  1. That's cool, never noticed that. (tested against Anthem and Navigator bookings in Sept 2019)
  2. we head out in 30 days ? Hoping to be able to add to the blog section here some and do a little periscoping.
  3. You may not see it yet. Look under the 'Dining' then scroll to the bottom. Once you get settled in your GS, take a stroll up to the CK and check it out. Introduce yourself to the host staff there and let them know if there are any specific days/times you want to have a reservation. It's a great benefit.
  4. It will vary depending on ship and other things happening at the port. But, you might expect to be able to disembark between 7am - 10am. You should get a flyer in your room once you board - or hit up guest services. You may also be able to put your name on a list for a specific time. If you haven't left for your cruise yet, then that might be the first stop you want to take - see guest services to go ahead and get your name on the list for a specific spot, if available.
  5. Also to note that formal nights are not required ? just a fun experience to get all jazzed up if you want.
  6. You Fitbit should be connected via Bluetooth to your phone. That doesn't require an internet. As long as you don't turn off Bluetooth, you should be good.
  7. i posted below with the ships that currently have the Coastal Kitchen. On those ships, JR and above get access - with the JR suite getting dinner only access. If you cruise in the future on one of these ships, it's definitely worth shooting for if it's in the budget ? have a great cruise on Adventure
  8. Just putting the list out here for future reference for anyone ? Coastal Kitchen available on the follow ship (know as of summer 2018 - if there are others, please add them) Anthem / Allure / Harmony / Oasis / Ovation / Quantum / Symphony
  9. Every cruiser will need their own beverage package (if you decide to purchase one) The Classic Soda is usually a few bucks cheaper if you buy it BEFORE you get on the cruise. If you are getting the soda package for the kids, then they need their own. ($10/day x 7 = $70ish per kid for the cruise). The refreshment / and deluxe includes sodas already, it just adds to ability to get more types of drinks for the adults. We are 32 days from our cruise and here's our current pricing offer (they adjust a lot with deals - depends on the cruise)
  10. Ok, i'll have to +1 to @Lovetocruise2002's post to GET A SUITE - lol. If you get the 'right' kind of suite, a lot of the other perks come with it - especially if you get a STAR class suite. (you even get your own person genie). With the suite - you get access to the Coastal Kitchen which is by far my favorite benefit of the suites #teamCK , as @Lovetocruise2002 likes to say. Compare upgrading to a suite with how much you'll spend on different packages and look at the price difference. You might find for just a little more that the suite would be well worth it. (WARNING - Star Class suites are #addictive. Once you go SC - you'll always want to do SC) ?
  11. @Andrew72681 So glad I'm not the only one with something like this hahah
  12. I'll add to @Matt information above. The Coastal Kitchen will be open for embarkation day, that's the first place we go to meet the staff. And, if you have any reservations for specific times - you book those at that time, just to be safe. The sun deck should be good to go for suites - however, I'm not sure there is a dedicated bar up there - there was on the Oasis. If not, you may want to make sure to bring any beverages / snacks with you. You may have to keep checking the cruise planner to see when the signature activities are available. If you have problems, you MIGHT get lucky if you make friends with the host in the coastal kitchen to help figure out how to get some reservations ?
  13. Once it's available, you'll see it on your cruise planner under Internet & More. Scroll all the way to the bottom and then you'll see:
  14. @karl_nj, yeah it's not worth the time / hassle to try and figure out what / how / when / etc to qualify for some type of cruise benefit - so, I just hold my position and wait for the small little quarterly dividend to come in. At some point, that'll start to turn into my OBC, when I retire ?
  15. Tell your DH to just swing by JR's before getting on the cruise and stockup on some extra burgers and fries to sneak on board - ?
  16. Like @KristiZ said, this is totally fine but do it as soon as you get on board. Also, please keep in mind to be nice ? the staff will work hard to make the arrangements that fit your needs, but they will also be dealing with others who may be trying to do the same thing who may not be as friendly. The nicer you are to the staff the more enjoyable your experience with them will be. Have a great cruise!
  17. very cool - now for them to just roll it out to the rest of the fleet #ComeOnMan
  18. we had soy milk available on our last Oasis cruise, but they ran out it seems within the first day or so ... good luck have a great cruise!
  19. have a great cruise! let us know if the app works by itself or you still have to present some paperwork
  20. I saw that also, but didn't see anything available. I think there might be an option to view the digital if your cruise is available for electronic check-in. Take a read through here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2018/08/15/royal-caribbean-provides-smart-phone-app-and-online-check-feature-updates
  21. Keep in mind that you will only need to purchase the package for the room - not per person ? The other thing, the company that runs the photos is 'Our Cruise Photos' found at www.ourcruisephotos.com ... they state on their site that you will only be able to purchase your photos on board because of the whole 'duty-free'.
  22. You might get lucky and have both of ya'll be able to board with the water, since ya'll won't be together. I doubt that they have an electronic check where they 'record' how much water someone bring for what room ?
  23. As long as you are repricing your existing cruise / itinerary, then there should not be a charge for the change - however, if you swap ships or itineraries, then you may get hit with a penalty. The thing with repricing is to make sure you are frequently checking the site to see if there are any pricing changes, and then hit up your TA to have the change made - or call RC if you booked directly through them. The repricing is up to you to watch for ?
  24. Formal attire is not required. We stopped playing the formal attire stuff years ago.
  25. Unfortunately, like mentioned in previous posts - the shareholder benefit has become about useless for actual cruises. Therefore, my investment I've been holding RCL has ONLY been to get the dividend. Oh, and you have to hold 100 or more shares in order to actually 'qualify' for anything they offer - but the deals on the site or even through the casino ? are much better. Glad to see it jump today, though.
