  1. We flew in and out of PBI earlier this summer (at the height of the airline nonsense) from EWR We were delayed both ways but I blame that more on EWR than PBI. Although the gate agents did tell us that PBI/FLL/MIA all share the same airspace/ATC so if things are delayed to one of them they would have likely been delayed/stopped at all 3 so from a logistics perspective I would probably consider the 'dependability' of them the same.
  2. we had a beach bed in 2019 (so not sure if changed_ but the top was covered, with like a bamboo slats? Along with curtains that can be bunched up or not on the sides. There were two lounge chairs for us to sit in that were right next to the bed, with the cooler in between. Depending on the angle of the sun, you could for sure soak it up on the bed during certain times of day
  3. Our early dining for Sept on Explorer is still saying 6pm, this will be our first time doing the first seating
  4. Same, I'm planning on checking on the 9th here in New York I am excited, it's our first Europe cruise as well, but back to back years on Explorer so will feel like home!
  5. If you can tell what category the room is, you should be able to move to any open room in that same category (if there are any, might require some checking and rechecking often) At least that is what my TA said, we have booked guarantee on a few trips where it was the only option, but have always been fine with what was allotted to never had to test it
  6. We will be there in September, this is what I have in my current planning mode: https://jetsettingfools.com/split-walking-tour/ 1-2 hours worth of sights, longer if we pay to enter some of the bigger ones Bacvice Beach - put my toes in the water (or more if its hot) Game of Thrones Museum Kasjuni Beach, located 15 minutes away from Split (beach with chairs, etc. for longer) Get a 15 bus from the stop next to the green market to Znjan beach ask the driver for the stop near the Amphora Hotel
  7. We booked the Key for our upcoming Greek Isles cruise in Sept, mostly for the internet (we'd buy anyway) and the priority tendering for Santorini. Interested to see if any of the other perks change/update before then
  8. Just booked this cruise for our anniversary! It'll be my first time to Europe and our first non-Caribbean cruise
  9. We used the OBC offer on our last two cruises (one on my account, one on my husbands). We had our TA book the cruise, then a few days later I went in and bought the OBC reward, followed the instructions on the email and emailed Casino Royale with the requested info. The $$ was in our cruise planner in about 5 days and we used it happily to book specialty dining
  10. Cool to see the VB in action! We have one on our Explorer inside next week!
  11. Fingers crossed! Not sure when you went but it seems all their rooms have balconies now as that was the biggest selling point for us over the Intercontinental We've got a water view booked for 2 nights and plan on getting some snacks & booze and otherwise staying near the hotel!
  12. If you go to the top of the page there is a compass tag and it looks like a recent one has been uploaded https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/adventure-of-the-seas/sat-07302022-0000
  13. We are booked for the Kimpton next month and I'm optimistic! Hopefully won't be too much of a pain since the plan is airport -> hotel -> port without having to go anywhere else thats not in walking distance.
  14. Awesome thank you! I went ahead and booked the 3 night! Excited to get onboard. I'm thinking we will either do Chops 2x Giovanni 1x or we will give Izumi a try for their teriyaki & ramen bowls. I never thought we'd be specialty dining people but here we are, of course the package was paid for with OBC so we'll see ha
  15. We almost joined this one as well but opted for the 8 Night on Explorer to be on for our actual anniversary! Have fun!
  16. Thanks! We are torn between booking the 3 night and Chops+1 but if we had to book Izumi it wouldn't be worth it for us to do all 3 We just started our Specialty Dining exploration on our last cruise and 8 nights feels like a LOT of MDR time feels good to be a newbie on something for a change!
  17. I am looking at booking a 3 Night package on our 8 night cruise on explorer. It looks like explorer only has 3 specialty dining: Chops, Giovanni's and Izumi We are not sushi eaters, and don't really care for asian food so don't want to try Izumi really. With the 3 night package are we able to go to Chops twice? Or do they expect us to do each restaurant 1 night?
  18. I'm glad to see them taking a slower response. Gives them time to really find the sweet spot of what works best without going too far too fast.
  19. We sailed out of Cape Liberty this month and we pulled into the area to drop off our bags around 945am, there was some wait for parking as they were sorting by size into lots but we went straight into the terminal after parking. We had a 1030 check in time, but we were through security, checked in and waiting to board by 1030.
  20. This seems to be the norm these days, I never recieved this email but I didn't get my confirmation of my bid not being accepted until 4pm on sailing day. We had already been on the ship and unpacked by then
  21. We were on the Adventure to Bermuda 7/16-7/21 and this was our experience with the BTA: 6/22 - Submitted our vaccine/passport/travel information on the website, got an email our application was pending review 7/7 - Got an email confirming acceptance, but we needed a negative covid test to board the ship, but they did not require it to be uploaded to their portal 7/14 - Got our covid tests done at CVS 7/16 - Showed our negative tests to board, and the check in agent confirmed we had filled out/got approved for the BTA (and we got stickers) At port, no-one checked for our vaccine or test information, I think its expected the ship handles the testing. I don't see any changes on the Bermuda website that they have dropped these protocols/requirements
  22. On Adventure earlier this month, we were asked to be out of our staterooms by 8/8:15 They said if we had a departure time before 8:15 we could wait in our staterooms, but otherwise to go to the departure lounge. This was on the notice we got on the last night with our tags.
  23. One of the machines in the Promenade on our sailing was out of most things pretty early but they got refilled at some point during the cruise, so hopefully if they are out they refill quickly for you!
  24. Glad to hear it! We sail on Explorer on a similar itinerary in September!
