  1. I'll probably do that.....after I go to a home game at all NFL stadiums.
  2. Our cruise on Liberty is pretty far off on the calendar but was trying to see what shows are available and none are listed. Shore excursions are but entertainment on ship is not. How far ahead of embarkation do they start listing these shows to make reservations for?
  3. Hmmm....curious why? Size of ship? Age of ship? Just because?
  4. I just bought a policy yesterday. I bought it through the same travel agent that booked our cruise the day before. It was important to get the policy quickly after booking because of the stipulation: "Purchase within 14 days of your initial trip deposit for pre-existing condition exclusion waiver" I'm sure research will show better deals out there.....cheaper rates, etc. I like the travel agent, his company, and we have friends who had just gone the same route and were good with it. I feel we are adequately covered for all situations, just hoping we don't have to use it. Normally I am reluctant to get insurance....usually opt out. This was different.....at our ages need to think a little different than we used to. You can message me if you want details of our policy, rates, etc.
  5. I just made reservations and pre-paid Chops on my wife's birthday. This is a really special birthday and the main reason we booked this particular cruise. It happens to be on day two....cruising day, so the timing is good. I'm wanting for this dinner to be special with a birthday surprise of some kind. How would I go about arranging this ahead of time.....either pre-cruise or on day one? Who would I contact? etc . Ideas on what I could do? Thanks for all help!
  6. OK, y'all have sold me. I'm sure the modern technology in the engineering spaces is awesome. I'd like to see the bridge....and galley. I'm not thrilled about the laundry but will look. Sounds like money well spent! Thanks for your comments!
  7. Not trying to sound cheap, but is the All Access Ships Tour worth $97.00 per person? I'm asking anyone who has actually been on the tour. Did you get your money's worth, feel disappointed, etc. etc.? I would love to see the workings of the ship....I worked one of Uncle Sam's cruisers back in the day....but if it's a bust would rather be spending the $194 winning the casino's money at blackjack. All replies appreciated!
  8. This is really good info, folks. Appreciate it!
  9. The big moment came to book our cruise (big deal to us.....Holiday Cruise for wife's birthday and Christmas) and were told the early dining in MDR was filled up so the choices were the late time or My Time. We chose My Time but felt a little disappointed. Should we be or is My Time a better deal? Experiences and opinions welcome.
  10. In addition to Pearl Harbor, if you have the time on Oahu there is a guided bus tour that goes around the island and there are some beautiful and amazing sights, some on the back side. It was something I'll never forget.....especially the stop at the Dole pineapple fields hospitality house....there was an ice cold drink inside a frozen hollowed-out pineapple that was really good!
  11. Can't make it to Escondido anytime soon but can run over to Austin and get some.....there is one store that has it. Will definitely look for it on Liberty!
  12. Stone IPA......I'll make note of that. thx
  13. I like Corona but I've been looking at the menu at the Pub on Liberty and there is some really good beer and ale listed. I plan on spending some quality time there for sure.
  14. Lol! Thanks for clarifying.....I promise I spent 20 minutes earlier Googling "offer buckets"....it was interesting!
  15. Thanks....will do that! Nothing better after a hard day of goofing off than an ice cold Corona.
  16. Thanks! I'd like them frosty cold but not familiar with the term "offer bucket"..... please clue me in.
  17. OK, I'm still processing this drink thing. It's either real complicated or.....I'm slowing down a bit. There's a mini fridge in the stateroom. Is there anywhere on the ship I can buy some Coronas and stock my fridge or do I have to purchase a single cold one somewhere and rack up a small fortune as I proceed to find more single cold ones?
  18. Very good information! Exactly what I need before making a decision. thx
  19. We are booking through a large firm, and as far as I know, reputable. They offer trip insurance (Crum & Forster) and after checking out their rates was a bit dubious about whether we want insurance or not. (Rates are in the range of 7% of trip cost) Who buys trip insurance regularly for these cruises? Pros and cons? Please chime in!
  20. Good idea! It'll be her 65th birthday....kinda a milestone....so I might try to put her in a shirt or tee-shirt advertising that.
  21. Thanks, Matt & melmar02 . I went to the Cruise Planner and became familiar with it....times have changed since my last cruise!
  22. Good information, all! I have a plan falling into place......
