very happy ?
  14. After deciding the day after the last sale ended that I wanted the DBP I was waiting on the next sale, we cruise in less than 3 weeks!! It’s down to £41.04 which is less than $50 so I suppose the cheapest it’s gonna get ? that’s over £100 saving for 2 of us for 2 weeks. Thanks for the heads up. nikkoo
  15. Oh... I’ll try. I’m happy to ask, my wife is the shy one ?
  16. Thanks for that. We’ll have an explore tonight, tough on a phone ?
  17. We are meeting them in Gibraltar if that makes any difference. Never been so no idea how big but heard the island / peninsula is quite smalll? thanks for your help ?
  18. Guess we are sol with that one then ? thanks for for letting us know!
  19. So we can have breakfast for free and everything else is free but with a tray charge of $8? That sounds reasonable. Even if we just get the breakfast for a quick coffee and snack before heading out ?
  20. Me again! The closer we get to our first cruise the more questions that are popping up! When they push the 2 beds together to make the “royal” double how big actually is it? We like a king or bigger and the best nights sleep we ever had was in an Emperor size bed (7’6” I believe). We don’t have the key and are meeting family at one port, how long after the booked time for disembarkation should we tell them to meet us? On the explorer are movies only shown on the outdoor screen? I read somewhere they had an indoor one somewhere. Its hard as as there is so much info out there but you’re never sure when it is written and if it’s still accurate! you guys have been so helpful, not long until our cruise now ? Nikkoo
  21. Hi, We will be sailing out of Southampton real soon now ? We have read there is not tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, but also read that there are when sailing out of the uk, as you know us Brit’s and our tea... Does anybody know which is right? thanks, nikkoo
  22. Hi all, just wondering whats included/free with room service? I highly doubt we would use it but was just wondering. We are in an inside cabin if that matters. I also assume there will be a tray charge? Thanks, nikkoo
  23. You can take sodas onto the boat? I thought you could only take 2 bottles of wine max? Is this a “key” only thing?
  24. Thanks, so I might have a chance then ?
