  1. Just odd that all their other ships score between 3.5 and 4 but three of the four Qunatum class only score 3 .
  2. All three ships are only 3 out of 5 on the reviews on Cruise Critic, I havent been on Quantum class so cant comment, why would they have such low scores?
  3. Doesnt really bother us as in intimidate us , its just very annoying. It cant be any worse than North Africa, thought I was going to come to blows with a taxi driver in Egypt who was adamant we were going to his friends shop before a restaurant he was taking us to.
  4. Randomly came across some reviews of Labadee on Trip advisor, lots of negatives about the market type stalls that are set back from the main Artisan Market. Really pushy and aggressive sellers physically dragging people (mainly women from what I read) into their stores not taking no for an answer. Has anyone experienced this? To be honest if its like that I’ll give it a wide berth as I will end up being less than polite.
  5. Great thank you, could you get the Carpaccio brought to the MDR, or anything else of the Chops menu?
  6. Just to add, we have done two RC cruises before and didnt know this, I only found out recently on here, you can order more than one starter or desert if you like in the MDR and speciality restaurants. We are on Adenture of the seas in October and am defiantley going to be ordering the Carpaccio and Black Pepper Bacon in chops ?
  7. Crazy to think, even conservatively the extra 60 rooms will generate an additional $120,000 in revenue per week in room sales alone.
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend us a nice beach on either of these islands. Ideally a quiet one with not much going on. On our first cruise back in 2004 (we have only been on 3 in total) we got off the ship in I think it was Antigua and jumped in a little mini van he took us to a beach right on the other side of the island which had couple of hotels set back, a little bar/beach shack which had no electricity, they kept the beers/drinks cool in old ice cream fridges that were filled with ice and some lads hiring out some really high powered jet bikes. It was such a good day. Hardly any other tourists there. Anyone know of any other hidden gems?
  9. Thanks, i'll have a look at that MEI. Now you have said that the American site does state the price does not include taxes or fees, so will actually be more than the quoted price, but still cheaper I guess.
  10. It is my mother in laws 60th birthday in March 2021, so was having a look at cruises yesterday. On the UK RC site there was a 7 nigth Oasis sailing on the 28th March 2021 out of Fort Lauderdale (this is the start of the two week school easter break in the UK), it is coming out at £1050.00 pp, had a look on a site www.vacationstogo.com which is an American cruise site, the very same cruise £636 pp plus a $50 on board credit. For the wife and I and the two kids thats a £1656 difference, surely that cant be right?
  11. We have only done Jewel and Allure in the past, Jewel prior to having kids and I think we used the MDR most nights then. I prefer breakfast in the MDR, much more civilised and stops me going completly over the top on the amount of food I put away ?
  12. On our upcoming 8 night cruise on Adventure we have booked the 3 night dining plan at £51.00 which we thought was a really good price, we are planning to do Chops twice and Giovanni’s once. We are definitely going to do the first formal night in the MDR, but after that will probably just see what happens, we have a 5 year old and a 9 year old and our dining time is 8.30pm I really cant see them wanting to eat at that time going on until 10pm. If they are happy to go in the kids club we will probably use the MDR more but if not I could probably only see us going in once or twice for dinner.
  13. We are going to take ours on the first day when we go in October, im not sure if they will want to stay though. They are 5 and 9 and are always a little apprehensive to go in kids clubs initially but end up loving them, but being in different age groups im not sure if they will actually want to go in.
  14. We are flying in a few days before our cruise, I priced up a mini bus for 11 of us from the airport to hotel, hotel to port, port to airport, it was £650 ($800), ive roughly priced Ubers and it will be about $300 in total for all of us, so Ubers it is going to be.
  15. Thats the lesson one isnt it? so £262 is about $320 so i would assume you could have up to six on that just without an instructor?
  16. The private Flowrider 1 hour session is showing on our planner priced at £262.20 per adult, there is 6 adults in our group who would like to do this, surely it would not £1573.20? Would we not just book one session and all six of us could just go on?
  17. Just looking at the deck plans on Royals website for Adventure, are these places still on the ship? Just dont think I have seen mention of them before?
  18. Hi All, We have been allocated the 8.30pm dining time for our October sailing on Adventure, we are a family of 11 including my two little girls who are 6 and 9. It is an 8 night sailing and we have booked the 3 night dining package so will be only eating in the MDR 5 nights max, maybe less if we use the Windjammer once or twice but my question is would it be possible to change the time from 8.30pm and if so how? Im thinking 8.30pm is going to be too late for especially the 6 year old to eat. Depending on how the take to Adventure ocean kids club we did think we could feed them them first somewhere and then go to the MDR while they went in the kids club for a couple of hours but if they dont take to it they are going to be a pain by 10 -10.30 pm by the time we have finised dinner and if thats the case, my wife and I and the two kids probabaly wont use the MDR, we'll just eat in the Windjammer earlier
  19. We are 9 weeks out from flying to Miami for a few nights pre cruise on Adventure, it has been booked since last October and I have been boring my wife with information ever since haha. Whenever we go anywhere I research and look into everything in as much detail as possible were as she just books it then turns up on the day ?
  20. 10-12 times a year ? seriously jealous.
  21. Bit of both, on our next one we had it included in the cost (UK Offer) but would still buy it as we are pretty heavy drinkers and would defiantely work out cheaper.
  22. I have a couple of suits but thought I might get myself a dinner suit, push the "boat" out ?
