  1. Thank you. I did uninstall and reinstall and everything is there. When this close to sail date, I didn't want any hiccups. I have already printed a hard copy of my set sail pass (Which I always do-just in case the phone does not work at the pier) so I was not too worried if the app wouldn't load. Thanks again.
  2. Please excuse the silly question but my Royal app will not load on my phone. It asks me to sign in but then just sits there with the anchor logo spinning. It has been fine previously as I have already checked-in, etc through the app along with reserving our shows for the Symphony 2/10/24 sailing. If I uninstall the app and then reinstall it, will it show all my check-in information? Again, so sorry for the silly question.
  3. I, too, received this email. I have never won a bid in all the times that I have placed one. I was wondering if anyone else had gotten this email. So now I know that I am not the only one. Interesting!
  4. Thank you everyone for the advice. I think I will cancel the large balcony one and just "hope" for the JS. Happy sailing everyone.
  5. Have a question regarding Royal Up bidding. We are sailing 5/21/22 on Symphony. We are booked with standard balcony stateroom on deck 10. I have placed 3 bids. The first is for a Junior Suite, the 2nd is Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony. The 3rd is Ocean View with Large Balcony. My question is with my bid on the Ocean View with large balcony - is this really an upgrade to what I already have? Is it really worth any extra $$ should I win that one? Should I just cancel that bid since I am just thinking that it really is not an upgrade and worth extra $$. Any advice from you seasoned cruisers out there. I have placed bids before but never have "won" any. Thanks in advance.
  6. I will be on Odyssey for b2b 12/4 & 12/12 - Both itineraries changed. For the 12/4 sailing, we will be going to CocoCay instead of GC. On the second sailing, visiting Cozumel & Nassau instead of GC & Falmouth.
  7. My hubby does not know this yet but about a week ago, I had my travel agent book the following sailing. So now we are doing a b2b (unfortunately, could not get the same cabin). I hope to hold off and not let him know until we are actually packing. Wish me luck!!
  8. Majesty of the Seas - Western Caribbean February 1997.
  9. Thank you, Matt. So glad cruising is back. I missed it. Maybe they will add Coco Cay instead of Grand Cayman. Not a bad substitution!
  10. My husband and I are booked on the Odyssey Western Caribbean for 12/4/21 which has a port call for Grand Cayman. I just read that Grand Cayman will not be opening up to cruise ships until early 2022 providing all their steps for reopening have been completed entirely. How will Royal handle this? Skip the port or maybe change to another port that is close to Grand Cayman? Also, when do you think we will be notified as to any change in our itinerary? We were so looking forward to seeing Grand Cayman again as we have not visited there since our very first RCCL cruise in February of 1997.
  11. I am currently booked on the 12/4/21 Odyssey sailing out of Ft Lauderdale. I am just a little curious as to how long RCL will be doing reduced capacity sailings. As Odyssey is such a new ship, it would be really nice to be on a brand new ship with only about half the capacity. Maybe I am just being selfish!
  12. We will be sailing Harmony on 2/2/20 and 2/9/20. As we are from Wisconsin, there is a chance that our Green Bay Packers may be in the Super Bowl which, as everyone knows, is 2/2/20. We will know for sure after Sunday if they can get past S.F. 49er's. Regardless, we definitely would want to watch the Super Bowl. It would definitely be better if they are playing. Anyone know where will be the best place on Harmony to do this? I do not see Playmaker's on the deck plans. Go Pack Go!
  13. Thank you all for the advice. I will post upon return from the cruise as our stay went. We do not do the internet packages onboard as we disconnect totally from all electronics while cruising. It's really quite nice. Too much electronics day to day. With the air2sea package from Royal, all transfers are included from airport to hotel, hotel to ship, and ship to airport. We also do the luggage valet so we do not have to worry about our luggage until we arrive at our home airport. Well worth the minimal fee that Royal charges for this terrific service. I am hoping that we will be able to get to either Publix or Walmart to purchase our 2 bottles of wine to take onboard. I do not want to chance purchasing them at home and packing them in our checked luggage.
  14. As this will be our first cruise out of Port Canaveral on Harmony on 2/2/20 & 2/9/20, (also our first B2B), we are using the Air2Sea package from Royal (as we always do), and we are booked at Caribe Royale in Orlando for the pre-night stay. Has anyone ever stayed there? Curious how the accomodations are as we usually depart from Port Everglades and stay at Embassy Suites. In checking their website and google maps, it does not appear to have any restaurants within walking distance so I think we will be stuck with eating at the hotel, which looks a little on the expensive side.
  15. Definitely recommend Embassy Suites also. Have stayed there 3 times and have never had a bad experience. And you cannot beat the free breakfast. If you are lucky enough to have a room on the upper floors and on one of the sides (do not know exactly which one) it faces the port and if up early in the a.m., you can see the ships pulling into port and docking.
  16. Also doing our first B2B on Harmony February 2020. We booked it while onboard Adventure of the Seas this past March with NextCruise. The person helping us searched until she found the same cabin available for both cruises. So I, too, am looking forward to doing my first B2B and onboard Harmony. Can't get much better!
  17. Just came off of a cruise on Adventure and we were in Terminal 29. I have never seen her docked at any other in Port Everglades. I follow Port Everglades and other ports on PTZtv and Adventure is always in 29 with all other Royal ships in Terminal 18.
  18. My family and I just came off an 8 night Eastern on Adventure. We had two cabins on deck 8, port side mid aft. I thought it was a great location. 3 decks up to the Windjammer and 3 decks down to MDR. She is a great ship and easy to navigate. Enjoy. We had a great time.
