I'm here for the rant..........

Vancity Cruiser got a reaction from mom2mybugs in Quantum.....the forgotten class?
With all the hype surrounding the Icon class it made me think how seldom the Quantum class is mentioned or even recommended to people looking for suggestions. There are folks who are big Oasis class fans (myself included), lots of folks who prefer the size and amenities (and price point) of the Voyager/Freedom class, and even a lot who prefer the relaxed atmosphere of the Radiance class. Obviously the Quantum class fill up and lots of people still sail on them and enjoy them (myself included) but I'm not sure there are many people who profess the Quantum class to be there favorite class.
Just my Wednesday morning musing..........

Vancity Cruiser reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in Empire Supper Club is available for booking
FB roll call group for the inaugural sailing said this morning that it's already sold out (for that sailing).
Personally, at $200pp, I didn't even look. Easy pass for us. You will find me in CK.

Often enough to know that if I want the casino experience, I'll go to Vegas or Reno. Better odds AND much more variety.
Nowhere near long enough to spend the amount of money required to get a cruise comp - there ARE other things to do onboard, after all.

Agree. Personally, we won't pay $1k a day for the two of us unless it includes airfare, e.g Europe or South Pacific. The Caribbean isn't worth any sort of premium; been there, done that, have the t-shirt, key chain, and holiday ornament!

I don't think it's a forgotten class because you hear enough about Anthem and Odyssey.
I did Odyssey and I am doing Quantum for Alaska in 2024, but in all honesty this class doesn't rank high. The esplanade and general layout leave a lot to be desired imho.

True, Odyssey (Quantum plus) is the only 'warm weather' ship of the class.

Lose money in the casino? Boy, I could do that as I know less than nothing about gaming. Even our $50 forays into the slots (penny of course) I haven't got a clue except something good's happening when the machine goes nuts.............then it all disappears a play or two later. 🤪

Correction.......Royal Caribbean new ship prices are insane. There are still deals to be had on other classes of ships

I would love to be the kind of person that looks at that $65K/person price tag and thinks "sure, I can manage that."
Since I'm not, I'll be back here on Voyager and Freedom class, thank you very much!

Oh I’m booking. Oasis and Freedom class. 😛
Icon class is going to have to age like a bottle of fine wine before I partake at those rates.

The old man is sitting in his rocking chair trying to find the ambition to drag the soapbox into the good ol’ town square again. Star of the Seas has brought about many philosophical questions.

Let the "I have to sail on the newest ships" and "the ship is the destination" crowds have them. I'll go on multiple trips in bigger staterooms on older ships for the same money (or less).

I literally told my brother. "I bet it's going to be around $5k for star of the seas." If I had bet, I would be rich enough to afford, to be able to sail Star 😂🤣😱.

Vancity Cruiser reacted to steverk in Returning to the "Scene of the Crime"...........NOT!!!!
It seems to me that this week's Going, Going, Gone sale has some pretty good bargains (rci_sales_event_USD.docx (rccl.com))
For example, Jan 22, 2024 Voyager of the Seas 5 night, ocean view cabin for $299 per person.
Or an 8 night Symphony of the Seas, Jan 27, 2024 for $979 per person in a balcony.
Or a 9 night Explorer of the Seas for $599 per person, ocean view stateroom.
No matter how I slice it, those prices don't look excessive to me.

@Vancity Cruiser is 100% correct
Portside and Playmakers are top notched. Aqua 80s is the best aqua show.
