  1. Early August, UK cruises start, end of August short cruises to Co Co Cay, 2022, normality returns, hopefully.
  2. Not just you, I can only book one room on that sailing on the UK system, same for all August sailing from Southampton, strange, very strange. Having said that at the prices they quote I couldn't afford 2 staterooms
  3. I'll be joining you, so that's at least 3 of us signed up ?
  4. I did indeed need to call in, very helpful RC agent, all sorted, now hoping the visit the Fjords next year. 1 slight issue, we'd booked a guarantee suite, which aren't an option next year so a quick call to his supervisor and the back office and all sorted. Very impressed with the RC team.
  5. Quick lift & shift question, can I do this online (I booked direct) or do I need to call RC? thanks
  6. That explains why I can't see cruises from Southampton in May, at least they've put me out of my agony!!
  7. https://www.cruisetradenews.com/domestic-cruises-could-restart-on-17-may-reports-suggest/ The UK has just given the go ahead for UK domestic cruises from 17th May, come on RC, seize the opportunity
  8. We've not made our final payment yet for our May cruise, I confidently predict they'll cancel them the day after we've paid
  9. And Anthem is the only ship they have, poor excuse, it's not as though all their other ships are in use!!
  10. The attached link gives the details https://www.rclinvestor.com/contact-us/faqs/shareholder-benefit/
  11. Princess has just cancelled sailings from the UK until September, we are currently under a travel ban until mid May, yet RC is still selling cruises from the UK for the beginning of May. There is something to be said for making a decisive decision as Princess have done rather than hanging on until the last minute and drip feeding cancelations through. Have to say my patience is wearing thin with RC. I'm due to cruise with them from the UK in 90 days, it isn't going to happen, just do the decent thing and cancel it. Rant over
  12. It's based on the amount you have currently paid rather than total cost of the cruise (I believe)
  13. British Isle cruise for the Brits, yes please, right now I'll take anything that's offered, cold wet and windy weather, who cares if it's on a cruise
  14. Don't think RC were being overly generous, Southampton is on route from Germany to Italy where she'll be sailing for the rest of the season. It was hardly out of the way and if you saw the prices they were looking to charge us here in the UK, certainly didn't make me feel valued by RC.
  15. Still not convinced re the size and style of the name on the side, thought that won't stop me wanting to sail on her ?
  16. We've not seen many cases from the cruises that have been operating (and are about to restart) in Europe, and we've definately nowhere near zero cases, so the cruise lines must be doing something right.
  17. And apparently Carnival have just done the same, come on RC, just you to go now. https://www.cruisehive.com/carnival-cruise-line-just-removed-all-may-2021-sailings/47261
  18. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/02/22/royal-caribbean-group-lost-over-58-billion-2020 So following todays announcement to the markets we are none the wiser as when cruises will start again. Seeing as the CDC is dragging it's feet I'm surprised that RC hasn't given some thought into following some of the Carnival brands and starting cruises round the Med or to the Canary Isles here in Europe.
  19. Hard to disagree with your logic, now if only RC had the same view
  20. Easier on a boat than a plane, I read today that someone died of Covid while on a flight, unbelievable that you'd get on a plane while unwell with Covid symptoms. I feel for the other passengers and those who tried to save him while the flight diverted https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/covid-passenger-died-united-flight-b1777949.html
  21. And as those of us in the UK know only to well anything our Government states a number of times has every chance of being changed at will https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-vaccine-and-testing-certificates-to-be-discussed-by-ministers-tomorrow-12215228
  22. http://crew-center.com/royal-caribbean-group-will-require-crew-members-get-covid-19-vaccine Is it only a matter of time before guests have to do the same?
  23. Does it cause an issue that many of the RCL offers state for US residents only, can those of us outside the US still benefit from the offers (they're always different to the offers we have in the UK).
  24. I can live with the wearing of masks inside the ship, but as others have said, sitting in 90 degree heat on an open deck, not so sure.
