  1. I would add as cases drop, it will be become more difficult to find and schedule an appointment. All these pop-up locations may eventually close up shop
  2. I would think pre boarding testing. I think vaccine requirements will be around for quite awhile, but its anyone's guess.
  3. Thanks, usually windjammer or el loca fresh are our usually spots. Might try for a less crazy first meal. Kids love the windjammer though.
  4. Is coastal kitchen open for lunch on day 1? The app states noon until 2pm, but a friend thought it isn't. We're on Symphony on March 26th. Thanks
  5. Yes, that is correct, we have to ask for the door to be opened and also which room to have the beds separated for the kids. We ask as soon as we are introduced to our steward
  6. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott. They have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and have a 3rd party transport you can pay (about $10 pp) to take you to the ship that you sign up for at the front desk when you arrive. It wasn't too expensive for one night. Nice, clean hotel, not a lot of restaurants within walking distance. I think Dunkin and Wendy's were the only options, but it was fine for us. Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port 400 Gulf Stream Way,Dania Beach, USA, Florida 33004 Tel: +1 954-342-8333
  7. Our family has never switched out cards, we just keep the inside connection door open between the adjoining balcony rooms.
  8. Shoes can stay on and masks are required. I was at the cruise terminal over Christmas
  9. Same for our Symphony sailing on March 26. We received the same email for our vaccinated kids. The app has accepted all of our vaccine cards about 3 weeks ago. Just follow vaccinated procedures.
  10. I'm happy to unplug for a week. Between both my kids and myself the XBOX is on almost all the time from Friday night through Sunday evening. My wife appreciates the family time and I'm pretty sure, she would not be happy if a game system was in our checked luggage.
  11. My wife started a new job Feb 1 at a large bank and they agreed to her vacation in March for Springbreak and they didn't even blink, they told her its fine and appreciated the heads up. Having a conversation early helps and most companies are happy to help.
  12. Nothing over Christmas on Allure from Fort Lauderdale on enforcement. We had a 11am check-in and heard a few folks that had later check-in times and no one asked. Only asked about vaccination cards and negative test. I'm guessing the same at Miami for our Symphony spring break cruise later this month. Friends sailed 2 weeks ago and mentioned no enforcement as well in Miami.
  13. Cabanas go fast. We booked our cabana at Oasis Lagoon for our March 26th 2022 cruise on Symphony, 12 months ago and they have been sold out shortly there after. We paid a premium, but worth it for our family.
  14. Main Dining room for us and the kids. Done this w/ every cruise and its nice way to end your trip before the airport
  15. Allure over Christmas it was 1:30p and they were ready at that time.
  16. Jacki York @ MEI has been great for us. She helped w/ save $1000 on our Christmas 2021 cruise on Allure and helped w/ using a number of FCC's we had.
  17. Our assistant waiter disappeared on our Christmas Allure of the Seas cruise on Day 5. Our waiter mentioned they had a close contact with a positive case (didn't say if it was a passenger or crew member), We didn't ask any additional questions and just tried to enjoy the rest of our cruise
  18. Another vote for El Loco Fresh, nice change from the burgers and same old stuff in the Windjammer
  19. Does a vaccinated 10 yr old, still get a COVID test at the end of the cruise, similar to an unvaccinated child?
  20. Our Christmas Allure 2021 cruise did not offered the drink card, as well
  21. Our CVS result came via text message,so hopefully no issues
  22. Yes, all other information is on the result page. Thanks, we're flying to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow morning. much appreciated
  23. I received my daughters PCR Test Result from CVS pharmacy and its NEGATIVE for our Allure 12/23/2021 sailing. The result page doesn't list a CLIA Lab Number or Cert Number is this a concern? The Royal website lists the following: You must receive a valid results document from your test provider that includes the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your negative result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “negative” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document.
  24. We're on this same cruise . Cross our fingers
