  1. Southern Aruba and Curacao are great ports. Curacao is our favortite. Bonaire is a nice ship day unless you really like snorkeling, the island doesn't offer much more.
  2. you should be able to view menus on the app well ahead of time
  3. I believe the relaxing of solarium age requirements is just later afternoon thru early dinner not really when you and your kids will want to use the pool (if this sailing will allow it). I assume this is a Caribbean sailing so really just the first and last days it would be an issue. once you are in Florida it will likely be warm enough for the outdoor pool.
  4. Star Link will be much better than cell service at sea
  5. Nice shorts and polo or collared shirt is great for the MDR. I like that formal night is now dress your best...my best is shorts and flip flops
  6. or swing by Sorrento's for a nice slice or 2...or 3
  7. agree Falmouth is pretty disappointing. Along with Nassau a good day to enjoy the ship
  8. We flew out of FCO in September (although international so may have been different), you would have to have zero delays to feel comfortable with a 1030 flight. I personally would consider the later flight and thanks to being europe you can buy a late checkout and stay on the boat until 3:00 (that's what we did and it was fantatstic...wifi drink package all get extended). We had the pool deck to ourselves.
  9. short cruises are great if you can drive to the port. We have 3 nighters on Allure, Utopia, and Reflection booked this year but can easily drive. They are a nice taste of cruising in between the longer itineraries that require a week off work.
  10. depends what you are looking for. My son lives in Daytona, decent beaches and restaurants. Hotel options would be Daytona Autograph (across from speedway) and Hard Rock Daytona on the beach. if you're in to Nascar there is a lot to see. St Augustine is fun for a day, can't recommend a hotel there but nice place to walk around for a day. Orlando really isn't that far out of the way if you wanted more to do.
  11. we are big fans of palm beach. Nos Clubhuis by the Marriott is a great place for lunch and happy hour. Chairs and umbrellas are expensive but so is everything in Aruba. We stayed at the Marriott for a week and I could have gone on 3 cruises after buying groceries for a week in Aruba
  12. Port everglades has very convenient parking. Depending on your terminal you will be directed to a garage or surface parking within walking distance of your terminal. I wouldn't worry about offsite parking.
  13. they have really started delaying the transfer of on board credit. My last 3 cruises the OBC didn't show up until boarding was under 2 weeks away. Even after calling they would just say we have up until 2 weeks before sailing to apply the points. I have a cruise on Allure March 15 and my request for OBC was 6 months ago. I believe this is purposeful to prevent you using points for pre-cruise purchases. I plan to stop using my RC Card as I only use it for OBC.
  14. i have stopped getting mail offers from Royal and Celebrity but when I go to clubroyaleoffers.com i always have new offers available.
  15. the zipline is awesome. we also love just finding a nice spot to chill out on labadee. Weather, sand, water are all usually perfect there.
  16. never been on Millennium but was on reflection not long ago and service was incredible. We've been on 4 celebrity cruises and always thought it a little better than Royal. Hope it gets better for you.
  17. there were salsa dance lessons on our daily planner when we were on Odyssey in december. When we showed up there was trivia going on. Maybe you'll have better luck
  18. Sorry you are going thru this but it sounds like TA forgot to pay the deposit to me. They should have paid it at the time of booking not wait until the last day. I would re-book on another ship (with a different TA or yourself thru RC) that is less expensive like Wonder. You will still have a great time.
  19. The walls are so i assume the ceiling is as well. We always take magnetic hooks with us.
  20. sometimes its not right at midnight. If you wake up early and check in at 7am or so you will get the earliest boarding time thats been my experience anyways
  21. nothing will happen if you arrive after your time, I don't think they are even enforcing if you arrive early any longer. Just don't miss the boat
  22. I would think for a 3 nighter you wouldn't have a ton of Luggage. Don't use the bag tag and self carry off in the morning. Have your key breakfast and then walk off without having to worry about luggage. We never put luggage out and always carry off even on 7 nighters.
  23. i have never seen a shared balcony I'm sure its just a graphic error. Those aren't even connecting rooms. The stars indicate the room sleep 4. You can ask your stateroom steward to open up your balcony to the room next to you if you know the occupants and want a joined balcony.
