  1. As long as your 48 hours out you should just be able to cancel your cruise planner purchase. Would think that would open a slot at Chefs Table, unless they are running a wait list, you should be able to book it with your UDP
  2. I have some credited at over a year out from the sailing
  3. Effective March 10 2023 there is a new list - - As of that date the Welcome Beverage per person became 3 bottle of water, No other option The additional Bonus Amenities (per household) are now from the below lists
  4. Like at least a few here, I keep track of all my cruise associated costs in a spreadsheet. Data like Cost per Person; Cost per Person per Day; etc. Among the many calculations I track Cost per Cruise Point. I am happy to report that my lowest cost per point was $15.50 for 28 points, I also have a number in the $20 range. My most expensive point cost has been $653.71 I also have a number in the $400. and $500 ranges, a lot of those are suites. Total of 55 cruises and I'm averaging right around $200 per cruise point.
  5. So for this past weeks survey i captured some screen shots. posting below.
  6. Please DON'T be that person. Show up 5-10 minutes from the time listed when you board the ship.
  7. I think you have to type your email in at the Kiosk when purchasing on board. I always prefer the digital over the print version. When checking out I select the download and email option, you then have to type your email twice and add a phone number. About a week after cruise we get email with link. After that purchase I log back into the Kiosk and select the download header. It then gives me the photos.rccl. link to type into a browser. At web site you put in cabin number and a 4 character code given on the kiosk. This step can ONLY be done on board. If you did not enter your email and phone at the Kiosk you are most likely out of luck as they have no way to connect you. Hope the explanation helped for future reference
  8. Yes it seems they have moved early up at least 15 to 30 minutes on most of my cruises this year. Some of it seems so the can start accomidating MTD earlier
  9. Went away when the boarding day lunch resumed after Covid restrictions
  10. I would not count on being able to buy a UDP when you board, no matter what the phone rep said. Cancel the aqua show and book a 2nd UDP now. If nothing else you can go standby for the Aqua show , never seen them not let standby in
  11. As I've said before, I can understand a slight drop in food quality, but bad service is unforgivable. Unlike most I have not been experiencing the really bad experiences described in this and other threads. I do find the quality in Windjammer has dropped much more than in the MDR. What I occasionally (diamond + BOGO) experience in specialty restaurants has not changed
  12. I just have to say if I had even half the bad experiences the folks posting in this thread report, the Restaurant Operations Manager and I would be on a first name, come see me every night basis. So glad I have never had to experiance this on any Royal ship I've been on. BTW by the point mentioned above I'd also have met the Food and Beverage Director on that specific cruise, which actual happens on almost every cruise I go on.
  13. There's alway someone trying to point out the negatives I'm on my 12th cruise this year on 5 different ships. Yes the an occasional not great meal in the MDR, yes they are serving 3000+ a night not everything is like "cook to order" meals. Bad service, noticable unhappy employees, not willing to fix a meal you're unhappy with, NEVER. But that's JMHO YMMV depending on expectations
  14. that was my understanding of what you originally posted also.
  15. So on the final week of a b3b and the 2nd weeks survey had a new question that was not on the first weeks, not sure if it will be standard going forward, but will know in a week when i get my final survey. Question was: (may not be exact terms as already went on to next question before thinking I'd report on this) What other vacations did you consider before selecting this cruise? (a number of selections) - - local trip; Beach trip; Adventure park; other cruise line; All inclusive Resort the interesting thing is that if you selected Adventure park it populated an additional area where it listed places like Universal Studios; Walt Disney World; etc If you also checked the box for other cruise line it again listed selections to check for all the major lines Interesting that marketing is following up to this depth - now that I'm more prepare for the next survey if it re-appears, I'll take some screen shots and report back.
  16. Actually based on the 20 months shut down they are very understandable.
  17. I ask a lot of question of the senior managers I have been getting to know, I could be wrong but my understanding is. The reason they ask and notate your room number is those dining pool gratuity portions are either re-allocated to that resturant or used to determine the larger % of the pool that the specific resturants workers get. This seems to apply, whether it be CK, Johnnie Rockets breakfast, specialty resturants, pinnacle breakfast. Now I don't know the exact splits, but I do know that employees at the special eating venues do not rotate like or with those in the MDR and Windjammer, they are allowed to stay as long as they want barring any problems. I have also been directly told their percentage is higher than that of MDR waiters. So bottom line is as long as your paying your daily gratuities and specialty resturants 18% you are covered. Tips should then be for exceptional service above or beyond what is expected.
  18. But there is sometimes a delay for checkin to become avalible on the app I can usually complete on the web site before it show up in the App
  19. It is so so very easy now and I always here the announcement "We can not Sail until everyone..." Saw this on someone's door early the morning after we sailed this week.
  20. Yes - - well at least they have always given it to me for my 150% Solo sailings <= 5 days $50 6-13 days $100 >= 14 days $250
  21. @Bowen didn't you have a manual passport check when disembarking because they couldn't get the Facial Recognition system forking on Sunday causing the delay disembarking.
  22. Just an FYI last week at the new Galveston terminal for the first time I remember this year they were not laying anyone that did not have first boarding time of 11 to even enter the serpentine line outside before opening. I belive that after boarding started a little after 11, once the terminal waiting area cleared and people were walking directly on board the were not as strict. So seems you're better off arriving close to your checkin time
