  1. Actually, from what I have read, if it was recorded as an arrest, say for a DUI even if charges were dropped or dismissed, as long as it shows up in the database they are looking at Canada will deny you entry. Same applies to records that have been expunged, as they truly never actually get pulled/removed from the original database, they are just marked. Canada can be very tricky especially with old DUI's. How they get the information leaves me wondering
  2. It's a shame to, as San Juan is a great winter port of departure. Easy to do a 7 day Southern Itinerary. Problem now is the tiny ships just don't cut it. Get Freedom back there.
  3. What a waste of a nice new ship to use it on 3 and 4 night cruises where it is going to get constantly abused by those that sail it. Just my opinion, but doesn't look like a good business decision from my perspective.
  4. If it was truly a "Biometric" Passport you would not need the physical copy to return to the USA. That is what I mean, why do i need something "physical" if you can determine I am who I am through "Biometrics"
  5. time for the US to step up with Biometric Passports, then you will "Never Leave Home Without It"
  6. looks like your trip is 1.4 cents per award point if used now - - value in most options is 1.5 cents but the range is 1.4 to 1.7 generally. I also tend to use them when I have enough for an award flight unless I am trying to save up for a specific planned future flight.
  7. Good for you! You obviously know you attract more bees with honey. I truly hope you enjoy your cruise.
  8. I belive all plants on the ship must be approved by USDA for any ship that port stops in USA. From talking with the on-board horticulturist it I quite a process to get a new varity of plant approved
  9. that is correct 5 day and longer cruises only. Lunch is usually pretty decent menu in my opinion, generally 3 entre options.
  10. Yes the port was able to convert one of the warehouses next to pier 14, outlined in Red on picture When they first opened it around March or April of this year you could not find much about on their web site, haven't looked lately though, and you have to take the Port's shuttle from all of Pier 14 parking I believe, they will not let you walk to the Terminal
  11. I like to check out what each bar has in the form of various liqueurs and I don't ever remember seeing either form of Chartreuse.
  12. In that case I use Michelle at MEI, and she just sent me $400 price drop on a future cruise. What I like is I send an email and it happens. She did a great job with getting all the Covid FCC straightened out. For me it's not All price, but impeccable service, which is what I get
  13. Don't forget September I'm watching for these also
  14. I also do long pants no problem (about 6 times so far) Personally I've ever only lost one pair of men's underwear and that pair was due to be lost soon any way Again I never send expensive dress or delicate, mostly cotton t-shirts gym shorts, khakis shorts and long, underwear, socks Great benifit for my b2b2b cruises
  15. Thanks I have yet to ask photographers a similar question. I do know a lot of bartenders And Of course I interigate every room steward I come in contact with on a regular basis even the one down the hall that sees me regular. Have met photographers that I both like and take good pics. Problem is as I only take the free one. But if they get credit for each Pic I'll visit with those i know and like more, even if not dressed for a Pic I'll select Will also talk shop with them a little more going forward Thanks for info
  16. Not same experience here, 11 weeks this year, 5 different ships, food might not be 5 star, but it is still good, occasionally a meal is sub par but not regularly.
  17. Never could understand why Royal does allow this I put a statement on every survey I do "Gratuities" should have it's name changed to "Service Charge" and be made MANDATORY!! How that for stirring the pot
  18. I see I'm not the only one that says it is a Burrito not Enchilada. Could use more of the red "Ranchero" sauce, but I still like it also.
  19. Had a similar experiance, came back on board from Cozumel after my shower, going to dinner I thought, need to turn Wifi on (turn it off on land to conserve battery from endless searching) noticed phone was not in Airplane mode. I set to Airplane at sail away and dont take it out until debarkation. Watched the bill like a hawk that month, got lucky.
  20. As long as your 48 hours out you should just be able to cancel your cruise planner purchase. Would think that would open a slot at Chefs Table, unless they are running a wait list, you should be able to book it with your UDP
  21. I have some credited at over a year out from the sailing
  22. Effective March 10 2023 there is a new list - - As of that date the Welcome Beverage per person became 3 bottle of water, No other option The additional Bonus Amenities (per household) are now from the below lists
  23. Like at least a few here, I keep track of all my cruise associated costs in a spreadsheet. Data like Cost per Person; Cost per Person per Day; etc. Among the many calculations I track Cost per Cruise Point. I am happy to report that my lowest cost per point was $15.50 for 28 points, I also have a number in the $20 range. My most expensive point cost has been $653.71 I also have a number in the $400. and $500 ranges, a lot of those are suites. Total of 55 cruises and I'm averaging right around $200 per cruise point.
