  1. Has anyone seen the Cruise Compasses from the inaugural sailing posted anywhere? We are on the March 9 sailing and trying to plan. Thanks.
  2. We are on this cruise as well (me, my wife, 17 yo son). We are looking to book a trip to the glacier in Olden and one of the train tours in Flam. Not sure that we have go-to excursions in Stavenger or Haugesund as there aren’t many options. Probably will do the fjord boat tour in Stavenger and a best-of Haugesund tour I found on Viator. We had never been to Europe til June 2023 and this will be our third trip to London in a year! We will be limited on time so probably will just stay at Heathrow the night before the cruise but there’s a lot to see. We LOVE staying around Trafalgar Square because so much is close by. Take the Tube from the area to the Tower of London, walk to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly and Leicester Squares. There are also tours either before (through private companies) or after (through Royal) to Stonehenge and/or Windsor.
  3. Has anyone been to Nassau lately and noticed if the ferries to Paradise Island are up and going again? As of our last trip in September 2021 they weren't but hoped maybe they have restarted in the interim.
  4. Shame they couldn’t stop at Coco Cay again. That’s an awful lot of sea days.
  5. I’m almost positive people went without masks in the Solarium. We were only in there briefly and kept our masks on but seem to recall others had them off.
  6. Just sailed on Odyssey over Thanksgiving. Interested to hear what, if anything, happens. Thanks for the info and please post any updates.
  7. We will achieve Diamond status after our next cruise in November and have two more cruises planned for next spring. I was wondering if our 14 year old son, who is enrolled in C & A, will receive 4 (non alcoholic) drinks per day or is the drink benefit only for adults?
  8. We put in a bid for a suite on our upcoming cruise. It appears that most seem to find out if their RoyalUp bid is accepted about 2 days prior to sailing. We have purchased Zoom separately and I was wondering if they let you cancel it onboard if your bid for a suite, which includes Zoom, goes through? It doesn’t sound as if there will be time to cancel it in the planner before it closes pre-cruise otherwise.
  9. Really surprised to hear that. We were there yesterday on Freedom with Mariner in port and chairs on most of the beaches seemed pretty much full and the island felt anything but deserted. Pool and floating bar were packed. Dining didn’t seem that busy though.
  10. Arrived to the terminal early so waited to come down til our 3 pm boarding time and were greeted by this. So much for organized. And, no, it isn’t moving.
  11. It seems as if cabana pricing for anything outside of Coco Beach Club is around the $900 mark, at least for all the cruises I have booked. Does Royal ever discount them after the cruise starts or on the day you visit Coco Cay?
  12. We ha e the Evian water package currently but those are 2 liter (?) bottles delivered to your room so not helpful at mealtime. Spoiled by the deluxe drink package on Celebrity which included the Evian.
  13. I was wondering if Evian is covered in the Refreshment package? I can find some older posts that are contradictory so wondered if anyone had any recent experience. Thanks!
  14. We will be going to Bonaire this sori g and I was wondering if RC uses the north or south pier? Trying to do some planning and it would be helpful to know though they appear to be pretty close to each other. Thanks.
  15. We canceled a cruise a few days ago and now want to book a different sailing. The first cruise was booked with a non-refundable fare so we are due back about $450 following the $300 cancelation fee ($100 per person). I was wondering how long others have had to wait for their vouchure code to arrive?
  16. W really liked Tabyana in Roatan although there is no open bar - all drinks are ala carte. The food was typical grilled items - burgers, hot dogs, chicken -which were included and we thought were good. I know Matt has an article about the Mayan Princess, which is right down the beach from Tabyana, which is all inclusive. We liked Tabyana because the beach seating was more expansive than at the Mayan Princess and there is “security” which prevents the numerous beach vendors from bothering you unless you choose to engage them. The highlight of my entire cruise was watching the vendors go by and seeing what they were selling.
  17. The prices for the Chill Island and Oasis Lagoon cabanas were ~$499 just before Memorial Day then we’re both sold out for our Thanksgiving Cruise on Harmony. Now the Chill Island is back at $1299 and I check every day to see if it will drop. I was on the fence about booking it at the lower price but won’t pay anywhere near what they’re asking. I’m hoping Coco beach club will open a bit early and we will just pay to access that (without a cabana).
  18. If you could pass on the Cruise Compasses to Matt to post for your Western itinerary, I’d be most appreciative. Trying to plan entertainment and dining for our November Harmony cruise and there aren’t yet any posted CC for that itinerary out of Port Canaveral.
  19. Eden Rock would be a terrific choice. It is located to the right of where the tenders dock and s only a few blocks away on the downtown waterfront. It’s a blue building that you should easily see as you tender in. Very good diving and helpful staff. Not sure if they could arrange a buddy, though. In general, Grand Cayman is very safe so I wouldn’t have any reservations about walking there yourself. It’s a short walk and they’ll be a lot of cruisers in the same area.
  20. No review but I did walk bay the resort where it takes place - seemed really nice.
  21. We have snorkeled in many Caribbean islands and my wife said the area right in front of Tabyana was one of the best she'd have ever seen
