Hagar got a reaction from _Quinn_ in Military rate Plus discounts?
The only time I was asked for my DD-214 at the pier, I swear I could have just as easily have handed the rep an old "E-ticket" from Disneyland 🙈

Canned and "Dasani"? Double yuck

Hagar reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Casino Royale admitted not sending monthly offers for cruises already booked.
Even if you have already booked a cruise without using a casino offer, if the offer hasn't expired, you can still have the cruise repriced using the offer. If the offer has expired I'm sure they would not honor it.
I haven't received a spontaneous casino offer since we moved from VA to FL (almost a year ago). Every once in a while I will call and they will give me a list of crappy offers and promise that the "monthies" will resume automatically but they never have. Since I'm not booking any new cruises anyway I have just quit worrying about it.
I will totally agree with you on one thing....Club Royale has a for-sh*t system for getting promos and offers out, but it's no worse than any of Royal's IT programs....which isn't saying much.

Hagar got a reaction from bryresangel in Candy for Crew
We just brought individually packaged Halloween gummies on the October 9th run of the Symphony. Didn't want to risk chocolate since we flew in from the left coast but I can imagine that chocolate would have kicked it up a notch!

lol... I don't think you're crazy! There are a few things that I am certain of; they are:
1. Death 2. Taxes AND 3. Royal Caribbean's website is Gremlin Central Station

Hagar got a reaction from AHollyS in Fitness Center help
Spinning was $20 per session on Symphony.
Even though I was paying for everything on this run, dear wife didn't want to cheat on her Peloton back home

Hagar got a reaction from Cruisegirl1976 in De-embarkation in Florida question
Self assist in Miami was a piece of cake for us on 10-16 (Symphony). Facial recognition for customs worked well too.

Hagar got a reaction from Jim D in Fitness Center help
Symphony two weeks ago-masks off for everyone using the equipment once we walked into the actual fitness center (no reservations needed).
We didn't take an actual class but we did go 5 of the 7 "daze"

Hagar got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Crown & Anchor points
C&A rep was surprised to see the thousand point disparity between DW and I. She did ask permission to address the elephant in the room though. Not awkward at all from my viewpoint....DW dislikes cruising just as much as I love it!
She did just join me on Symphony last week but it was her first run since Harmony crossed the t/a for the famous "3 sisters" shot in 2016.

Hagar reacted to BeachGal in Additional Tipping for stateroom attendant and Dining room staff
Having worked my way through college in jobs that depended on tips, I always make sure I give extra. My room attendant always gets at least $50 (and usually a sweet treat on day 1). I tip for drinks as I go, and my dining attendants/assistants are given an envelope on the last night ($20/$10 per person in our party). Anyone else who takes care of me I also tip. i had a bartender on Oasis that we hung out with quite a bit because he made amazing martinis. Those martinis were definitely worth the extra $$. I love handing out the envelopes on the last night and giving a personal thank you to each person.

Hagar got a reaction from CruisingOz in Back to back cruise checkin
B2B used to be a piece of cake but feedback this month has been pretty good. We didn't do it on Symphony last week but I did look at the info provided to B2B passengers. Seemed like they had "it" together 😷

I was SO glad to be back onboard (just shy of 2 full years without a cruise fix) that I was more generous on this run than on any previous cruises.

Hagar reacted to BrianAlt in Anyone fly into La Guardia for a Port Liberty, NJ port of departure?
I wouldn't do it. A limo will cost you around $200-250, maybe more. The cost plus the inconvenience isn't worth it in my opinion. Fly into Newark. Trust me, even if it's a bit more and not a preferred airline, you'll be happier.

Hagar got a reaction from BrianAlt in Anyone fly into La Guardia for a Port Liberty, NJ port of departure?
Pre-Covid, my flight was scheduled to arrive in EWR but was diverted to LGA. Traffic jams and bad info almost made me miss the ship. Shuddering even while thinking about it 😬

Why are you ordering explosive devices? I know Chicago is rough these days but come on now, let's at least be civil.

Hagar got a reaction from bryresangel in Recent Cruises
Just off Symphony on the 16th and crew numbers supposedly surpassed passenger count. Coastal Kitchen well used for dinner (since they honored so many Royal Up bids). Everything else seemed smooth and efficient to us. Like so many posters we can't say enough good things about the dynamic crew!
