  1. But does "cut short" mean being put in quarantine? You're still, technically, on your cruise. Cut short could mean physically having to leave the ship.
  2. Since it's just the 2 of us now, we always have had our TA request a table for 2. Never a problem. But I'm sure you know that you'll probably still be sitting close to other tables. We were just on Vision last month in the MDR where 4 tables for 2 were next to each other, banquet seating on 1 side, individual chairs on the other with barely enough room between the tables to get through (had to shuffle in sideways). Luckily on 1 end, nobody showed so we could spread the 2 middle tables over for some more space. But we thoroughly enjoyed our "tablemates", had great conversations and even shared wine and champagne bottles with each other.
  3. We've been doing early dining in MDR and specialty dining (as early after opening as possible) for a while now. More convenient for us in how we plan our evenings. We've done late seating in MDR but that's just too late for us. We'd end up drinking more/longer during the day and wouldn't feel like eating a big meal so late. Also late dining made it harder for us to get late night pizza, snacks and dessert.
  4. Did Vision 2 weeks ago. @AshleyDillois correct. No Sorrento's but Park Cafe in the back corner of the Solarium has pizza. Not bad, didn't seem to have as crispy a crust as Sorrento's but serves a purpose. Not as many offerings either. That's also where you can get the kummelweck sandwich which was really good. Better than we've had on some of the Oasis class ships.
  5. Please cancel Independence 17-20 JUN 22. Medical reasons, not Covid. Thankfully able to use Cruise with Confidence and will rebook or upgrade our future cruises. Thanks.
  6. Sounds right, and I think, you would know. It seems friend #2 is playing a lot more than friend #1 and @Pattycruise.
  7. Diamond gets a $10 discount on that bag.
  8. This is the one we have. Amazon. Multiple cruises, no problems.
  9. Have a Johnny Rocket's near us, don't go to it. Not sure why we'd want to on a cruise either.
  10. Agree with everyone who says magnets for hanging things. Just make sure you get heavy duty ones And don't know if this is an exception but we just did Vision Owner's Suite and our walls weren't magnet friendly. Ours wouldn't stick. Ceiling worked and balcony ceiling beams also. Under the bed is another location that others have mentioned. May need to leave your suitcases open to fit but that gives you them available to put things in and have readily available.
  11. Extras to be safe is good. We haven't had any problems yet but with so many stories here of kit issues it relieves some of the stress with testing. Safe travels.
  12. How many tests are you going to take to verify your positive? You've just stated if your first comes up positive you'll take another, then another and another before saying "ok, I'm positive and then canceling my cruise." Will you keep testing until you get a negative result so you can go on your cruise?
  13. Go to the eMed website. 6 for $150 plus shipping.
  14. No to extension cord and I think no to the plug bar. Not sure about the plug extender. If it doesn't have a surge protector it should be ok. If you don't mind spending a little money, go to Amazon or Google and look for cruise approved plug outlets.
  15. Wait. What? Now we have to pay extra for cabin furniture?
  16. Not as many nights as you but we've never been charged corkage fee either. Did Vision 18 APR and MDR wait staff kept our bottles for us until we requested them on a couple of dinner nights
  17. I think you've answered your question yourself. And then you can tell us how much you enjoyed the UPS and Star Class!
  18. If that original payment method was onboard credit, that is immediately put back and available for use.
  19. As long as you're in the vicinity, it's not a problem. It doesn't take long to reboard the ship. More people do it than you'd think.
  20. We're 45 days out today. I was able to select a boarding time early, early this morning without having to do anything else as far as completing the check-in process. I'll do that later.
  21. We were on Vision last week and ours was a real time view on its own channel. But Vision did also have more channels than we could remember from other ships.
  22. On Vision, they had a paper bag, about the size of grocery store plastic bag but taller, $35 ($25 for Diamond) for as much as you could stuff in it. We were able to put 10 underwear, 6 bras, 6 tank tops, a couple of t-shirts and shorts into it with some room left over. Got it back in 2 days. They also do dress clothes but don't know the cost.
  23. Understand your frustration with FCC. Granted, we have a TA who helped us deal with all of them. We took our FCC's and turned them into a longer, upgraded cabin cruise, Vision 11 night Owner's Suite, and for this year an extra 3 night Owner's Suite on Independence we wouldn't have taken except for FCC.
