Royal has No sailings out of Amsterdam in summer 2025. The deployment schedule was released last November for Europe. What you see is what's available.

Very disappointing for sure. Celebrity would be your best bet if you want to stay in the RCL family.

Sadly the whole 2025 Europe deployment is very disappointing, feels like Royal is only interested in short sailings to CocoCay

  2. Just listened to the latest webcast from Celebrity, in the Q&A session Laura Hodges Bethge was asked about updating the ships that missed their upgrades due to the pandemic. She confirmed they are looking at updating the Solstice class ships but was non committal re the Millennium class ships, stating they were nearer the end of their life. Sad as we love the smaller ships, we're hoping they don't follow Royal by building ever larger ships.

    I booked a cruise in November 2023.

    Final payment is August 2024.

Cruise date is 22 Oct 2024.

I phoned RC today (Feb) to re-price and was told that it was not possible as the original booking was made more than 48 hours ago.

Note that this was through Club Royale, as I had a $500 credit applied to that booking.  Even with the credit, the re-price would be cheaper, but I was told I would lose my deposit as well as my credit if I cancelled my booking and tried to re-book.

Just to add to the unforgettable experience of Club Royale, I asked about Air2Sea flight booking and they told me I did not qualify for this service as it wasn't something Club Royale can do.

I think you mentioned you're from the UK, sadly we can't reprice our cruises, unless we book them through a US travel agent 😞

That I do not know, but I doubt they offer anything precruise. They will probably offer a airport drip off the day of debarkation, but not if you are staying longer is my guess. This is only based on my experience with Royal

On our recent cruise from Barcelona they did offer a 3 night pre cruise stay, it was very expensive (in our opinion). Post cruise don't remember any overnight stays, just the usual airport drop off options.

Here's an article on the stop in Spain - Picked up the 10,000 plants for Central Park since Finland has such a different climate.  Used the dry dock for Azipod repairs, and updates to box coolers and sea chests.  (Whatever that means).

Bit concerning that it already needs repairs to one of it's Azipods

Yes, another Edge class.  The deck plans show cabins only at this point, so not sure what changes they are making in public spaces.  They are adding more Sky suites and celebrity suites, while reducing the number of veranda cabins, which is interesting.

Apparently they're reducing the number of infinate verandas and having more traditional veranda cabins, seem to remember the new CEO of Celebrity mentioned this in one of her webcasts.
