Yes, I agree. At this point it seems to be ship/port dependent. After Odyssey 12/31/23, my next two (January 2024/March 2024) sail out of Terminal A in Miami so we'll see if the 10:30am slot is back for those ones.

I was up at midnight for my Anthem on Dec 17th and got 10:30. I expected 10 based on the fact that this itinerary leaves port earlier than many in FL. Oh well. Just interesting to see this thread so I know what to expect on my future cruises. I have a Wonder and Odyssey in 2024.

As a follow up note, the ship may not open the stores or casino after Victoria since it stays in territorial water overnight. Don't leave last minute photo, retail or casino transactions to the last night.

Thank you, Patty and Adp! We are looking forward to having more space. 😀 We are directly across the hall from each other, but RCCL has told me they cannot officially book the two minors in the room across the hall since they aren't directly connecting. This is contrary to what it says on their website, but that's a problem to try to deal with a different day. It's good to know we can get an extra key, as that was one of my bigger concerns with the two rooms.

Are you right next to each other or right across from each other? I ask because I just recently went on a cruise last June with balcony rooms right next to each other (not connecting), but my minor daughters (17,15) were registered in 1 room and my husband and I the other. You can do that only if the minors are right next to your cabin or right across. We did not get multiple key cards, but in our case (Oasis) we were able to go back and forth via the balcony. We had the room steward open the divider and even if the balcony door is "locked" (not the kid safety lock) you could come right on in!
I am the only 1 with the app so I just linked the 2 reservations together in the app and I was able to check all 4 of us on board. And make show reservations too. We all ate at the same table. I told the travel agent to have us at same table for early seating.
We also communicated via texting. We had internet plan, but I think if you all have iphones ,imessage works without the plan. I also read if you all have the app you can now text amongst each other, but we have not done that.
Good luck and enjoy the extra space and bathroom!

Adpcruise1 got a reaction from TessFromFlorida in Compare travel agents?
I used BJs Travel for a few cruises and when our Christmas cruise was missed thanks to Southwest's flight fiascos, I realized I don't care for 3% back in BJ card or whatever they are promising. It was the worst experience of my life. I had to call BJs and wait on hold while they called Royal. Some BJ assistants couldn't figure out how to pay for my children's cabins for this summer's cruise (who were right next to ours). Hours and hours of time spent. And I had travel insurance and had to deal with that separately, so my patience level for "being on hold" was sorely tested.
I finally had a successful cruise in April and I'm still waiting for that BJ card. Though I was told it would be 5-9 weeks after cruise to get it.
My old TA passed away during COVID (not from COVID) and her replacements were not as sharp. Sigh.

Adpcruise1 reacted to brycemo in Every Activity on Every Ship - Listed
So, a while ago, while roaming the internet, I stumbled across this awesome list of which activities were on which ships throughout the Royal Caribbean fleet. It was perfect! Maybe I lost it, maybe it was taken down, but I couldn't find it any longer. So I set out to make my own. After going through every deck of every Royal Caribbean ship's deck plans, I noted everything I could find onboard. Bars, dining, entertainment, I listed it all. Here is the result:
View in full screen
I find it incredibly useful and I thought that I'd put it here because you all might like to use it too. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think.
Disclaimers:
This is my own creation and all information used is from https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/deck-plans (unless otherwise referenced) Therefore, there may be certain inaccuracies because of either certain things missing on the deck plans, or me missing something out If this is the case, please feel free to let me know and I will update it to reflect these. As said, I have not been on all these ships so do not have first hand experience for all these venues and activities, so please do let me know of any errors I may have made. It is quite large so it may take a moment to load, and you will need to zoom out. I intend to update it as new ships debut, or as ships get refurbished/amplified so it is hopefully always an up to date reference point. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy!

I took a few minutes to see when the upcoming dry docks are scheduled and this is what I found.
With the below take into account some days will be taken up getting the ship to and from dry dock ports and to and from the USA - Europe region .
Oasis of the Seas 2019 - It appears her final voyage before dry dock is a Western med that leaves 15th September 2019, dry dock seems to be 22nd September with her first voyage back over the pond being November 24th
Voyager of the Seas 2019 It appears her final voyage before dry dock is Hong Kong to Singapore that leaves 3rd September 2019, dry dock seems to be 10th September till 21st October 2019
Allure of the seas 2020 - It appears her final voyage before dry dock is a transatlantic that leaves 1st March 2020, dry dock seems to be 13th march till 10th may.
Explorer of the Seas 2020 - It appears her final voyage before dry dock is a Southern Caribbean that leaves 21st February 2020, dry dock seems to be 1st March till 7th may for her European season.
Freedom of the Seas 2020 It appears her final voyage before dry dock is a Southern Caribbean that leaves 5th January 2020, dry dock seems to be 12th January till 8th March.
Adventure of the Seas 2021 - The schedule are not out yet beyond April 2021 with no sign of dry dock in those first 4 months

Their non-vegetarian Indian selections off the nonpublished menu are really good. Ask your server what's on the menu for the next evening. My favorite was Butter Chicken. They aren't afraid to add spice. And if a couple of people order they'll serve it family style.
It's not a special order, but a compromise fleetwide. Our headwaiter said that cruising was becoming popular among the middle class in India, but Western food was unpopular - resulting in a lot of special requests every night. Royal countered with an unpublished menu with a vegetarian and a meat-based Indian entree and traditional side dishes nightly, with entrees varying from the different states of India. Anyone can order if they give 24 hours notice, or you can opt in for the entire cruise.

Adpcruise1 got a reaction from SpeedNoodles in Black Friday sales....what can I expect?
Hi,
I’ve been lucky with the Black Friday sales. Got Chops dinner for $33.60 per person. Haven’t seen a price that low since. Also got decent excursion prices, but recently have seen some of those same prices. I sail in July of this year.
Good luck!
