  1. @emsff02 and @Srp431 thank you both. Found tags! First RC cruise tomorrow!!!!
  2. Great! Will I be able to extra luggage tags there or do I need to find them in my email? (I’ve been searching this morning and can’t find my big travel document packet in my email trash. Any idea the title of the email to better find it?)
  3. I was considering giving my kids backpacks to the porters on embarkation day. (Obviously removing any valuables first) My kids both packed most of their clothes in them and thinking it would be nice to ditch the extra bags to enjoy the ship more Is this feasible and a decent idea? or do they mostly want suitcases to stack etc? Lmk if this seems like a good idea or not. Thx!
  4. I know it’s not an alcohol question but what’s RCLs la croix type option? I thought I remember they have a drink like that. and do they have a hard seltzer?
  5. Got my tea lights! Thanks guys. So to confirm, there is no clock in the cabin? ? if so any travel clocks you guys love? Thx.
  6. @SpeedNoodles thanks for the link. I guess I got overly excited when I saw Navigator added to the app list. (Not realizing that doesn’t mean the chat feature works yet ?) Does anyone know if the the iMessage loop hole works on Navigator? I have tweens that I want to let wander, but I don’t feel great about that without a way to communicate.
  7. I thought it had be added to more ships? Anyone have a list?
  8. Thanks for the info. I have one. I just didn’t want to take up precious suitcase space if the room had something. Thx!
  9. Do the cabins have a night light (or any type of light from the blow dryer or the light switch) to help with middle of the night trips? ?
  10. Wait?? Is this for all ships? This would actually help me by allowing both my kids to be in AO. Lmk!
  11. Are there blow dryers in the bathroom in our cabins?
  12. @Eric Chao yeah I was wondering about hooking up our laptop to the tv too. Trying to avoid internet package so we won’t be streaming shows. Might have to kick it old school and bring discs.
  13. @Lovetocruise2002 I really appreciate your feedback on this! I know I followed your post before because our daughters are about the same age. So if there’s not much on TV, obviously our portable DVD player (or our laptop with videos on it) is good to bring. But do you have any other recommendations for what your girls like to do so you and your husband can have at least a drink together alone and feel they are safe?
  14. I know! What a bad subject to ask about! But in my defense, I’m specifically curious about channels and such in our stateroom so if the kids are tired, my husband and I can go out. They’re at that perfect age where we can leave them, but they’re not quite old enough to be out late doing teen things. We’ll likely bring our portable DVD player but hoping there might be some kid friend options on tv. And please don’t hesitate if you have ideas for tweens so parents can relax on their own. It’s a hard age since they’re too old for kids rooms but not old enough to be completely independent. Thx!
  15. @USCG Teacher safe to assume this method is best for disembarkation day? My husband gets on shuttle and gets car and my kids and I wait in the terminal? TIA
  16. @USCG Teacher Great tip. Makes sense! Thank you. we booked a budget rental car today for the location on 2nd st in Miami and there was a cruise ship terminal option. Hoping I’m doing this right! This blog has helped a ton!
  17. Great info everyone, thanks! @Matt does dropping off the family first at the port help the check in process along? Or is that just convenient if we have lots of luggage? We’ll only have one large suitcase, so I was thinking we’d return car and all (two adults, two kids and 1 bag) take the shuttle to the port. But total newbie here! Any tips are appreciated.
  18. What’s the latest we can get off the boat? Not in a rush but I know they hurry you along.
  19. I’m about to book a car rental for before and after cruise, and I’m curious what time I should request them. What’s a good time to be at the port on the embarkation day to drop off car? (I haven’t received my official boarding time but I think maybe you’ve mentioned at 10 or 10:30?) And then on disembarkation day, what’s a good time to book a car for? thanks for your help!
  20. @VinceC thanks for the post. So does the current drink package include up to $13 now?
  21. @Fuzzywuzzy oh I love that! She was joking she’d make us Pittsburg Steelers fans. We’re detroit Lions fans so I said by February we might be ready to switch teams. ?
  22. @Skigoofy thank you for finding the group cruise website. Glad I was able to find out the true info and call them.
  23. Just got off the phone with the football cruise group. Feeling much better. She says there group is 1000 maybe a bit more. And they are not chartering the whole thing. She went on to say how nice her group and the boat is. ? I guess she’ll be on the boat come Feb. guess I’ll have to say hi to her and thank her in person for giving me the info RC wouldn’t. Phew. Breathing again.....
  24. There website says join 1000+ fans. So maybe by that estimate it’ll be half the boat. (Navigator is like 3000 I believe). If it’s just half a boat of rich football fans and I can still go, I’m ok with that. (I can think of worse groups to travel with ?) But it will stink if it’s mostly the whole boat or I get cancelled. Again thank you all for following this and helping advice me. It’s nice to have the help and not be alone in figuring this out b
