  1. So basically everything I can already see on it? I assume some of the other features that are listed are only available while you're on the ship?
  2. So, the app is available on Navigator, but none of the other features are. So, what exactly is available then?
  3. I hope it's not a situation like happens at Six Flags. We get season passes there every year, and buy the cup that gets us free refills all summer. They're not cheap, and we've had them stolen 3 different years now. It's gotten to the point where I don't go on the rides anymore so I can stay with the cups while my kids go on the rides. Even then, they still aren't safe, I was sitting on a bench and had it on the ground by my feet and someone somehow managed to steal it. I hope the people on a cruise are a bit more trustworthy, and that we won't have to guard our cups with our lives.
  4. Not sure. The beach ones weren't available, but I was able to get an over the water one, which is what we wanted anyway.
  5. We've decided to do a little splurging in Labadee (over water cabana, zip line...), and to try to go the free or cheap route in Nassau. So many of the things in Nassau (Atlantis, Blue Lagoon) cost a ton, and none really interested us. Has anyone done any of the free or low-cost beaches, such as Junkanoo, Cabbage Beach, Cable Beach, Jaws Beach, Love Beach? Any you'd recommend, or that we should stay away from? Are there any beaches that are good for shelling (collecting seashells)?
  6. Guess I got really lucky, I was able to purchase one on Sunday for our cruise that leaves this coming Sunday.
  7. We chose MTD because we're more of an unstructured kind of family, we don't know what each day will bring and didn't want to be locked in to the same time every night.
  8. My wife and I are split up on the reservation because we couldn't book a room without someone over 21 in each room. But there's no way we're sleeping in different rooms. It works out well, because she was able to get the deluxe drink package. I don't drink, so she wouldn't have been able to get the deluxe package if we were booked in the same room and we had to purchase 2 packages.
  9. But it's ok for them to actually sleep in the same room?
  10. Does anything really need to be done? Is there a reason they need to know who is in which room if it's not exactly how you booked it?
  11. They all do, but from what I've read, the shorter ones and the Caribbean ones are much less 'formal' than some of the European and longer cruises.
  12. This is more of a general cruise question, not a Royal Caribbean question. But being this is our first cruise and there are many seasoned cruisers here, I'm looking for tips. In researching for our first cruise, pretty much every article or list of tips says "Don't overpack". In fact, it's usually the first or second tip mentioned, so it must be important. I usually pack pretty light for vacations, a few tshirts and pairs of shorts will get me by. But add in dress codes for the restaurants, formal night, a day in Miami before the trip and a day after, etc, and now it is increasing what needs to be packed. I'll need dress pants, polo shirts, dress shoes, sneakers... Not to mention the water shoes, snorkel equipment we plan on bringing to save money, dresses and multiple shoes for the females in the party, and I can see the packing quickly getting out of control. Any advice on how to keep it down to a minimum without having to re-wear already worn clothes?
  13. That link says the previous cups didn't have a built-in straw. Knowing that they use paper straws on the ships (awful), I would think the addition of a built-in straw would be a good thing. Am I wrong?
  14. They were able to cancel the refreshments package for just the one guest for me, then I was able to purchase the Deluxe package.
  15. Yes, it was $20 per day when I booked it, and is now $26. They are looking into it now, waiting to hear back.
  16. I asked them through Facebook, and they said that I just needed to cancel the refreshments package, then book the Deluxe package. But when I tried, it gave me a warning that if I cancel, it affects all guests on the reservation. I told them that, and they asked me to log out so they could look at it and see if it would affect anything else. Still waiting to hear back...
  17. There is one person in my party of 6 who would like to upgrade from the refreshments package to the deluxe beverage package. I know, she is the only adult of drinking age booked to that room, so it is possible to only upgrade that one. My question is this: can it be done through the website, or would it require a phone call?
  18. I am comparing 2 different packages for Blue Lagoon in the cruise planner. They are: Blue Lagoon Island Deluxe Beach Break - for $94 it includes a deluxe beach day including hammock, observe dolphins and sea lions, and a complimentary lunch. Premium water sports available at additional cost such as kayaks and aqua bikes Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter and Beach Day - for $136 it includes beach day, dolphin encounter. Participating guests will have complimentary access and use of the aqua park, kayaks, water bikes, paddle boats and paddle boards. I like the fact that the water sports are included with the dolphin encounter package, and think that's the better deal because I think the dolphin encounter sounds cool and hammocks aren't important to us. But I noticed that food wasn't included in that package. I reached out to Royal Caribbean through their Facebook page (and got a reply in about 2 minutes, wow they're responsive!), just to verify that was the case. I got the following reply: "Yes, one includes food while the other doesn't. There may be some snack options available for purchase, but we wouldn't be able to advise if there's a full lunch option available." Would someone here be able to answer whether food is available for purchase (either snacks or full lunch), and if so, how expensive it is?
  19. Can someone who has done the Atlantis excursion in Nassau tell me if it includes beach access, and if there is food/beverages included? Or is any of that extra? It doesn't say in the description. Here is the description: If your heart is set on aquatic adventure, you'll find plenty with a full-day pass to Atlantis Paradise Island's Aquaventure, a 141-acre waterpark overflowing with slides and pools, plus entry to its world-renowned Marine Habitat. Settle in with a complimentary lounge chair and pool towel before deciding in which direction to explore. The Aquaventure park houses over 20 million gallons of water spread across 20 unique swimming areas. The 120-foot-tall Power Tower will amp up your adrenaline, as will the rollercoaster-style Surge slide. Along The Current you'll tube across river rapids, while three kids pools offer splashing fun for little swimmers. When you've had your fill of the water, head inside the resort to check out the Marine Habitat, where some 50,000 aquatic animals swim around underground lagoon-style aquariums. Through large glass windows you can glimpse 250 marine species including sharks, piranha, eels, and sea turtles.
  20. If I get a job there, do I get free cruises?
  21. Does anyone know why the prices on the app never change, but on the website they sometimes change daily? For example, the Adventure Oasis at Atlantis excursion in Nassau price on the app is $199.99 for an adult and $139.99 for a child on the app. But on the website today, it is $169.99 for an adult and $115 for a child. It was $10 cheaper yesterday. Wouldn't it be easy enough to link the app to the current prices? I'm a software developer, and it shouldn't be difficult. Although, I suppose it is just informational, since I don't see a way to actually book through the app, so you'd have to do it through the website anyway.
  22. Would you say Blue Lagoon was worth the money, or did you find yourself wishing you had picked something else?
