Hello!
I need some help from those who have sailed on Harmony of the Seas with kids.. my last cruise with Royal was on Majesty so this will be a BIG jump
1. There are several dance/disco party all over the ship throughout the sailing... which one is for the whole family? my kids are in elementary school and I want to have some dancing time with them.
2. Can my kids go to Solarium Bistro for breakfast and lunch? I understand Solarium is adult only area.
3. If we go to Sabor with other family and eat at the same table, how do they split the bill?
4. on average, how many kids are in Adventure Ocean club? I fear there are way too many kids for staff to handle..
5. Is there a swim vest for kids on the ship?
thank you so much!!

@MarvinS very acceptable (5-15 minutes at most) with usually 5 minutes or so average. Several were with nearly zero waiting.
Do you remember which slides were un-popular?

As it only costs a couple of hundred bucks for a small company to trademark a name, a big company with lawyers on staff can trademark anything they think of.
Ones I remember from last year were
Phenom of the Seas, Gallant of the Seas or Eon of the Seas, Valhalla of the Seas, Sunrise of the Seas and Icon of the Seas, Apex of the Seas, Joy of the Seas, Emblem of the Seas
Carnival Sunrise, Celebrity Apex, Norwegian Joy.. I actually like Melody of the Seas and Icon of the Seas.

The more I think of it the more I'm inclined that she will be a close copy of Spectrum with a different name painted on her, at least in terms of major infrastructure.
It's a short build window. Making changes requires re-modeling a lot of engineering data to determine how adding or removing a few thousand pounds here or there alerts ship handling on top of modifying blueprints and architectural designs.
When Navigator was refreshed and AMPED they went to sea with engineers on board and sensor tanks placed around the ship to validate and measure handling under various conditions such as sharp turns and emergency stops.
There is a lot that goes into modifying a design such as hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on modeling and predicting handling characteristics. It's one reason why they find a design and stick with it. Deviating costs money.
Looking at Ovation's top decks:
Where would slides go? There isn't much room by the Flowrider and iFly. The SeaPlex area contains all the communication antennas. Those need to be up high to avoid blocking satellites by ship infrastructure and causing outages. No slides there. Putting slides midship by the main pool blocks a lot of sight lines for the pool. North Star needs it's own space, no slides there. Slides forward over the Solarium and newer suites area wouldn't work.
Slides would have to go at the back but there isn't a lot of room for the landing zones and tower of stairs to climb up unless they remove iFly.
Big part of me says no slides.
Only time will tell.
Just curious. Is Flowrider THAT popular? I would think more people would prefer water slides over Flowrider so I am more than okay not having a Flowrider if it meant we can get water slide.
Plus I think having retractable roof would be fantastic.

No towel stations. You need to get them from the ship and bring them with you.
There were life vests at the oasis lagoon. I don’t know where there are other places.
ugh. really? This is released by Royal last month and it says there are two towel station.
bummer if there is no towel station on island.
-
Where is the towel station on the island?
Also, where is the swim vest station? some slides require swim vest for anyone under 48"
thank you!!

how old are your kids?

I would book a cruise at a reduced rate if my dining option is WJ + at least 1 other venue.
I need housekeeping.

anyone tried this helium balloon ride at Coco Cay? how was it? did you like it?
is it worth $40?

screen baseball would be fun too. go to youtube and search "screen baseball korea"

I'd take AMPing over lengthening every time. I wish Royal does all AMPing like they did it with Navigator.

I would say its Royal pricing itself out of the market..which results in a lower demand......Royal is defn not the cheapest over on this side at all. There are many other cheaper options and other options with way more perks and benefits....And just think of all the extra cabin space that Royal is adding with all these mammoth ships...something has to give at some point.
is it really? I have been comparing prices for Carnival, NCL and Royal past 2 years for comparable sailings and yes Carnival is almost always the cheapest but I was surprised that Royal price sometimes is approaching Carnival territory (especially with Kids Sail Free promotion)
I was super surprised that NCL price is ridiculously high... maybe I am not doing the search correctly?
This is why I have been alternating Carnival and Royal.

No, not confused, just know it's not going to happen, as you say.
We all know or think we know, that if Royal keeps building ships at this rate that some of the older smaller ships are either going to be sold or shuffled off to a different market.
That's just good business. Keep supply and demand where they want it.
We will probably say good bye to Vision class sooner or later.

And this is a bad thing for the average consumer?
lol I was thinking the same thing. MOAR SHIPS in US please.

Empress, Majesty and Grandeur won't be a problem.
Harmony, Symphony and Oasis however....

Yes, Thrill Waterpark uses a new kind of wristband that uses a self-scanning station when you enter the park. In fact, you can go in and out of the water park as you please.
The wave pool is in Thrill Water park, so you'd have to get into the water park to access the wave pool.
No, not without a wristband.
thank you so much Matt!

I am posting this since I couldn't get info/answers by researching online.
My family will be there in a few month but the thing is my wife doesn't do water slide at all. my son and I will be purchasing full day water park ticket for sure but I am not sure if my wife should purchase a ticket to enjoy with us.
Do they give a wristband as a water park ticket?? I didn't see any part that was roped off so how do they know we purchased a waterpark ticket or not?
how do they block non-waterpark guests from entering wave pool?
can my wife still walk around waterpark area? also, how do they differentiate between full day ticket and half day ticket?
many thanks in advance!

- Which cruise route (Eastern, Western) should a first timer? We looked at the various ports and nothing stood out. In addition, is a Royal Caribbean 'Perfect Day' worth it?
Perfect Day opens this weekend so there will be reviews. I would choose any route that includes Perfect Day.

Essentially, Voom Surf and Stream is faster and supports video streaming.
Regardless if you are video streaming or not, I recommend Surf and Stream because it is overall a better experience.
thank you!

hello!
I will be on Harmony of the Seas in a few month and still don't know which VOOM to purchase.
VOOM SURF vs. VOOM Surf & Stream?
is there a noticeable speed difference between two? I don't stream anything but I fear basic VOOM SURF will be very slow...
please help!!
thanks,
