My daughter used what I think is called a phone wallet. It is a pocket type sleeve that sticks to the back of your phone and holds ids, credit cards and SeaPasses. Since she is never without her phone, it worked well. Our family had our phones with us most of the time to keep in touch with each other. I was jealous of her phone wallet, but could not find one either on the ship or in ports. I was at a seminar in January where they were giving them away, and I snagged a few for upcoming trips. They peel off very easily.

Thank you. I just read your very informative post. Since I booked with a travel agent, I will let her know if I see a drop. I'm just glad it doesn't go the other way. The GS I booked for August is now just $300 less per person than the price we paid for two.

Quick question. I booked a GS on Oasis for March 2020. I was able to price check for a couple of months (and saved several hundred dollars) but now that category no longer shows up. I wonder if that is because they are all booked or if the website "recognizes" that I have booked this and no longer shows it. I do have an MEI travel agent, so I am confident that she is also checking. I just like to be sure.

Yes. The sun deck was another factor in deciding on trip with husband. We like the MDR fine but I am sure we’ll enjoy CK. We are not buffet people. We are not huge eaters and feel overwhelmed

That was the decision I made. Actually due to the Cuba cancellation and an incredibly good deal on a GS for the same week, I actually have have 2 GS cruises coming up. One in August with a friend (Cuba replacement) and one in March 2020 with my husband that I booked several months ago. He dislikes being inconvenienced so I thought a suite would help with that-particularly reserved seats at shows. Thanks for the advice. This site is awesome with great people

My question is more, if you can do UDP and the Key, why do the GS?

I've been wondering about a couple of things. These questions primarily apply to Oasis/Quantum class. 1. It seems that the UDP is very popular. Is it difficult to get reservations for times/restaurants desired? 2. With the UDP and the Key, is there any further benefit to a Grand Suite?

Can you not convince him to have the buffet in MDR while you order a la carte?

Wow. That seems high; hopefully there will a sale either over July 4th, Labor Day or Thanksgiving weekend.

I am a firm believer in the value of the drink package...But it has held steady at $57 since booking several months ago. Has it been lower on your sailing?

Question about the wine list. My favorite sparkling wine is on the mdr list but not ck list. If I ask very nicely do you think I could get a glass or 3? in ck? Only sky class so no genie magic. We have drink package and it is within the price limit by the glass so I don’t want to buy a bottle. They did bring our favorite mdr wine from mdr to chops for us on navigator and charged us glass price-also within drink package limits

We stayed at the lime tree hotel after our cruise and loved it! Quaint boutique hotel in great neighborhood. Convenient walk to lots of things and only a block or two to tube. They serve a fabulous full breakfast included in price of room. Staff is very helpful

The Grand Suite also includes reserved seating for many of the shows and a concierge-not as good as a genie, but I am sure they can be helpful.

We did the Kennedy Space center after a cruise one day, and really enjoyed it.

I check my bookings as well. I posted recently about rescheduling our Cuban cruise to the Harmony. At that time, the grand suites were less than the junior suites and only slightly more than an interior. They do some odd things with the pricing.

Have you gotten your cabin assignment yet?

Do you remember the cost of Uber from the port to the airport? We are doing this trip in August and I am trying to figure out ground transportation.

I once had a two week business trip with no laundry service. I packed some large zip lock bags and a small bottle of liquid detergent. Put underwear in bag with water and small amount of detergent, sealed the bag and sloshed it around. Rinsed in a separate bag then sink. Used towel to press dry. Worked so well I ended doing a couple of pairs of pants-they did take longer to dry.
