  1. Hi BRobbins246, our first cruise as well, traveling HOTS in June To the Western Caribbean. We are taking my 17 year old Niece & very much wanted to get some sort of a dolphin experience for her. We decided against due to the price of all things PHOTOS. Over & over in the fine print, “ cameras NOT permitted” , comments by customers ~require to leave camera locked up, separate fee for photos.....All my research states that photos are around $200! I called RC customer service & the agent went over excursion by excursion port by port with me until we found just one where I might be able to take my own photos.
  2. Hi JGuirduli, our first cruise as well, HOTS in June. The little bit of research I have done(trip advisor)it seems that this port Puerto Costa Maya Mexico is a very large cruise port where the main issue is the “maze” to to find an exit, to get out to meet an excursion or just leave the port area. I found an excellent map that shows the pier/exits/beach/restrooms/showers at www.cruisemapper.com/ports/costa-maya-port . Sorry I am not very good with computers & can’t hotlink
  3. Thank you Mrs Royal for the photo comparison! I have limited mobility & needed a better idea of the structure difference as well.I surmise the lack in photos is due to them not being built yet? We are traveling HOTS in June .Gosh, for the price I originally paid, Chill Island Cabana started at $749& dropped to $549 I think I am building one just with my payment! Haha. Oh, FYI, there is a “known discrepancy “ on the website with how many people can visit/stay/be addressed by the cabana person. I am only mentioning this, if you are having people “pitch in” for the total price. The highlights mention “ up to eight of your favorite people”,which I took as myself & eight others = 9 total. The important notes mention “maximum eight per cabana”. When you complete the order, there will be an option if you are close to your cruise date to choose SIX. I worked with Customer Resolutions for over a month, Eva got back to me & said it is capacity of 6 adults & 2 children? Also, these Chill Island Cabanas have a cocktail table, speaker, combination lock lid for storage, USB outlet, private cooler that the cabana person keeps stocked with water, and towels for your guests.
  4. Hi, also to add in. I had used an on board credit with a purchase that had lowered. I wanted my full refund, then to re-use the credit, so I did call RC customer service to assist me. No issues, credit card showed the refund, re-purchase at the lower amount minus my used credit.
  5. Hi, and the no fee dining ( MDR Main dining room/ Solarium) is way on the very bottom, click more options. I had my time dining, picked my dining option& time, however could not get day one calendar to show the time. All other no fee dining times, however did show on my calendar.
  6. Hi SMM799, my cruise to Cococay is inJune with a Chill Island Cabana I called & discussed the wheelchair assessable question & was told by RC customer service& I believe also Customer Resolutions that, Cococay has specific “wheelchairs that roll in the sand” & they do NOT supply a helper to push the wheelchair. I cannot tell yet if there is a ramp up to the cabana. Also wanted to mention, that there is an issue with the exact # of people/adults/children are allowed to be in the cabana. Just in case you are having friends chip in? The details/notes state “eight of your favorite friends” , however when you pay for it, the website asks for six. Customer Resolutions told me six adults & two children?
  7. Hi thank you for the input on Specialty Dining posted last Feb. FYI now for the BOGO the fine print seems that YOU do NOT choose the restaurant on cruise day one, it is chosen for you (I would presume whichever restaurant needs patrons?)and the second day is cruise day two only which I believe is formal night?
  8. Hi thank you for insight on wheel chair information. From when I booked, to now ( my cruise in June 16th with HOTS) I am in a wheel chair & am working on walking. I did find out that at Cococay, there are specific wheelchairs that wheel in the sand, however you must have someone push you& the crew will not assist. The only excursion I felt comfortable with was a cabana, that is a very high fee. I am hoping to be walking well enough to get on a catamaran in Roatan while the rest of my party try the BOSS underwater.
  9. Thank you for covering this question about “at your leisure “ when a specific time for my time dining is chosen. I had the same scenario for day one only, all other booked time did show on my calendar though.
  10. I considered over the water cabanas. From when I booked, to my cruise (6/19 with Harmony) , I got sick & am/might be wheelchair bound & this would have been the only “excursion” I felt comfortable going on. But OTW cabanas will not be ready yet, so booked the Chill Island Cabana. Want to mention that I found an **“issue” on the number of guests allowed, and have worked with RC Resolution Team and also with RC Corporate for 2 months. Resolution was not found & the excursion highlights to completing payment are still contradicting. I am mentioning this, if anyone is considering making the full payment & have friends chip in. Specifically 1)the excursion “highlights” state “room for up to 8 of your favorite people” which I took as myself plus 8=nine total. 2) the excursion “important notes” state “maximum eight guests per cabana” . 3) when you pay/complete this excursion it states “choose SIX people” . 3)RC Resolution team member Eva got back to me and stated it is “six adults and two children” will be authorized to use /be with me. We are traveling with 20 and it was difficult to pick& choose the 6/7 or 8 “ favorites”. Dissapointed that RC only offered a$25 credit for me finding the error. Hopefully other friends can stop in, but not stay. This is my first post, let me know if I should post my finding somewhere for others?
