No. You can not use the book later certificates on refundable fares.

We were able to order an extra entree at both on Allure.  In fact, the waiter suggested it.  My wife and I order 1 extra entree to share between us.

YMMV when it comes to 150 CP. I have heard varying stories of people getting multiple apps and one entree and then getting more than one entree.
At Giovanni's, they don't limit you. You can order multiple entrees, apps and pasta. They will also do half orders of pasta.

Same with major construction delays on I45. But they do happen,  so it is wise to build in extra time just in case

Fog delays really aren't that frequent. But when the do happen, it can really be stressful.

That's great!  You'll find several good hotels near the space center and I think you'll enjoy yourself.

This is what I would do, too. Allow plenty of time to get to the airport on Monday. My kids loved Space Center Houston when they were young.
I haven't cruised near as much as some on the board. I have never arrived late on disembarkation day. But I don't like to chance it - way too stressful. Even in FLL where you could see the ship from the airport because it was so close, I did not want to chance it. The flights were early or 6 pm. We took an excursion to see the aligators and got to the airport so early that we could not even check in.  But I would do it all over again not to have the stress of missing our flight.

When I cruised I some how totally missed the cups until the 2nd day.  I just walked up to a bar and was given a cup.

Jess4214 reacted to Traveling Mike in Where to get Coke freestyle cup on Allure
If you do not get it at the table when you get on the ship you can get it at almost any bar.  Now you do not need to have the cup to get sodas.  Any bar or dining place will give you sodas in the glass.  You can give them the souvenir cup and they will fill it.  You will also need it if you want to use one of the free style machines.

You can grab it when you board..usually a table set up right in the promenade to grab it. Or go to any bar and they'll set you up. They don't deliver them to the rooms

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your great advice. It's our first time visiting Galveston and I didn't even consider the fog and traffic delays that can add to what would be an already stressful morning. Definitely not the way to end a cruise! Since there isn't any good options for us to fly later in the afternoon, we've decided to stay an extra day. Since we have small kiddos we're thinking of checking out the Nasa Space Center or some other kid friendly activities 🙂

We've sailed a few times requesting a pack n play. On Freedom (9 months old), Navigator (1 yr old) and Symphony (15 months old) the pack n play was the same size on each ship. I'm not sure about other ships tho. You're right it's really small but I imagine that would be the only size that could fit in the cabin. Even then, it takes up a good amount of space. On Symphony, he was maxing out.

Jess4214 reacted to Brett B in Balcony safety info for concerned parents- Wonder
I am aboard Wonder of the Seas with my family this week, and for some reason I was thinking back to when we first started sailing back in 2007.  Our kids were young when we first sailed on Freedom, and like may parents we were concerned (and frankly uneducated) on door locks and balcony safety.  For parents looking to travel with young kids, I took some photos to help you understand the backing door locks and balcony railing for Wonder (which I think is consistent with at least Freedom and newer vessels).
Please note my numbers are ESTIMATES
First, the balcony door has a manual lock apx 5.5’ up high.  When engaged, a lever is inserted into the door and the door between the stateroom and the balcony will not open.  See image 1 and 2
Secondly, in image 3, the balcony height itself is pretty high at about 4’.  A child certainly could use a balcony chair to help get up higher, which is why not leaving children unattended combined with the interior door lock to the balcony are the best tools for momentary lapses (like being in the shower).
I hope parents with little one’s fine this helpful.
BTW- Wonder is amazing.  So many wonderful upgrades from the other Oasis ships. It’s our second time onboard, and they also greatly improved the water show Intense, and the show the Effectors II is also wonderful!

Typically, I'll go to Guest Services on Night 4 or 5 (of a 7-night sailing) and see what the prices for transfers are. They may advertise it in the Compass, but I know they'll offer it regardless so that's when I go. I paid $27.95 for my transfer from Bayonne to EWR in October when I was on Oasis. I would expect any transfers to JFK to cost more.

Your travel agent can book the "generic" transfer for you, you can't do it online.  If you aren't using a travel agent, you'll have to call royal to get the price and book it.
I agree that generally they are more expensive than other options, but there are times they may make sense.  If you are traveling alone the price may be competitive.  If you are traveling in a larger group that doesn't want to split up into seperate ubers/cabs, and you don't want to try to arrange a private transfer, it might make sense even if it's more expensive.
I've found UberXL isn't good for a family of 5 with luggage, because you never know if the car will actually fit everyone and everything.  Minivan taxi's usually can, but then you can end up waiting a long time in the taxi line for one that can fit everyone and everything.  In some ports, Minivan taxi's may not even be a thing.

Jess4214 reacted to FionaMG in Airport Transfers to JFK or Newark
In addition to the transfers with sightseeing + airport drop-off mentioned by @Carotthat, sometimes a straight transfer will be offered without sightseeing, but this would tend to be offered on board and you would see it in the daily compass rather than in the cruise planner before the cruise. You might be able to see them in some recent compasses posted here on the blog: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass You don't need to look specifically for Liberty, as I don't think she's sailing or has recently sailed out of NJ. Look instead for Anthem, Oasis and Adventure, as those are the ones that have been or are sailing from that port recently/now.
Even without the sightseeing component, they'll be quite pricey; Royal's transfers tend only to be cost effective if you're travelling solo. That said, if you're a nervous traveller who's uncomfortable with the idea of arranging your transport independently, the ease and convenience may be worth the extra cost to you.

You should see them in CP, offered as sightseeing trips and drop off at the airport. Quite pricey.

If you stay in a hotel at LAX then its about a 35 min taxi or uber ride to the port, depending on traffic. LA traffic is horrendous so give yourself plenty of time. If you're getting in at least a day early I recommend a hotel in the San Pedro area close to the port or staying Downtown Long Beach. DLB has plenty of hotels and lots of fun stuff to do prior to the cruise. On Ocean Blvd/Pine Ave there's The Aquarium, The Pike, lots of restaurants, Queen Mary, nightlife, all within walking distance of the hotels. There's a Hilton,  Hyatt (next to LB Convention Center) and The Westin in addition to some others. It's also a short taxi or uber ride to the port of LA (San Pedro) its just opposite of the bridge so very close and you don't have to deal with LA traffic possibly delaying your arrival time. But I understand if you're flying the night before and don't have enough time or not interested in exploring than getting an uber or taxi to the port from an airport area hotel is the best way to go. If you give yourself a few hours, beat the LA traffic and you're early to the port, check out the USS Iowa thats in the same port (literally next to the ship) or grab a bite in one of local restaurants. 😀
Flying into Long Beach Airport is actually so much easier and stress free than flying into LAX just a future side note. However, airlines are limited.
Sailed on Navigator a few months ago and lived in the Southbay my whole life so feel free to ask any ?'s and I'll do my best to help.
