As of today, 5/8/16 the Tidal Wave was cut off and removed from the Liberty to be re designed and brought back at a later date -
DoclC, if you want to save some money, you can park at EZ Cruise parking for about $48.00 for the week. Put in the code and get $20.00 off if you pre pay online. Drop family and luggage off at terminal, park car and walk the short walk back. 10 minute walk.

How long does it take for cruise credits to hit?
sulross replied to pug198's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Usually if the cruise ends Sunday, my points show up on "My Cruises" by 10:00 pm the next Friday evening. But as Jticarruthers mentioned the Loyalty person can get the latest figures right away. Make sure you talk to the Loyalty person the day you get on the first cruise and tell them your situation and they can have the days already figured by the next cruise. -
Liberty of the Seas Suite Benefits
sulross replied to krysmith27's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Let me know if you have any questions on the Liberty. We have been on 10 times since we brought it from New Jersey to Galveston in November. 4 before dry dock and 6 after. I may not know prices of alcohol packages and such, as I do not drink, but know the layout of the ship and other things if you need any help. -
Can't forget my roots Matt. I was diamond plus for 7 years.

New VOOM Packages - Cruise Planner - Liberty
sulross replied to raprice18's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
As of today,Voom is not on the Liberty. It is scheduled to be installed in May. It will not be the full version of Voom, but a slightly lessor version. Supposedly the signal is stronger on the east coast and gets weaker further west. But, it will be many times better than what we are used to. -
That was according to the Hotel Director on the Liberty. Something about the positioning of the satellites giving a stronger signal on the east coast than they do the further west you go. I am just the messenger. But either way it will be better than what we usually get, I am hoping. Will find out in July when we go again.

I give $3 to $5 when getting on the ship as all I do is stop, give bags to porter and go on. Getting off the ship I give a little more as they pick our bags from floor, put on cart and get us near the front of the customs line, so like that part.
-
At this time Liberty has no Voom. They are planning on getting it sometime in May, but will not be the full version of Voom, but will still be much faster than usual cruise speed.
-
When you get on the ship, go to Guest Services and ask for a sea pass card that says "Extra Key". It will not be good for charges or getting off the ship, just to get into the second room. You can each get one.

Liberty's Tidal Wave rumored to be operational today
sulross replied to Wilson's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
It was pretty good. Received our Gold Cards on Wednesday afternoon, at the Top Tier event on Thursday evening we were presented with a certificate, champagne, crystal block and a model ship that had many friends and crew signatures (provided by friends) on it. Some pictures provided of the event. That evening after the Diamond lounge closed we had about 50 friends and crew give us a nice party. On Friday we were taken to Chops by some crew. It was a very nice week. -

Liberty of the Seas - Boomerang slide
sulross replied to MWKimel's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Waaaytooo, I make Pinnacle next week on the Liberty. Since dry dock, when the Liberty went back into service on 2/7/16 they have had a new Suite lounge up on deck 14 where the card room use to be. Diamond Plus, Pinnacles and suite guests were allowed in. Starting this past Sunday, 4/3/16 only Pinnacles and suite guests are allowed. Diamond Plus can only go into the Diamond lounge. This is the new plan. At one point there were 4 people in the Suite lounge and the Diamond lounge was full. Many of the 9 pinnacles on board were in the Diamond lounge where most of their friends were. There is only drinks of any kind served during happy hour, 4:30 to 8:00 and not from 11:00 to 11:00 -

I am currently on the Liberty and the earliest for the boomerang will be mid May. They are going to install an exrta hump to take some speed off to help prevent collisions st the end. -
crown and anchor benefits for pre-gold
sulross replied to lhm0204's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You are not Gold until you complete your first cruise. They are just calling you pre gold since you registered, but you are not gold yet. Your paperwork is correct in not calling you anything yet with crown and anchor since you have not obtained any level yet. After your first cruise is complete, when you book your second cruise your paperwork should say Gold. -
crown and anchor benefits for pre-gold

I don't think you get anything as gold. I think the check in lines start with platinum. -
In this case separate cabins were cheaper. About 5 times we have had separate cabins as they were $500.00 to $1500.00 (total for two cabins) cheaper than a Jr. Suite. And you get double amenities. You do need to have more than 340 points to pay 1 1/2 times for the cabin and not double for a single. When you are making the push for Pinnacle you try and find all the creative ways to sail less expensive to get those double points. Two of the five times the rooms were adjoining which makes it better. We just did four of them this past February and March. Make Pinnacle in three weeks, so no more separate cabins and probably no more Jr. Suites. Ocean view or balcony, does not matter any more .
-
A couple of weeks ago the wife and I had separate cabins (to get the double points) that were close, but not adjoining and we had a separate card that stated extra key for getting into the other cabin. It works well and is easy to acquire at guest services.

Liberty's Tidal Wave rumored to be operational today
sulross replied to Wilson's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
It is more than a padding issue. It is a water pressure issue. Control it for a 80 pound kid and a 300 pound man. They have not figured out how to do that yet. -
Hello all. We are Bill and Denise from Spring, Tx. We started cruising in 2003 doing the 1 to 2 per year. When we retired the number picked up quite a lot. We mainly cruise out of Galveston. We have done 5 crossing, Panama Canal twice and Alaska twice. This coming April 10th, 2016 we finally reach the Pinnacle level with Royal. Now we can choose other destinations and really enjoy the sites and other ships. Glad to meet you all
